Property was under construction in areas. Bar was nice at night. Walking distance to War museum and Bourbon Street. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Stayed here due to Cruising. Would stay here again! Staff was very nice.

My bathroom was flooded but fixed immediately and I appreciate the maintenance team. The Valet team was excellent however the time it took and the process to retrieve your vehicle was awful. The cars were parked 5-blocks away which is unfair to the valet team. There should be an electronic way to alert the valet team to get your vehicle, like other hotels. They also need a golf cart or another vehicle to get to those 5-blocks. I can only imagine how the poor valet team feels during the summer. That is unfair for them to walk that far to get a vehicle. You charge $55 plus dollars to park nightly, so let’s take care of your Valet Team, Hampton Inn management…. Please

We were very disappointed in the breakfast buffet - The coffee, sausage's and yogurt ran out and was not being replaced! The waffle maker had a lineup around the corner - a second waffle maker would have been a good solution. We had 4 rooms booked and the day we checked out, I went to the front desk and asked that MY credit card be charged for ALL 4 rooms. My credit card declined on your machine and when I went to call my bank, your front desk clerk went ahead and CHARGED 3 of the rooms to the occupants CC. After speaking with my bank regarding my card declining, they advise me it was YOUR machine that was causing the error and NOT my card. When I went back to discuss with the clerk about this, he used a different machine and it worked fine!!! He then had to issue CC credits to 3 of the rooms and then charge my card that went through fine!!!! The issue with all of this is the fact that the amount charged and the amount refunded will be different dollar values due to the US exchange rate to Canadian.

We checked in after 3pm and didn’t have a room ready for us until around 530pm. Not what I would expect after paying for what was supposed to be a very nice hotel. We were comped our parking but the delay in check in affected our plans for the evening.

The parking situation was a nightmare. You had to valet and the line was so long and blocked the street. Then once the valet had our car, they left the window down and when we tried to find the valet to tell him the window was down, they couldn’t find our keys. It ended up fine, but was an unnecessary mess for a bit. There was also mold in our shower along the soap ledge.
