The hotel is clean and maintained. The pool is a definite plus. The bed was extremely comfortable. I felt slightly unsafe leaving the hotel at night unless I was catching a ride. The neighborhood is a little bit questionable after dark, but not completely unsafe. This is no fault of the hotel but it’s good to know when you plan your stay. We asked for a hairdryer. It was supposed to be in the room, but there was not one. I had to ask twice. We also asked for additional towels and washcloths. We had to ask for those three times. There must be a breakdown in communication between the front desk and housekeeping. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to New Orleans.

AC/Staff were wonderful. The pool and beds were clean. But that’s where it ends. Had to call multiple times for towel (they didn’t show up 2/3 times we called), the phone to the office in room 312 would only work about 20% of the time. When we checked in, the previous hotel patrons trash was in the fridge so we removed it and put it outside as I saw no trash can near our door. When we returned from dinner the bag was tied onto our door handle. So I brought it myself to the trash away from our room. The door seal has massive cracks that you could see sunlight shining through very clearly. The toilet needed to be flushed and held for multiple seconds to do anything at all, the fan in the bathroom was just for making noise and not functional. We found little black bugs climbing all over our toiletries near the sink and the mini fridge shelf was broke. Elevator was sketchy and was very rough when getting down to the ground level. All three luggage carts are all falling apart. It was a struggle to keep them together long enough to bring it through the property and use. I wouldn’t bring my family back here.

This is truly a hidden gem! It's a quaint resort, much bigger than we expected. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was amazing. Great location with the street car right out front.

Pro: comfortable beds. Nice courtyard. Streetcar stops in front of Maison St. Charles. Cons: bathroom wasn't cleaned even after we asked for it to be cleaned. Toothpaste gunk and other icky stuff left in sink from previous guest. Before the stay, I called Maison Charles twice to ask about "tub only" for bath. They didn't know if it was a shower or bath or if it had a shower head. The shower ended up being fine. It was too far from French Quarter. We ended up taking ride shares like Lyft, which added to the cost of the trip.

An excellent base location with the St. Charles trolley stop & route right out front. The property was well maintained & even had some outside kitties taking care of business! I found this property from a friend recommendation, & will definitely do the same & stay here myself again.

The room was not well cleaned. Was not set up to accommodate the 3 guests we made the reservation for. Staff was not quick to remedy our needs for bedding. Stayed 2 nights while out doing some steering came back to our room door unlatched and slightly ajar. Housekeeping had removed a couple towels but had not cleaned anything. Told to see manager next day when we arrived and manager was not there. Was also not there the day we checked out. Very disappointed and have requested a credit of some sort in consideration of reservation mix up and lack of ability to correct it timely.
