The staff were excellent. The property is conveniently located near the French Quarter and within walking distance of great restaurants, historical sites, and museums, and shopping. The hotel itself is a decent, quiet, and safe property, but it is a bit worn out and “tired.”

For the majority of our stay, everything was great. However, we only had about half a roll of toilet paper in our room and no extra rolls available in our room so we had to ask for that. The water in the hotel was shut off - due to city maintenance and there was no guarantee on when it would come back on. The only thing the hotel would do is let us cancel our reservation and we would have to rebook ourselves somewhere else. While the water being shut off isn’t their fault, it seems that we could have come up with a better solution than just this.

We got in the car this morning from the hotel valet bringing it to the front and we noticed that the gas tank was full (we did not fill it up) and there was an event ticket sitting in the cup holder which was an event at 8pm on 9/6. We dropped the car keys off yesterday afternoon around 2 at the hotel front desk and did not use the rest of the day. It had about 3/4 tank of gas in it when we left it with the hotel. To us it seems like someone used our car yesterday afternoon/night. Very suspicious with the gas filled up and the event ticket sitting in the cup holder. It is very concerning when you leave your vehicle and expect it to be safe and taken care of. That’s why I used the valet and didn’t try to find my own public parking.

The front desk staff is amazing! And that’s the end of my positive things to say. The lock on my door was broken. My toilet didn’t flush. My room was never cleaned until I asked for it on my last day. One day we lost water and I wasn’t able to shower after being outside in humidity all day.

Overall Stay

The check in process is very long and tiring! I called to confirm if early check in was allowed, it was stated that yes and rooms will become available between 12:30pm-1:30pm. We arrived at 1:40pm and there were no rooms available. We continued to wait for hours after asking several times if a room was available! Each time it was stated that they were waiting on housekeeping and give them 10 minutes. With each time of asking, those 10 minutes turned into 3 hours and 30 minutes. We did not get a room until an hour after check in time. We received our room at 5pm. We could not cancel our stay because it was nonrefundable! The room was clean; however, the bed is very uncomfortable and hard and the door cabinet to the refrigerator would not close because it’s damaged. Also, there’s an area in the ceiling that needs to be fixed by the elevator on the 6th floor I’ll never stay at this location again.
