Everything was nice and clean. With the exception of finding a sippy cup under the couch and an empty pill bottle above the refrigerator. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Front desk clerks were somewhat nice, but didn't have knowledge to print out receipt. Housekeeping and the breakfast staff were the best employees. Over the top nice people.

Our 6 day stay was terrific. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything we needed, special thanks to the sweet cleaning lady who made a special bed for our little toddler. Will definitely stay at this location again.

Great staff: needed more pillows and blankets and gave us within minutes. Comfort rooms and beds: fits eight people Amenities good for kids: good size pool, baskeball and tennis mini courts

We had stayed here previously while my wife was pregnant and decided that it was a great family hotel at that trip. Now that our son is 5 years old we decided to go back and our idea of the hotel hadn't changed. Fantastic location away from the extreme nightlife that isn't conducive to being in bed early with a youngin' but close enough to get to the quarter, streetcars, and many other attractions so you don't feel completely helpless having to walk back to the hotel after a night partying. Complimentary breakfast was top notch and something we looked forward to every morning. Staff was friendly and attentive to guests needs. Elevator did break down with someone in there while we were staying but didn't affect us. Laundry facilities could use a major upgrade by taking credit card and having machines that worked better (my wife had a shirt ripped in the wash/dryer). Valet is pretty expensive so I would recommend using Spot Hero instead and park on the ST. Joseph/Magazine corner as a self park. 4 days came to $90 for us, where I believe the valet was somewhere between 30 and 40 per day at the hotel, but I get the desire for valet parking instead of self park so no knock on the hotel.

This Residence Inn was a bit disappointing to me. It was off the beaten path of where we wanted to be. It was not very clean. The elevator that worked had finger prints all over it and needed a good scrubbing. That was my first impression. The room it self was clean but had a bad odor when we first walked in. When we were down by the pool on Thursday from 1:00 until 5:00 they were doing lawn maintenance. It was loud and annoying. Everyone at the pool was very annoyed. Maybe they should have scheduled earlier in the day and earlier in the week. We had to ask for sheets and blankets for the pullout bed. It look a couple hours and 2 more phone calls to get to us. When we were down by the pool on Friday night there were no towels. The housekeeping person said he would be back in 20 minutes. He never came back. It was a cold walk back to the room. My daughter even went and asked for towels at the front desk.

The room was large and comfortable, but the carpets need cleaning.

I had a wonderful experience! The room was very clean. The suite was spacious with a full kitchen. I felt right at home. There was also a toaster and microwave in the room so if you had extras from breakfast, you could warm it up. The continental breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices. One morning, I woke up late and missed breakfast and one of the workers went to the back to see if there was any food leftover. I would definitely use this hotel again when I come back to Essence Festival because they even extend breakfast hours for people who attend Essence Fest!

Hotel was in a great area, walking (fairly lengthy walk though) to French quarter and other fun areas. Rooms and hotel were very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly. This is NOT a luxury hotel if you are looking for all the little bells and whistles don't do this nice hotel a disservice and stay here. The breakfast was good and included many options. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very good free breakfast, much better than most hotels. Convenient walks to the convention center, aquarium, art museun, and restaurants (check out Cochon). Not super close to the French quarter but totally walkable, we did it several times. Very friendly staff who held our bags for us on the last day when we had a late flight.

Our room was clean and spacious for 2 people. Great location. 4 blocks from convention center and a few blocks from the WWII museum. Also, right in the middle of some terrific up and coming restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. Free breakfast is a great benefit. Its the usual eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, and some fruit and yogurt, which was fine for us. my wife eats a gluten free diet and she was always able to find something good to eat. (Clarification - I can't certify that the oatmeal is gluten free, so if you have celiac, you need to double check with the staff). most hotel staff was very nice. Front desk personnel were hit and miss. Some nicer than others. They need to work on more consistent and friendly front desk personnel. overall, we had a very good experience and would stay there again.

Hotel was horrible. Valet parking is 42.00 a day. Didnt clean the room for 2 days. They gave me new sheets a towels in a bag, so I could change them as if I was housekeeping. Will never visit this hotel again.

room is adjacent to a street, can hear street/cars noise all night

Wonderful location. Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast choices were very good. Room furnishings were a little dated, but clean. Very comfortable bed.

Busy place. A bit older but still nice. The front desk is understaffed. I shouldn't have to stand there for 30 minutes to have food and drinks billed to my room or pay for them. Dont leave in a hurry, Valet is also understaffed and good luck getting a luggage cart at check out.

Everything at this location was good -- the employees (marcy, casey, etc., the room) -- except the high parking cost.. A few years ago, I visited this establishment. The parking was in the lot to the right rear and it was complimentary. The parking cost is exhorbitant - with tax 42.00 per night. There is no option for self park, except the meters on the street that have to be fed every 2 hours.

Full kitchen and spacious room was what we were looking for. The breakfast everyday was awesome with a lot of choices. It was perfect for families specially who do not need to go somewhere with their kids to eat breakfast. The staff member at the breakfast room was very friendly and helpful. I wish there were extra pillows and blankets in the room. Otherwise it is perfect!

We had a very pleasant stay, it was easy to find a taxi to take us to our cruise ship.

This property is nothing fancy, but it's always clean and the staff is very nice. It's only a few short blocks to the Conv Ctr, and this older New Orleans warehouse district is going through a major facelift with new hotels and restaurants opening all the time. The property is much more quiet than the hotels in the French Quarter which is about 3/4 of a mile away, but can still find it's share of inebriated revellers braying in the hallways at 3am, especially on weekends.
