Great Location....Walking distance to many things, yet quiet and calm. Perfect place to stay in New Orleans with kids. Amazing staff! Everyone from the front desk, bartenders, restaurant waiters, parking attendants and custodians were always so friendly and helpful. Truly great experience!

We will be back. It is the best hotel in the french quarter. Most of the nice hotels are look like they are falling apart but the W was able to make an old building updated, fresh and clean. Great decor and style. Staff was nice, friendly and hip. My wife and i felt at home as we are alway the hottest people in the room and the hotel is the hottest hotel in the quarter. The staff was upset when we checked out. I dont think thay wanted my model wife to leave. Lol. The only problem was the mattress was too frim. It's in the Best location to walk around. And when wify's feet hurt from navigating the jacked sidewalks and puddles in her 4 inch Jeff Campbell's, uber was alway right there to roll us to the next hot spot. We will make this an annual event for us.

Great smaller hotel in the heart of the French Quarter...very helpful staff...on site valet parking...walking distance to everything !

My experiences at the W hotel was disappointing. At first, I was really excited about staying there because of all the raving reviews and the proximity to Bourbon Street but the hotel was not that tidy or as amazing as everyone said it would be. The person managing the front desk was very pleasant and informative. We got a room on the 4th floor which faced the courtyard which was okay but the room was small. There were numerous things that bothered me for example, the linen had some dirt marks on it, the walls were so thin so I heard every conversation both neighbors had and the bathroom door was unable to close all the way so there was a visible gap when you sit down on the toilet. For me, I do not want to see the bed from the toilet and vice versa. The coffee maker was super dirty and I did not even want to touch it. The tv also turned off every so often and would not turn back on. We had asked a person from facilities to come and check it and, they said just reset it. So every time it happened which was more than a handful of times, we would reset it ourselves. If it wasn't for the proximity to Bourbon Street, I would not have picked this hotel. I would rather walk 15 minutes to a cleaner and more spacious hotel room.

Stayed for 1 night but it was excellent the staff we're very helpful and kind always asking if you needed anything and making sure you enjoyed your stay the courtyard is very peaceful a great place to relax the hotel is about 2 blocks from Jackson square and 1 from bourbon you get what you pay for at this hotel every room is beautifully designed

Good Service but we needed to wait a bit longer for our request bc hotel was understaffed. Also a huge deal that the pool which was previously advertised as open 24hrs now closed early in the evening. With temperatures in the mid 90s it was highly inconvenient.

Great location friendly stuff good food. Clean and modern ace great for couple or friends we enjoy the pool and the back yard great bar too

This hotel was perfect. My husband and I went for a birthday weekend and when the hotel staff found out, they sen is champagne and cheesecake! All the staff I spoke with we super helpful, knowledgable, and friendly (even the room service staff!) the location was far enough from bourbon that you didn't hear the noise, but close enough to everything great about the city that you aren't left out. Would recommend this to anyone!

Staff was excellent. Due to an overbooking they complimentary gave us a free room at another hotel until our room was ready the next day

Stile and ambiance is great. The staff is more then nice. Very accommodating and trying to deal with what they have been handed. I was told, the Hotel is owned by the management company. so nobody else is to blame when a place is under construction and still tries to operate. the elevator motors are making at least 3 rooms uninhabitable, the pool cannot be used, because there is construction going on and gardeners are cutting even single leaves with motorized equipment. Doors and walls are not sound prove. I would still go back once construction is over, but certainly never stay in any of the rooms around the elevators on any floor of the hotel.

Tucked away on Chartres, the W has the feel of a boutique hotel. Although the hotel was undergoing renovations to the lobby, bar and restaurant area, staying there was still enjoyable in large part due to their staff. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping personel were friendly and efficient. The room was typically W - colorful and comfortable and the bathroom was large with a great shower. The windows were able to be opened and overlooked the swimming pool (music could get a little loud and a lovely courtyard. Room service was brought in from a restaurant nearby and was delicious (but expensive). The hotel has a complimentary shuttle on a first come first serve basis which will take you anywhere within a five mile radius. I would definitely stay at the W French Quarter on my next trip to New Orleans.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend and it was AMAZING! It was definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was amazing with a balcony and we absolutely loved the courtyard. The staff was also equally amazing.

We were not informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Also, as we have a small child, we booked a king size bed. When we arrived, there were no kings available. Furthermore, there was no room service. Wish we would have know these details before we booked.

This hotel is in the nice part of the French Quarter. It's chic. The pool is more for lounging, too small to swim in. There is a bartender by the pool only Thurs- Sun. But other than that, the staff is hospitable and they remembered my name. And off course, the room was very clean.

My friend and I were so excited when we went into the hotel. It was beautiful. The valet parked our car, we got our key and to the room we went. When we get to rooom 213 It sounds like there is a jet liner in our room about to take off. We figured maybe they had some heavy machinery above up doing construction and it would end when we got back. So we went to dinner and all around to see the sights. When we returned it was still making that noise. We got less than 2 hours sleep because of that noise. I would have rathered the city noise to keep me up. When we were checking out I was starting to tell the person but she just picked her hand to wave me off. In the night it was hard to find someone to let them know this noise is unacceptable. Seriously this was a VERY loud noise coming on and off. Absolutley horrible for such a beautiful hotel.

This hotel is great location if you are looking to hang out in the quarter. One block off of Bourbon. Very nice and quaint. Windows that open up to the street. Very small hotel but accented very nicely. Fits in very well. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel which is not a big deal since you are in the middle of the French Quarter.

Location was great, safe, for walking to Bourbon street. Close to great food, fun-times. Staff of hotel was very polite and helpful. Can't think of anything I would have changed..will definately stay again..Smiles

Nice hotel. They had some construction going on - but other than that it was great!

Location is fabulous. Close to everything you need to visit. You're in the heart of the French Quarter but far enough away from the Bourbon Street obnoxiousness. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept on at a hotel. Love the hotel's cool vibe.

Room was not ready at check in 3:00pm.. Saturday.. Room was very mediocre for a 5 star hotel, closet like feeling with elevator noise. Ask for interior rooms if staying weekends... e.i. weddings or other parties. However, staff did make changes to our accomodations and we left on a happier note.
