This hotel scammed us. We were asked to provide a credit card at check-in for the deposit. After we checked out, there was a charge on our credit card from AC Hotel for the room, which was already pre-paid through Orbitz. We contacted the hotel many times to get our refund for the incorrect charge, but no one we spoke with could resolve the itself. The first person we spoke with said they would put a ticket in for the refund and it would be refunded to us in 5-7 business days. We did not get our refund after the indicated amount of time so we called again; at which time, we were told that they do not see any history of any refund being initiated and they would submit another ticket. We called a 3rd time after a couple of days to check on the status and were told to contact Orbitz (we did and that led no where since Orbitz is not the one who incorrectly charged us). I called again today and was told to call back tomorrow morning speak to a manager. There has been no attempt by AC Hotel to resolve this issue. Needless to say, I would not stay here again given the time and effort we have spent in trying to get our refund for an incorrect charge that was an error on the hotel’s part.
Save yourself the headache and from possibly getting scammed, DO NOT STAY HERE. There are plenty of other 4-star hotels in the area that are not as scummy or shady.
