Very moldy , our room was unclean every day even after housecleaning there were papers, dust and crumbs in the floor. This is the last time. Our room did not have any windows and the noise and disrespect from all the guests drunk in the middle of the night was horrible. This hotel lacks serious supervision and it’s extremely unhealthy for guests to stay there due to the huge humidity and mold problem they have. Our clothes smell like mold. What a horrible waste of money . We are more tired than rested and this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in my life .

Yes the room is not soundproof, and you can hear everyone talking downstairs and cars & motorcycles raving. But we expected as much for a place so close to fun activities. Walking distance for all we wanted to do in a one day stop by. Great receptionists, with well fun and up beat attitude, thanks Joe and Elaine! Even the spider was nice not to bite my wife at night! Do get there early like 2 to get a parking if you’re driving, and get all you need for from the car, as they do lock the gate at night. But you won’t need you car since everything is walking distance.

The room was clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating. However, many rooms do not have windows which isn’t clear by looking at the building or pictures. It makes the rooms stuffy. Also, no elevator so you would need to carry your stuff up-to second floor. If you are looking to mostly sleep comfortably, it’s a good choice. It’s a three star hotel at its best—safe, clean and located at a convenient walking distance from all tourist sites in the area. Windows and no elevators part needs to be mentioned clearly on the booking site.

The Chateau Hotel is located very conveniently in the French Quarter 3 blocks from Jackson Square. From the train station, it will cost $15 on Uber. The staff is great! Very friendly people and willing to help you with any questions you may have. We had an issue with our air conditioner unit the night we arrived and it was addressed immediately. The courtyard is a quiet and relaxing space and there are tables where you can eat your food from local markets nearby.. We recommend the Quarter Grocery and Deli on Burgundy Street. But this is not a quiet place to stay. The walls were very thin and we could hear people in the next room snoring, coughing, and sneezing as if they were in our room. The area around the hotel, given its location, is not a quiet area too and you can expect revelry from the crowds on the street nearly every night. If you want quiet, stay in the corporate high rise properties near the super dome. But if you want a personalized, local experience, with convenient access to French Quarter tourism opportunities, stay here! The pictures of the rooms are accurate so don’t expect a closet unless yo.Ours had a shower bathroom and a coffee maker. Bring your own power strip if you have multiple phones, tablets, and chargers. We used our Netflix account to watch TV. Not sure what else was available. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Our decision to stay here again would depend on some other factors, but it’s worth staying here if you’re a NOLA newbie.

I LOVED this hotel. I was shocked at the location and value for what we paid. I scoured the internet for a hotel in the french quarter that would not cost an arm and a leg. I found this cute hotel and decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. It was my first time in NOLA and I will absolutely be staying here again. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They held our luggage without any issue, provided free bottled water upon request and the rooms were perfect and clean. They had streaming services on the TV which was also a nice touch when we wanted to rest. The location is gated which made me feel safe. On our first day we were walking around and stumbled upon Cafe Du Monde, bourbon street and Jackson square just a couple blocks away!
