My family LOVES this hotel. It's in the perfect location downtown (a block off St Charles so perfect for Mardi Gras) and the kids love the rooftop pool (often to the chagrin of the hipsters just trying to grab a drink and meet other single hipsters). This is why we just stayed again for Jazzfest and pretty much have to stay here every time we go back to New Orleans (which we do 3-4 times/year).

Live music was a big plus. The staff was very courteous.

The room was dark, sparse, and depressing. The first night of my stay, I had to call the front desk 3 times to get someone to come up and exchange out the TV remote, which wasn’t working. Finally, we were gone from the room from 9am until pm, and housekeeping still had not services the room. When I called the front desk they said they have until 5pm to service rooms, I thought that was ridiculous.

Water pressure was terrible! Floors were disgustingly dirty!! Josephine Estelle restaurant was tasteless and disappointing!!! By the way, I don’t complain much and the room was musty and humid! We won’t be back...

We have been overcharged hundreds of dollars on our credit card by. The hotel has refused to return calls after saying they would review our case. What a shame a class place is so poorly managed.

The rooftop pool and bar area beautiful and relaxing.

Best experience staying in NOLA so far. Staff amazing, room so comfortable and stylish. Loved it.

Room is beautiful but smelled a but musty. The water was off completely for a few hours at night. Toilets did not flush during this time. Hotel staff knows of this, blame city and does not warn guests.

Such a hip, friendly hotel. Great staff at the front desk and the bar and club in the hotel was amazing. Fun design elements throughout. The hidden gem is the heated rooftop pool and bar! It's also right on the St Charles trolley line, which gets you all over the city.

Bed was amazing and room was comfortable. Hotel close to everything, but far enough away to have a quiet, enjoyable stay when we wanted to relax.

Great hotel experience. I would have liked a night light in the bathroom. But would book with Ace again.

We had a great weekend staying at the Ace . It was a fun hotel , the rooms were clean and the roof top bar was amazing .

Our rooms weren’t ready until 2 hours after check in time. We were in town for a concert so it made us late.

Great staff, wonderful room, and the best hamburger ever

The Ace Hotel certainly lives up it's reputation of being for the ultra-cool. Despite not feeling hipster enough to stay here, I did appreciate the friendly, warm staff. On the negative, my room wasn't as ready as I would have liked it. I didn't have hand soap or body wash, both quickly remedied. The rooms are very masculine in design, very dark decor and lighting. It would have been helpful to have a bellhop take me up to my room to show the features. I didn't see until my last day that there was a pull for opening and closing the curtains.

It was a disappointing stay at the Ace Hotel. On our only night at the hotel, an hotel staff member entered our room without knocking. Her excuse for not knocking was that she didn't know the room was occupied nor provide any reasoning for entering the room. The hotel did try to compensate us with free dessert but her entering the room was a complete invasion of our privacy it just shocked us!!!! Also, the next morning, we called the front desk for extra towels and they said it will be brought to us right away. It took them almost 25 minutes to deliver them. Don't know why the delayed response but we decided to leave ASAP! We stayed at multiple Ace Hotels before but this Ace Hotel location was disappointing.

Great bed and wet bar; hallways need to be vacuumed.

We came into town actually for a Saints game and the usual 3 nights to find the best of foods and to see what's new in Nawlins.. The city and this property never fail. As neat and cool of a hotel as you have ever stayed in. Great lobby, bar and coffee bar area. We hung out more than we actually wanted as the city is always calling, expecially from this location. As good of restaurants as in any city actually in the world are walking distance from you. Besides the Superdome, The smoothie King center and numerous music halls and museums and parks.

Nice looking hotel. We got two rooms on the 4th floor. One of the rooms was dirty and had a not so pleasing smell. Notified the staff and we were moved to another room. They made us feel that they were doing us a favor by doing so. The other room also was dirty. One of the pillows had stains very disgusting. We will definitely not recommend the hotel to stay. We decided not to eat at the restaurant because Of our experience with the rooms.
