Loved Melrose Mansion. Had some issues in advance obtaining a pack-and-play (if you're traveling with a baby, speak to them in advance about having one brought from another property, or bring your own). But our stay was so wonderful once we arrived, the hassle over that was forgotten. The property is unbelievably attractive; the staff was exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable; the happy hour wine and cheese in the beautiful front room was fun; the pool was lovely--though unheated, but we enjoyed hanging poolside with our wine; and the overall location was terrific. Also, they must have done an amazing job insulating the house during the renovation because we never heard any sounds from other rooms, despite the fact that they were almost fully booked. We definitely plan to stay at Melrose Mansion again on a future trip to New Orleans. Would highly recommend.

This place is beautiful, excellent service and staff, perfect location everything in walking distance, and they serve continental breakfast and wine & cheese daily!!

I thought the staff was very helpful and inviting, especially when providing recommendations nearby. The mansion itself is beautiful, and all of the decor was gorgeous. Next time I'm back in town, I will surely be staying here!

Charming old building with renovated guest rooms, comfortable beds and good service. It was nice to dive into the swimming pool after waking in the hit and they served wine every day at 4pm. Breakfast was OK, croissants, muffins, yogurt, cereal , grapes and orange juce. Coffee was very decent. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

What a great place to stay. Close to the part of Bourbon Street and the parades you want to be at BUT far enough away to actually rest when you need to. It is a pleasure to stay there. The morning refreshments especially the coffee were wonderful. The room was outstanding. It is a converted mansion-no joke there.

The hotel was super-clean, staff excellent and friendly, and helpful. High ceilings, classy mansion vibe! Nice private pool! But....the bed was too close to the door however, a big no-no in my book. Also, the bathroom, although huge and airy, was designed poorly. Moving the towel racks to appropriate places would fix that easily. The breakfast spread could be improved, but it was still a nice touch. I would come back to this hotel anytime. It's quiet, a nice contrast to the insanity of Bourbon Street. haha~

The Melrose is a beautiful facility and very conveniently located to the French Quarter and the Marigny areas. Our room was very clean and pleasant.

Overall a really nice hotel in a great location. We unfortunately got placed in the hallway outside the common area where the Continental Breakfast is served. Unless your a morning person, that part sucked.

This hotel is something we still talk about... even two years later! It's an old mansion renovated with very modern pieces. Absolutely a must stay... seriously! Don't hesitate.

Really nice room. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The marble bathroom was very nice and had a great shower. Great wireless. Only drawback was the bed's mattress which needed replacing and was uncomfortable. Would recommend to others but they need to address that mattress.

From the minute we arrived the mansion was a fantastic choice to stay in the french quarter of new orleans. The staff was friendly and helpful. THe room was gorgeous. It even had a washer/dryer . Great amenities like a pool and breakfast and wine /cheese. I would definitely go back.

My wife and I usually stay at a chain hotel when we go to NOLA but I booked a room at the Melrose Mansion to try something different. We were both pleasantly surprised. Great location on the edge of the French Quarter. Walking distance to the great restaurants and activities there. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms and bathrooms are updated but maintain it's old time appeal. The staff members were great as well.

We loved staying at this old mansion with so much charm! Staff was wonderful and room was spacious and clean. Short walk to Bourbon St or Frenchmen St for amazing food and music.

Everything was perfect. We only had to walk a few blocks to the French Quarter. The staff was extremely helpful with tips on what to do and see in the area. Slept very well, very quiet. They serve a continental breakfast that we ate by the pool. I would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Melrose Mansion, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The unit was very clean and I am a neat freak! Great swimming pool open 24 hours! They offer a light continental breakfast and have a wine and cheese hour in the evening. It is just a short walk to fun Bourbon Street or the more quiet but beautiful streets of the French Quarter. The only things I would add to this place are a laundry service and room service, that is the only reason I gave it a four instead of a five star rating. I will definitely stay there again.

Perfect walking distance to the French Quarter but far enough away for a quiet getaway

The hotel was beautiful. It had been recently renovated (as far as I could tell) with modern furnishings. High ceilings made the somewhat cozy room feel much bigger. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even had a small gym on the 3rd floor with a surprising amount of free weights. I will definitely be staying there the next time I am in the area.

The Melrose Mansion Suites is nice accommodations, walking distance to the French Quarter, very friendly helpful staff, Continental breakfast was lacking but better than nothing, clean rooms, pillows are not the best but the bed was comfortable, amenities were scarce, coffee maker in the rooms with no coffee, wine glasses no cork screw, mini fridge didn't work, over rated on the luxury deluxe suite description more like a room. A little on the expensive side for what you really get but it is better than a large hotel chain. Close to the Port of Call for the best hamburger!

Beautiful old house, 20 foot ceilings. Modern furnishings in the rooms, beautiful upscale bath. Located on Esplanade, across the street from the French Quarter, in the Marigny neighborhood. Brief walk from FQ tourist attractions and the boozy district. Also a short walk to Frenchmen Street music district. Right across the street from a friendly neighborhood bar. Nice pool and poolside deck, not so useful for my November visit. The morning coffee and pastries and the afternoon wine and cheese are ok, nothing special. Friendly and helpful staff.

It´s a romantic building but its missing something else, the staff its ordinary and doesnt do anything for make your stay more spacial. But it stills a very nice place and woth it
