Property was under construction in areas. Bar was nice at night. Walking distance to War museum and Bourbon Street. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Stayed here due to Cruising. Would stay here again! Staff was very nice.

My bathroom was flooded but fixed immediately and I appreciate the maintenance team. The Valet team was excellent however the time it took and the process to retrieve your vehicle was awful. The cars were parked 5-blocks away which is unfair to the valet team. There should be an electronic way to alert the valet team to get your vehicle, like other hotels. They also need a golf cart or another vehicle to get to those 5-blocks. I can only imagine how the poor valet team feels during the summer. That is unfair for them to walk that far to get a vehicle. You charge $55 plus dollars to park nightly, so let’s take care of your Valet Team, Hampton Inn management…. Please

I’ve preciously stayed at this hotel which is why I picked it again. Very different experience. I got a standard room vs a suite like last time. The room as clean but there were holes in the shower curtain. However, I could ignore that but I cannot ignore service. From the front desk not greeting me when I walked up (just staring at me until I spoke, like they do at McDonalds) to the rude valet staff with similar disposition and attitudes. Note, the garage is small, so if it’s full, they will park your vehicle 5 blocks away. Hotel is very crowded on cruise ship port days as well. That wasn’t an issue for me, just an FYI. Unfortunately, I probably won’t stay here again. Too many choices in No to deal with inconsistent experiences.
