First of all, the room was supposed to be ready upon our arrival. After a long road trip from Florida, we arrived at the hotel around 7:00 p.m. We were instructed to park in the garage and waited several minutes for assistance with our luggage, but no one came, so we had to carry our bags ourselves. When we reached the reception desk, we were informed that our room was not ready and that it was still being checked to ensure everything was in order. At that point, it was already past 7:00 p.m. After waiting about 20 minutes, I asked to speak with a supervisor to inquire about the delay, but the supervisor never came to speak with us. Shortly afterward, we were simply given the room keys without any apology. Once inside the room, we noticed a strange smell in the bathroom. The beds were not queen-sized as expected; they were quite small, and the sheets were very rough, almost like sandpaper. If we hadn’t been so exhausted, we would not have stayed. Overall, our experience at this hotel was very unpleasant.

My Husband and I stayed for our Honeymoon and absolutely loved the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel! It is so perfectly located in the French Quarter. Quick walks to lots of places and short Lyfts/Ubers to others. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The hotel itself is gorgeous! Very clean and comfortable. The little coffee shop and Ribs Room bar are fantastic! We would definitely recommend and would come back and stay in the future.

The doormen and bell staff were excellent. The room was not ready, and we had to wait 2 1/2 hours for the room, making us late to events we were scheduled to attend. The staff at the desk refused to help us find a changing room to get ready for our events, necessary since the room was late. The room was small, the bathroom tiny and poorly laid out. There was no thermostat control in the room, which was freezing with hard blowing AC. Had to calll the front desk multiple times to get the AC adjusted, which they said they would to remotely. They didn't. The room had mold and was not clean. I could not be paid to stay there.

Great place to stay. The room was spotless. Great night scene with jazz shows, gorgeous bar and restaurant. Pity nobody told me that the pool and the entire rooftop were under renovation and were inaccessible.
