The room was filthy and falling apart. Seemed like it had not been cleaned surfaces were sticky and nasty. The restroom had red smudges on the door and wall. The fridge was so loud it woke us up several times. The staff was noce but not very helpful.

Staff was friendly and the location is convenient to get around to many places. Rooms are spacious but the carpet in the rooms and hotel common areas needs to be cleaned or replaced with tile/hardwood. Breakfast was good but they could use extra help restocking items. Overall it was a good stay.

Pay the little extra to stay elsewhere.

Pictures are not what our room looked like. Needs an update. Shower curtain too short so will flood bathroom if you dont watch it closely. Air either runs freezing or muggy. Toilet seat loose and flimsy. Water pressure in shower is INSANELY hard. It hurts your face. Hallway smelled like fish the entire time. Only gave two towels for 5 night stay and ran out one night when we needed more. Went to get toilet paper and the woman couldn't find any so they said theyd bring some to the room..never came and we were too tired to go back down so we ended up just using paper towels instead. I understand that the rooms are cheaper than others but not by much and it shouldnt compromise basic needs like toilet paper and towels and a shower cirtain.long enough to hang inside the tub. Flodding the floor is a hazard and unsafe. They sell shower curtains at the dollar store. You need to do better Sonesta. Being close to the convention center is the only plus for this hotel.

The staff was so warm and friendly! From check in to check out they made our stay a "Home away from home" experience. Special thanks to Mr Ken at the front desk for making our check in a pleasurable experience. Mr. Duane for his exceptional service at breakfast each morning. Mr Toy was also very helpful with helping us find our room at check in, with our luggage at check out and went above our expectations. Special thanks to Ms Detrail being very polite and attentive to our needs when we needed assistance. Thank you so much to the entire staff during our staff this experience has been the BEST ESSENCE EXPERIENCE EVER in over 20 plus years.
