no amenities in this place. very old and dirty hotel

Location is very good. The style of the propperty and decoration very nice. Unfortunately cleaning was not really good, at first sigth it looks ok, but washing more carefully not, there was a lisard and a big bug, the shower courtain was mold. The bed sheets stains and torn in some parts. The bed has a dangerous piece of metal that injure me.

Again I love location. I stay here a lot. I'm happy with the staff customer service. I just wish they would clean the bathrooms better. This time I had all the linens and soaps, lotions, shampoo, etc. But that shower curtain needs to go in the trash. Room 23.

Wasn’t really as clean wasn’t really comfortable during my stay

I love restored properties and historic hotels. This one has some very lacking service, however. I stayed 7 days, and only because I BEGGED the front desk, I got maid service one day. No sheet change; no new soap. Pathetic. The worst was that it was noisy. One long hallway where the drunks came in at 3 in the morning and woke everybody up. One day the front desk clerk was having a shouting match with his girlfriend at 5:20 AM, for an hour. Not a great experience. I'd hoped for better.

Love this place but house keeping is terrible. I haven't gotten a room that was 100% together yet. I didn't want the room next to the front desk because of possible noise. I was told a room was available upstairs. We get there and literally the door is open, room not cleaned, housekeeping no where to be found. The front desk guy was annoyed. So I had no other choice but to take that noisy room #11. Had to tell the night person that I was sick of hearing this group congregate in the hall. It was for two hours. People after a certain time should enter and exit from the gate attached to the courtyard or no one should be given room 11.

The price & location mean they ought to care for their property more! Bad window air conditioners, drafty doors, the whole place smelled like Granny's mildewy den.

I really love this place. I like the location, staff, and the weird ambiance. But they just need to clean a little bit better in the bathrooms. But I am definitely going to come back. It's always a pleasure.

Good neighborhood, excellent front desk staff. Good restaurants to walk to Property rather run down

Great comparative value for location - street has street car, French Quarter about 15 min walk, train/bus terminal about 10 min walk, WW2 museum just a few blocks away, plenty of food establishments close by. Bathrooms in need of some renovation - lifting tiles, bad shower/bath water splitter, however rooms have character and are nicely furnished and don't have a boring, generic hotel feel. No fridge, no microwave, but good TV and climate control. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice historical houses very clean and friendly the only downside is some of the rooms are a little small

Decent hotel in a decent location. The room and bathroom was a little small for 4 ladies but we weren't in the room for very often so it didn't bother us too much. The staff for the most part was extremely friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved the little courtyard and spent all of our downtime out there.
