Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter

I wasn't so happy about our experience staying at this hotel. We had to wait for valet forever and also had to run the bath water for about 10 minutes before it got hot. The best part of the hotel is the location. You could literally walk everywhere. Other than than I'm not sure we'd visit this establishment again. The bar downstairs was great.

This Wyndam hotel is in a great location in the French Quarter. Walking distance to all the sights and sounds of New Orleans. Kids loved the indoor pool.

Enjoyed the Hotel restaurant and bar. Kiss made us feel at home. Great waiter very engaging.

We had a lovely stay recently. Our room was available when we checked in early which was a nice surprise. Our room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Our first night was very quiet, but it seemed that a bachelorette party came to town the next night. It became very loud in the hallway late in the afternoon and then again in the middle of the night. The noise did not last that long thankfully. The concierge, Kelly, was great! She gave us a couple of fantastic recommendations- namely the restaurant Atchafalaya, that quickly became our new favorite. In a nutshell, I would definitely stay at the Wyndham French Quarter again.

They have a great bar/restaurant, got me an early check in for free, kept my car for an extra 5 hours at no charge, ice machine on every floor, just a great place. The only thing my room didn't have was a closet space to hang clothes. I didn't need it, but some would.

Nice hotel in French Quarter. Valet parking is a little pricey

In the French Quarter near the river and the other large hotels. I was there in Dec , so good rates.

Hotel was great. Parking charge at the hotel for guest was outrageous.

Overall the hotel was a disappointment. We stayed with our 3 kids from NYC. It was very dated, lacked character, pretty musty, loud A/C, just overall all sort of low-end feel. The staff was not very friendly or hospitable with a few exceptions. The positive is that the location made it easy to get to everything in the French Quarter. Quick to walk all activities and easy to pop in and out of hotel during the day. The kids enjoyed having a pool for a swim in the evening. The location is on a rougher block near the seedier side of Bourbon Street. Lots of homeless folks right outside of the hotel and on the corner of Canal. Directly across from hotel is a budget shop where people seemed to buy alcohol and hang out and drink on the street. A cop was always there by the door but scruffy for sure.

Overall everything was nice except the way to except for the expensive breakfast.

Located just one block from Bourbon Street, it is in a good location in the French Quarter. Had a king size room, not overly large, but big enough for two. Bathroom was of a good size and had all of the regular amenities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room was quiet on a Wednesday night. View out of the window was not very good, burnt out building and a parking garage. Not a big deal. Helpful staff. As others have said, the worst thing is the parking. $40+.Take a shuttle from the airport, almost everything is in walking distance. I would stay here again.

Having never been to New Orleans, I picked this hotel based on the location - I was pleasantly surprised with my decision. While the hotel is not fancy, its perfect for what you need to do while in New Orleans - sleeping. The hotel is in a great spot within close walking distance to Bourbon St and Canal - very convenient to great restaurants and only a few block walk to the riverfront, it was great. The beds were comfortable - and while the pillows are a little soft for my liking, everything in the room was comfortable and sleep conducive. The hotel staff was friendly and happy to direct you to things. Overall, I don't have any complaints about my stay here. I would definitely come back here again.

This was a great experience, no complaints at all. Very clean rooms and the lobby staff was very profesional

The hotel staff were very accommodating. Always pleasant and they made our stay an interesting one. They have great knowledge about New Orleans. OUR ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND CLEAN. However the bathroom vanity did not provide sufficient space for personal items. The amenities were great!. The hotel was within close proximity to everything. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

In the French quarter so walking wasn't an issue, they have a parking garage but it costs almost as much as the room.

I enjoyed my stay. Staff was pleasant and responded immediately when there was an issue with another guest in the hallway.

I did not realize that by booking through Orbitz I would not get my reward points. I think this should be publicized. I thought there were refrigerators in the rooms. I requested one and it was delivered immediately. I had a lot of luggage and bags for a conference. I was helped in moving everything and getting it into a cab. Everyone was very courteous .

The hotel overall was pretty good. The biggest issue was the cost of parking. The rate was 38.00 a day plus another 10.00 in parking taxes.. What I paid in parking would have covered another day at the hotel. It really was absurd.

The first night the air did not work in our room. We requested to change rooms the next day. We were not offered a comp for the uncomfortable night nor any type of apology. The upside is the hotel is conveniently located and the staff was fairly nice.

I was able to sleep.during the day the sheet were clean
