Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort

facility was marvelous with much more to offer than expected. Villa was amazing and could have easily been rented for three times what we paid. Hospitality and helpfulness of staff at check-in was great. You could tell that several of the clerks were in training, but even so, worked very hard to fill your every request. I will certainly return to this resort in the future.

Good off season price. Great location to access area restaurants. Beautiful grounds for walking and biking. Diverse accommodations for all guests needs from rooms , suites, condos apartments and 3 bedroom homes. All accommodations short walk to beach.

Close to beach. Rooms a bit small. Very clean. Staff was friendly. Restaurant at hotel rarely open. A bit pricey but overall satisfied.

Very friendly welcome. We arrived later than expected and loved getting to go to the pool, splash pad, jacuzzi, and lazy river until 10pm. Free DVDs. The facility on the beach was beautiful and clean, and the security guard was very friendly and charming. People hanging out there seemed very classy and happy. Good family place. Beautiful facility all around, walking along the balcony, through the restaurant, the outdoor patio with the giant stone fireplace and cooking grill, indoor pool, workout room, coffee place, lobby, fountains, many trails for bike riding, lovely trees... We'll be back!

Carpet was very old, bedding was stained. Room was very outdated.

short overnight stay. hotel is older, but overall is pretty nice, staff very nice. we stayed in seaside building, our room needs new beds, little more cleaning, especially blankets. Also, need to spray for roaches. really nice pool.

It was nice just had bed bugs in my room. They change my room with no problem.

The summerhouse building was old and dirty. Someone had sthrown up on the vending machine that was near our room and the common areas (hallways, elevator, parking lot) were dirty. The unit itself was clean.

We love staying here. Always clean & well kept up. Loved the movie rental option that comes with the hotel. Very relaxing place!

It is a nice hotel that is located off the main highway, but deep enough that you feel you are isolated from the noise and traffic. Although I did not use the pool facilities, they appeared very nice and had a gently flowing lazy river. A shuttle will take you from the pool area to the beach. There is a moderately-priced restaurant on the resort and the food was very good. There is another moderately-priced restaurant within an easy walk through the resort parking lot that also had very good food. A chain grocery store is directly across the highway from the resort. There are several nice golf courses within a 15 minute drive. I was in a one-bedroom/one bath room with a kitchen, dining room, and living room for a weekend vacation. The unit included a washer/dryer combo. It was roomy and at the back of the resort, so very quiet. My only suggestion is for the resort to include a complimentary small box of laundry soap in the rooms where the guest is required to wash the towels prior to check-out, or at least alert the incoming guests on their reservation confirmation that they are required to wash their towels. If I would have known of this situation prior to my arrival, I would have either brought my own soap, or brought my own bath towels. A complimentary small bottle of dish detergent would have also been nice to have in the kitchen.

Facilities were wonderful and I loved the location of the hotel. Was though disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. There was much dust and dirt and the room needed to updated terribly. Also no maid services throughout the stay except for fresh towels and garbage emptied. Restaurant on the premises had really good food but was terribly outdated.

After years of visiting the Pawley's Island/Myrtle Beach area, we decided to check out Litchfield. While we'd stopped in to grab Starbucks many times - we'd only seen the front desk and reception area which are impressive - as well as the manicured grounds and water features. But, if you look a little closer, you begin to see the cracked paint, exposed molding, trash and junk piled up in the breezeways and the moldy vomit in the stairway! The rooms were clean(ish) - the towels and sheets seemed clean, but the carpet was worn out and there was an inch of dust on the ceiling fan. Be forewarned! the maid service only replaces the towels and takes out the trash if you stay a couple of nights or more - no bed service! The restaurant was OK - but needs more choices and a little better service. The "TV" was nothing more than a small computer monitor. Don't expect much in that regard. The shuttle to the beach was nice - the private beach was very well kept and not as crowded as public beaches. Overall, passable, but the "resort' is a stretch... more like a couple of hotel buildings with a center clubhouse.

loved the hotel, one of the best I've stayed..would def go back

Very small room and not the cleanest. Very disappointed

The facilities were perfect for us. Although the room was a little outdated, it had everything we needed.

It was a beautiful resort with wonderful staff. The beach was gorgeous.

My daughter's foot was sliced open by bottom of indoor pool. Bathroom in room was not clean. Mattress was terrible. Resort looks nice but doesn't live up to looks.

Rather old motel .....small bathroom with an awkward room arrangement. Not up to the Litchfield standards.

Our room was small, but well equipped. These are more like an apartment than a hotel room; they have a small kitchen. The view was great and access to the beach was simple. We'll stay there again.

Some of the front desk personnel were unable to answer questions about the area (Alice's gravesite in All Saints) but others were most helpful in suggesting good neighborhood restaurants (Quigley's). The beach transport driver (Debbie) was very engaging, informative and helpful on the short ride in the golf cart to the beach! My family enjoyed the free movies during tropical storm "Hermine" with a good selection of drama, comedy and family movies. The pool area was usually clean although the "hot tubs" were not operational at all times. Webster's restaurant had a good wait staff and nice selection of food on the breakfast buffet. It is a great location on a main street although a confusing parking lot until you drive in/out a few times.
