Stayed here on a work trip. Had a terrible time booking room online and ended up with 2 reservations, which the desk clerk contacted mgr and got the problem resolved for me. This alone has me coming back as a repeat customer. No arguments , No fuss, they just got the problem fixed. As for the room we had, it was fine for what we needed. Bed slept good and linens were clean. The floors looked clean, but would make your bare feet black within a few minutes. Other than the floors, no other complaints. The facility looks well maintained and pool looked good. Free Wifi and breakfast.
My family and I were bitten by bedbugs during our recent vacation and was told that we were only getting a 10% refund because we were checking out anyway! We were...just not at 5:30 in the darn morning... My advice...spend a little money and go to the beach
Made our weekend beach trip so relaxing. The staff was friendly, the room was bigger than expected, clean facility. The beds were comfy, pillows fluffy, and loved the shower! The breakfast in the morning was a little cramped but overall good eats!
Shopping on the internet for a cheap motel. We stayed here for a week. They are presently renovating the rooms (and they are doing a good job). Sherry, the front desk clerk was very accommodating and ensured that we got a room on the first floor. Staff was great and rooms were clean. The pool is not heated and did need some attention.
One night stay. We will never go there again. First of all, these pics are nothing at all like the place really looks....not even similar. The free breakfast is near the front desk area..not even a decent continental. They do have a restaurant and should give you breakfast there for the price you will pay for the room. The free wifi is a joke. You get disconnected every five min. not even exaggerating. The toliet did not flush and the phone randomly rang all night but when we attempted to answer no one was there. The room also smelled horrible. The walls are paper think. I can literally hear the person in the next room snoring. Location is really good and the front desk person on second shift named Debbie was extremely nice but honestly nothing nice about the hotel. Do not waste your money on this dive.
We needed a cheap, pet friendly room for a few nights and this was the only one we could find. Bad idea. As soon as we got out of the car these two dogs that weren't on a leash ran and jumped all over us and we didn't even get an apology from anyone. When we got to our room everything seemed ok. The bed was tiny. I'm only 5'2" and my feet were hanging off the end of the bed. The bathroom was so incredibly tiny it would make anyone claustrophobic. When I showered the hot and cold knobs were in the opposite spot. More water was coming out of the tub faucet than the shower, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The mold really didn't surprise me because the house cleaning was awful. I brought my own pillow from home for the long car ride and they must have mixed it up with the hotel pillow and took my very expensive pillow case off of it to be washed. Safe to say I'll never see that again. They also replaced our smaller towels when they cleaned with ones that smelled like they had definitely already been used. You could also hear every car that came in and out of the parking lot all night, not to mention the obnoxious neighbors that partied for 2 days straight. Such a horrible experience here that I will never return or recommend to anybody. Ruined our vacation for sure.
I was going by the previous reviews when I booked this place online... don't make that mistake. This review is not personal towards the employees...they were very friendly and welcoming. The place was old and run down looking. It was very sketchy. (We wanted to leave as soon as we saw the room but didn't want to be confrontational, plus my cancelation time had passed and I'd of lost my money. We never left the room due to being afraid of someone breaking in.) The beds were very low to the ground, uncomfortable and old. The bathroom wasn't big enough to turn around in and the rugs were filthy. To get ice you had to go to the office and ask for it. The in-room fridge didn't work at all. I'll just chalk this up to a lesson learned and money wasted. I'll never stay there again and will not recommend this place to anyone...unless you're just looking for a "flop house". I would not recommend this place at all...but that's just my personal opinion.
When we arrived at the EconoLodge the elevator was not working. I STOOD THERE FOR THE 30 minutes while my wife was checking. WHEN SHE RETURNED SHE INFORMED ME THAT we were assigned a room on the 5th floor. We discussed that and decided that a 2nd floor room room because we could handle one flight of stairs. We went to inspect the room and we were disappointed. The toilet was full of paper. I flushed it. It overflowed. Water flooded the bathroom floor and ran out onto the carpet. We went back to the office and requested another room. The gave us one on the 6th floor. The 6fh floor room was much better than the second floor. We had a great view of the beach and the water. Breakfast the next morning. There was the traditional Waffle. However there was no eggs or meat. I inquired from the cook about this. "Do you have any meat?" "No!" was her response. "Are you out of meat and eggs?" "No, she replied."We ate the waffles and drank the 2% milk and departed the Econolodge never to return..
I always read reviews for lodging before I book them maybe mine will be helpful. I booked 2 king/non smoking rooms, rate was fair. The noise kept both rooms awake most of the night. Night 2 there was a naked man fondling himself with his curtain open, management asked him to close it but he reopened it. They were told about it and said the police would be called, didn't happen. There seemed to be a lot of guests hanging outside drinking and whatnot, I would have expected this in MB which is why I didn't want to stay in MB. We were woken by horns honking and motorcycles between 12 and 3am. The second and last morning I woke with flee bites on my ankles, confirmed flees because we saw them on our socks. We asked for communication from the manager and were ignored until we contacted corporate. I am looking to relocate to sc and will have many stays over the next several months but I will never stay there or recommend it to anyone.
Room was dated not clean. Music from next room so loud it vibrated walls. After 11 we complained, and soon after there very threats shouted several times. We requested refund but was told they did not know how to make refunds. There were ladies roaming parking lot and standing in open doors. Not a safe atmosphere. We moved to Sleep Inn.
