I loved that the property was with walking distance of the French Quarters and many of my attractions. The building was beautiful, clean and well maintained. I was impressed with all that is going on in the world they staff maintain the cleanliness of the main entrance and all the hotel floors.

It was close to all the good food district. Close to Burbon St

I like that the property is a short walk to Bourbon street. This way you can enjoy the party life but then leave and get adequate rest. Short walk to Jackson square. Cafe du Monde, the Insectarium. Jimmy Js and Brennan’s had amazing food and were walking distance. There’s no room service but you’re in New Orleans. Walk out and get something tasty. NOLA is the type of place you stay for many 4 days so it wasn’t a big deal not having dressers to put everything away. The hotel was quiet and clean.

Location a plus. The downside of that is the city noise all night long. Hotel doesn’t have much to offer. We decided this hotel will not be on our list of future places to stay.

I made this reservation in May for the Royal Cresent Hotel instead I arrive to find the hotel has changed in every aspect and I was not notified by Orbitz or the hotel. I was not even sure I was at the right hotel because the name was Magnolia. I had to go inside to check to make sure I had the right place to stay. I booked this hotel because I stayed there several years ago and loved the old world charm and decor. I arrived to construction and a restaurant that was closed. The rooms were redone to look like IKEA furniture. There was no where to place clothing that did not need to be hung up. There were shelves instead of dressers. I was very disappointed in this stay. I feel that someone should have notified me of the changes so I could make up my own mind whether or not I wanted to stay in this "changed" hotel.

Nice newly renovated and clean. Staff was friendly

Thank you for sharing comments about your stay. I am sorry the new rooms design does not fit your preferences and the confusion in hotel name as we transition to the Magnolia New Orleans.
