If you decide to pay for breakfast through Orbit make sure that it’s the entire breakfast. I paid 15 bucks per person for Saturday Sunday & Monday Breakfast. All I could receive was a drink or a donut. Here it is the advertisement said 15 bucks per day for breakfast not a drink or a donut. Once I explained this to the hotel lady she said I was supposed to pay 30 a day for the whole breakfast, but on Orbit they only offered the 15 dollar per day breakfast which was very misleading.

The hotel looks great from the street and lobby. The front staff are friendly and quite helpful. They made the stay! The elevators are old and have an alarming delay before settling onto a floor and opening the doors. A spilled milky drink remained in the elevator for a while without being cleaned up. The room is spacious, but the bathroom is tiny. We had to move the small trashcan to make room for our feet when on the toilet. The bathroom door can’t open all the way because it hits the shower, so the space for a person to get ready is as wide as a door. This is not a bathroom for overweight people! We had to request a hair dryer and then had a hard time convincing the housekeeping staff that the room didn’t have one to start with. They didn’t want to leave until we gave them the broken dryer (even though we didn’t report one broken). We were out of the room from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm, but received no room cleaning in that time frame. Luckily we started with four towels and were able to make them stretch for all showers. Trashcans are small, so they were quite full by the time we checked out. The location is great and getting around was easy. The 4-star rating applies to the ground floor and not the guest rooms or facility.

All snacks closed…no convenience purchase store, one vending machine didn’t all purchase because it was asking for a letter and number purchase which the machine didn’t even have so we had to walk from 430 to 470 to purchase a coke, then one of the two ice machines did not work so we had to go from one end of the floor to another for ice that was not even frozen very well. The elevators were all messed up and either were not working or took forever to wait for service. The numbering system forgot the rooms do not make sense. The lobby was chilly while sitting to wait for our Uber or even just to walk through. Online implies there was a way to wash your own laundry but it’s actually a highly expensive laundry service. At least 3 times what we have paid in other areas, ver misleading. It would have been cheaper to keep my rental car another day and pay for valet service then and do my own laundry so the cost is absolutely ridiculous. The upside, the place is clean and the bed was comfortable.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful, hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated. Bar staff is always amazing. Pool ( after the DJ on Friday) was disgusting the next day, sticky mess everywhere, cushions gross, pool itself was full of...stuff. We are DJ's ourselves and understand playing to a crowd but the music was vulgar. Staff in the breakfast area of Holmes was and always is hateful. We've stayed 3 times and they have been unfriendly every time, will not attempt eating there again. We do however love this hotel, enjoy the pool parties ..we will be staying again.

Definitely staying here again

The staff was very nice. The hotel was very clean. They even had a pool party with inside the hotel. If you’re going to New Orleans, you should stay here. It’s right in the middle of all the party and so it’s not gonna be a quiet sleep, but it is so convenient and you don’t have to go anywhere to be a part of the mix.
