Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The good: great location, street car stop is right in front of the hotel, lots of restaurants within walking distance, beautiful courtyards. Crisp, clean bedding and towels.
The bad: the floors in our room were NASTY. It was not raining when we were there, yet there were dirty, sticky shoe prints all over the floors. We stopped at a dollar store to get flip flops to wear in the room because it was so gross. When we turned on the lamp on the nightstand it was covered in something sticky. My son found weed inside of the Bible in the nightstand. The first day we came back from sightseeing and the beds had been made and we had our 3 dirty towels and wash cloths replaced with new ones. The second day we came back and our beds were not made, we had 2 new towels and 3 new washcloths. So my son had to use a hand towel to dry off after his shower. The breakfast was a limited selection, cold and not good. My boyfriend was cooking waffles and it was taking a very long time. The attendant was standing right at the waffle maker the entire time and never once offered to assist. Finally he had to figure out on his own that it wasn’t even turned on. And then once he got to the table with our waffles they tasted disgusting. A very sour flavor almost like it was batter mixed with vinegar.
I always filter my hotel searches to a rating of 8+ and Orbitz has never steered me wrong in the past. But this is far from an 8+ hotel.
