Prince Conti Hotel

Recent guest reviews

Shower curtain OLD, water pressure very weak, very noticeable struggle to maintain water temp...kept going from warm to hot to cold, etc. Beds not bad, carpets stained. Overall, ok but after staying at another hotel just around the corner, this one is in horrible condition yet charge the same. Worse part was the strong chemical smell...like electrical components burning.

I love the location of this hotel. It was around the corner from Bourbon St. and all the restaurants that I wanted to go to. Since it's not on Bourbon, it's still quiet at night for a good sleep. The beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly. Checking in and out was easy and quick. My room was ready when I arrived. They held my bags for me since I had a later flight. Overall, I had a great time in New Orleans and I'm glad that I chose this hotel.

Pros: great location next to bourbon right in the French quarter, the cafe is good, staff is friendly, comfortable bed, reasonable price Cons: the room smelled smokey/Moldy, the carpet looked old and dirty, the walls were filthy. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again because I just couldn't handle the smell. But if you're looking for something cheap in a good location and you can handle subpar cleanliness- this is your place.

This is a great hotel with a fantastic staff and my preferred place to stay when visiting New Orleans.

nice old place well maintained staff is great and within easy walking distance of everything in the french quarter can park at hotel for fee, or park 5 blocks away for $4 less its worth it to keep car there.nice bar attached

Nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only complaint was the queen bed was almost against the wall making it awkward to get in and out of when shared. Shower was not the best, but adequate......one must make allowances for the age of the building. The ambience of the building was reflective of the area.....perfect to enhance the experience of the French Quarter. I would enjoy staying here again.

Relaxing atmosphere and great location to explore New Orleans. Great staff and comfortable rooms. We're looking forward to a return trip.

We were treated wonderfully at this hotel, but we didn't care for New Orleans on a whole, so we didn't stay as long as we had planned.

Facilities were not clean! Some of the lights didn't work. the TV remote was only somewhat functional.. But the help was pretty good; knowledgeable, and polite. Biggest objection was poor cleanliness.

If you want a convenient spot to Bourbon St that is apart from the merriment, then this is the spot for you. However, our room was shabby, in a state of disrepair and quite dusty around the floor boards, with visible cobwebs hanging on walls and ceiling. Walls are also very thin. You can hear your neighbours snoring. They also charge you a room deposit at check in, which was rather absurd, considering the condition of the room. I don't know if I would stay there again when there are so many other hotels in the area.

Absolutely loved staying in Prince Conti. First off, the hotel gave us the ability to have early-check in at the last moment, we had left our previous hotel at 11am and had luggage, making it impossible to get around town easily. We decided to make sure that our last night was right in the middle of the Quarter, and it was the best idea we could have had. Just blocks away from Art and local shops--perfect location. The room was nothing too fancy, but it had a very old school cozy feel to it, which is really what you want in New Orleans if you're doing it right :) No view from the window in our room, but we spent all of our time sleeping or out enjoying the town. They also have the cutest little cafe to take advantage of. Great Stay, perfect location!

The room was clean and comfortable with sufficient seating, lighting and closet space. There was a full bath tub/shower and a sink in the bathroom with complomentary shampoo and lotion. The ice machine e is on the second floor We slept well and the room was surprisingly quiet. The location was great. There was a parade one street away and bicycle rentals and tours were about three blocks away. The brunch cafe that is adjacent to the hotel was good and Bombay, the adjacent restaurant was excellent. We plan to stay here again.

great location near french quarter but hotel needs some remodeling. room carpet was dirty and needs to be washed.

Had a great 4 night vacation in NOLA. Recommend taking the city tour. Had the best gumbo and oysters at he Creole Cookery on Toulouse Street.

We could here people talking and coughing in the next room. It's like the wall wasn't there. It became worse when they turned TV on. No sleep for anybody. Room was clean but it looked worn out. Sheets were old and had spots on them. Staff was nice overall but there was one lady at the front desk that wouldn't look at me when I asked her a question. She was pretty rude as well. For the money that they are asking per night, you can definitely find a better hotel

Very welcoming staff and very willing to help. Great at offering information about the surrounding area.

The hotel was fine. The location was great and we did pay less than other hotels around which is why we chose it. The bathroom was very small.

Close to the nightlife. Room was a little tight but not bad at all. Helpful staff.

Fan in bathroom didn't work. Pillows were junk and we called for more but they never came. Location was perfect though, close to Bourbon st but not noisy at all.

This was a last minute booking for us. The lobby was pretty but the hotel has a weird smell to it. Thankful for a place to sleep but I don't think we will stay here again.
