The hotel is old, old, old.. it was very cold the 2 night we spent at the Royal Crescent Hotel. My wife and I spent the day on the town and came back to the hotel to find out that there was no hot water in our room. We called the desk and they said they would send someone up from engineering, but the guy they sent up was the guy who opened the door up for us when we got there.... He said quote " I am going to pump it up for us"... What ever that ment it did nothing. Next night same thing... Bar was closed for renovation.. no food.. no vending machines.. cracked tiles in bathroom.. ect. ect. I am very upset.. I will never go back there
Bed was comfortable but ceilings were falling in above bed and in bathroom. Tv was small and did not get any channels well. Staff was nice. Not even a soda machine.
No amenities, no soda machine, no food after dinner, parking is expensive and valet-driven.
Very basic hotel. The website advertises "luxury" experience. That is very different from what we observed. Here's what we experienced on our recent stay: musty smell in the room, peeling wallpaper throughout the hotel, rusted vents, leaking toilet, paper thin walls, exceptionally small shower stall, dirty carpet, no windows in the room, no lobby coffee service, no ice machine, only one working elevator, very little hotel staff, repeatedly had to request more than one towel per room for my husband and myself, and front desk staff with low professionalism.
Waited for 20 min in a tow-away zone to valet. Room really needs updating - the carpet is uneven, the bed was terribly uncomfortable and there was a poorly patched area of the bathroom ceiling (like they didn't care enough to finish the job).
The Orbitz site says "pets stay free" however, on check in, I was charged $50.00 plus tax for my 9 pound dog. I would not have stayed here had I known. The listing on Orbitz needs to be changed.
It was an ok stay.. the lobby could be made more inviting. Lighting in lobby and elevator could be better. Elevators need a lot of work.
Nice hotel close to everything that we wanted to do I recommend it for anybody
As we checked in we where given a dirty room staff apologized and gave us a larger room which was very nice and comfy the spa tub was closed
The restaurant was under construction so you couldn't visit it during the day. Lobby was hot. Pool deck was under construction. I wasn't impressed with the hotel. It is not run by Omni anymore.
They've tried their best to keep the Omni Royal Crescent up to date with nice touches like new door knobs and comfortable mattresses, but the building is somewhat ragged and the staff just aren't very good. We had to switch rooms because our first room was damp and smelled musty. the second room was much better, but didn't get cleaned on day one. it has an odd half shower door, too - just a swinging pane of glass that doesn't keep much water off the floor. They tried, but definitely won't stay again.
The location, room cleanliness, and staff were great! No wifi. I am there for a conference and no WiFi in the room. They gave me multiple log ins and none connected. Very frustrating! I couldn’t do any work in my room. If no WiFi is ok, then stay here.
This place looked nice at first, but the devil was in every detail - inappropriate drawings on the menu, the towel rack fell apart, incredibly thin walls to hear the neighbors conversations easily, ink stains all over the cover that no one noticed/washed. Really just everything was lame except for the house salad, pretty good lol.
friendly staff. Beautiful clean rooms. Very historical. Perfect area
The staff was pleasant and accommodating the facilities were limited the hot water was limited the menu selection was limited however the location of the hotel was great. It was two blocks from Canal Street and close to everything else
We stayed here for 4 nights. Felt very welcomed and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. As an LGBTQ couple, we were treated really well.
The room and hallways are tired. Room could use a deep cleaning not just the everyday once over.

I deeply apologize for the issues you had during your stay with us. I promise that I will get with the General Manager and Chief Engineer to find out what the issue was and what was done that did not fix the problem. Our company took over the hotel a couple of months ago and we are working hard to try and correct these issues.
