The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. The ceiling of the shower had some black stains that could be mold. One of the light bulbs were broken and did not get fixed during our stay. To be fair, in our busy schedule we thought we could rely on the maid to report it. The shampoo was not replenished once during the 4 night stay. The last morning, we ran out. Typically hotels refill toiletries once opened. The hotel did not offer any breakfast.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Location was great! Staff was friendly! They provided great local restaurants and places to visit.

This place had black mold everywhere where I have pictures. Roaches everywhere. Bug and little. Cracked title cocking removed from the shower, The staff was rude. The place smelled so bad like mold. Horrible hotel.

I liked the location of the property. However, I was dismayed to have to wait over 45 minutes to check in to the hotel due to an audit that had begun. This occurred even though I advised the hotel that I would be late checking in. During our wait, the valet was very kind. The front desk clerk chose to yell at us from an office somewhere. She did not come out until the very last minute relying on the valet to assist her with the check in process. The next day, the elevators for the guests were not functioning. We were advised that we had to use the staff elevator which were located "around the corner." After searching around the corner for over 15 minutes, we went back to the front desk where someone had to take us to the elevator. By the way, around the corner apparently translates to: around the corner, through a closed unmarked door, and past the kitchen. The first day, no one cleaned our room. We had to request service. The room was very old which would be fine if the mattress on the bed was comfortable. You could feel the springs in the bed. The blanket was very thin and we had to request a second blanket. This was as far from a 4 star hotel as one can get. When suggesting the hotel is a 4 star, I expect it to be AT LEAST as nice as the red roof inn which is a 3 star. I don't intend to return to this hotel and would warn others from visiting.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Not only was the hotel in need of and overall renovation our room had little water pressure the first day and when we woke up the next morning. NO water pressure. Our friends on the 3rd floor had pressure and the first floor had pressure. When we inquired we were informed it was a city issue but as we were checking out we discovered that guest on the 5th floor had a flood in their room and I suspect it was broken pipe. They were complaining about the condition of the hotel as we were. Nothing was done to accommodate us except for we are "sorry" but this is a city issue and not with the hotel. We had read the online reviews a few days before our arrival and were concerned about how the stay would go but did not expect it to be as bad as it was. We definitely didn't get the room we paid for and we had to leave without being able to use the restroom or the shower. We could not continue our day in NOLA and just drove back home. Do not stay here until they renovate or correct the problems. The restaurant was closed also and there was no vending on our floor. If I could give it a negative rating I would.

The hotel is old, old, old.. it was very cold the 2 night we spent at the Royal Crescent Hotel. My wife and I spent the day on the town and came back to the hotel to find out that there was no hot water in our room. We called the desk and they said they would send someone up from engineering, but the guy they sent up was the guy who opened the door up for us when we got there.... He said quote " I am going to pump it up for us"... What ever that ment it did nothing. Next night same thing... Bar was closed for renovation.. no food.. no vending machines.. cracked tiles in bathroom.. ect. ect. I am very upset.. I will never go back there

Bed was comfortable but ceilings were falling in above bed and in bathroom. Tv was small and did not get any channels well. Staff was nice. Not even a soda machine.

No amenities, no soda machine, no food after dinner, parking is expensive and valet-driven.

Very basic hotel. The website advertises "luxury" experience. That is very different from what we observed. Here's what we experienced on our recent stay: musty smell in the room, peeling wallpaper throughout the hotel, rusted vents, leaking toilet, paper thin walls, exceptionally small shower stall, dirty carpet, no windows in the room, no lobby coffee service, no ice machine, only one working elevator, very little hotel staff, repeatedly had to request more than one towel per room for my husband and myself, and front desk staff with low professionalism.

Waited for 20 min in a tow-away zone to valet. Room really needs updating - the carpet is uneven, the bed was terribly uncomfortable and there was a poorly patched area of the bathroom ceiling (like they didn't care enough to finish the job).

The Orbitz site says "pets stay free" however, on check in, I was charged $50.00 plus tax for my 9 pound dog. I would not have stayed here had I known. The listing on Orbitz needs to be changed.

It was an ok stay.. the lobby could be made more inviting. Lighting in lobby and elevator could be better. Elevators need a lot of work.

Nice hotel close to everything that we wanted to do I recommend it for anybody

I apologize for the issues you had during your stay with us. As for breakfast, our restaurant is closed so that the renovation can begin. We are starting a total renovation. New Restaurant, new lobby and new guestrooms. Hope you will be able to try us in the fall when all is complete. I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

I apologize for the inconveniences you had during your stay. I will bring this to the attention of the guest services manager about the audit. One of the elevators did do down and the elevator repair company had been called. No excuse for why no one took you to the services elevator. Know that we are scheduled for a renovation in May that will replace the furniture, flooring, lighting, redesign the lobby and the entrance and give us a new restaurant with c new concept that should be awesome.

I deeply apologize for the issues you had during your stay with us. I promise that I will get with the General Manager and Chief Engineer to find out what the issue was and what was done that did not fix the problem. Our company took over the hotel a couple of months ago and we are working hard to try and correct these issues.
