Beautiful courtyard and location. Shower is attached to room without a door (important to know)

Pros: cute and well located. Cons: we didn't get room service 2 days in a row despite leaving the "service please" card on the door handle, and there was no storage space in the room (closets or drawers) which was unpractical.

the property was beautiful and the rooftop bar was eloquent.

The roof deck was amazing. Great location as well.

It a quaint hotel near the French quarter. A 20 minute walk into the center of it all, which isn’t too bad. I’d stay here again - cleanliness and the staff’s attention to those who chose to stay here are the main reasons I would stay here again!

Really cool decor. Minimal, yet well thought out. Convenient to trolley lines and main points of interest. Staff was friendly and courteous. I know it's a environment and staff saver, but you should at least come in every second or third day and give new towels and sheets and a basic cleaning without the guest asking. Vacation is for a little pampering. I get the eco-friendly vibe, but ya'll will get lots more roaches if you don't come in and pick the trash up from the rooms at least a few times a week.

Summary: Bare bones of what you need when you stay at a hotel. You stay here for a bed and shower. The layout is nice and has a cool design but isn't the cleanest. Loud. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Issues here lie in the rooms and room layout, not management and staff. Considerations: If you are on the first floor, bring earplugs. You are right by the front desk and bar. Rooms are tiny from what I saw as I passed by the side entrance (you can see into the rooms there if the shades are open from the outside). I recommend booking on the second/third. The building is split into two sections. The main building is loud. There is a bar on the third floor, so music is loud before closing. After closing, all was well. I recommend asking for a specific room, if you so choose to stay here, that's away from the main area. Room 27: Larger room. We got a great king size bed. Comfortable mattress. Clean sheets. Nice blanket and 4 nice pillows. 3 sets of large and small towels and extra toilet paper. The curtain was falling apart though. The shower has wood floors that should be repolished. Bring flip flops. No slippers even though the floor is concrete. We had a nice private balcony which I loved. Cleaning service isn't amazing. Visible dust and sometimes forgetful in changing the bed and bringing new amenities. Lots left to be desired. Wish there was a fridge. Bathroom door and private balcony door didn't close. Shades weren't working properly either. Good area.

Room was smaller than expected. Smelled musty, since shower is practically in the room next to the bed vs in a bathroom. House keeping only came once during our 4 night stay. Definitely a lot nicer looking in pics online vs in person.

This hotel is in a pretty good location but the rooms are really poor. The floor is not even carpeted or tiled - literally you are standing on the outside floor. The desk is tiny and the sink is near the bed (there is no separate bathroom). This might be fine if you're looking for that kind of "experience", but it's far from a luxury hotel.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, great common areas/bar Cons: Room was really cramped, AC unit has a really noisy water pump that goes off at random times and kept waking us up throughout the night. No soundproofing between rooms, one of the more noisier hotels I've stayed at.

Nice hotel with great staff and a nice bar attached. Lovely courtyard and great rooftop bar. Just b prepared for a very small room. Good location and close parking.

The air conditioner in our room leaked a large amount of water all over the floor. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to be disturbed. I am pretty sure the hotel staff was aware of it because there was a mop and bucket outside our room both time housekeeping came by

Room not cleaned. Staff do not change sheets daily. Had air conditioning equipment that had guts uncovered. Rugs not regularly cleaned in public spaces. Very noisy. Location was very good. Staff very nice.

I stayed at the Catahoula for a conference. The location is good close to other hotels & the french quarter, yet off the path enough to be an escape. The room was essentially one large room with a sink, separate toilet room, and separate shower stall inside. it also had a nice outdoor seating area/balcony, which provided both fresh air and privacy. the rooftop bar was spectacular and seem to draw a crowd of hip locals in addition to hotel guests. Apparently they're also getting a restaurant but that wasn't in service when I was there. The staff was friendly enough but not quite the professional customer service you'd expect at a larger chain. I asked for an iron at some point and was told that they were "all out. call back in the morning when housekeeping arrives." All in all a pretty cool hotel at a very reasonable price!

We were excited to stay at the Catahoula Hotel. The room was fine, but very small as we knew prior to visiting. We did not plan on spending much time in the room. The shower is separate from the bathroom, which was odd but worked out fine for our needs. We found the desk staff to have little interest in customer service. Very little information about the hotel was provided at check in. The rooms were cleaned and the bed was made each day. However, our bath mat was taken and never replaced. The last day our soap was thrown out by staff and not replaced. Not a horrible experience, but would choose a different hotel on my next visit to NOLA.

This is a beautifully remodeled boutique hotel. The coffee in the morning is great and the rooms are nice. The staff aren't very friendly but they're not mean either. It's a bit pricey but overall, it is a nice hotel in a great location.

It was cute hotel with friendly staff! I loved it!
