The hotel moto is “unlimited luxury” and that’s exactly what they offer: 24 hour room service, top shelf liquor, and excellent dining at no extra charge.

Did not like the food. Most of it was frozen an not cooked fresh. There was not a big selection of choices. Room service was terrible. They could never get my order right. And I have many severe food allergies. For a beautiful expensive resort like Secrets, food should be a high priority. The water an Beach were nice but full of jellyfish so I could not snorkel or swim. People were getting stung! I’m not a pool person. We hired a butler an that made things a little better. The excursions to Negril by Catamaran An Private Car to Ochio Rios for the day we’re excellent! Would I go back, probably not!

Great experience in Jamaica! Very great place to relax.

Hotel property is beautiful. The beach is a little rough due to the sand having a lot of rocks. Hotel staff was nice but don’t really see them too hosting events during the day or a waitress running around for drink orders on the beach or by the pool. Honestly, just felt like they were extremely understaffed. Check in took us alone 45 mins bc they only had 3 people working during check in time. The room was nice and big and spacious however a lot of things were broken like the light in the balcony the doors and close to there was water stains in the shower so wasn’t also the cleanest room was nice big and spacious however a lot of things were broken like the light on the balcony didn’t work, the doors in the bathroom didn’t fully close, and there were water stains in the shower so wasn’t the cleanest. The idea of romantic dinner on the beach is lovely however it is very overplayed as everybody does it and everybody is like 20 feet away from each other feels more of like a restaurant on the beach then a private romantic dinner. Night club was good DJ was great they also hosted beach parties in the evening that until midnight. Casino was small no real dealer tables there. The restaurants were OK nothing to die for. Piano bar was beautiful. Don’t expect high shelf liquor at ever bar only at selected few in the evening. Rather Would have stayed at breathless there sister resort.

Great hotel, friendly staff, we sat in a different spot every day because of the different beach/pool options. Only thing that wasn’t as good as expected was the food. Overall great trip though.

The food is horrible. The breakfast is the best meal here, but that is at far as it goes. We find ourselves going out for dinner most nights. The check in was a mess, we kept emailing them our reservation but for some reason they had a hard time finding it. We did not have the tablet for ordering room service, it took more than 10 phone calls, 24 hours, contacting Orbitz for us to get a tablet placed in the room. they did change our room. which we though was awesome until we got to the new room and realize that the toilet did not work. my husband spent our honeymoon fixing the hotel toilet. there is a constant mist or dampness on the floor, so you have to be careful or you will slip. the place is no way luxury.

Too many complaints to list. Just know that if you are looking for a luxury experience here, you will be disappointed in everything from service to cleanliness.

The hotel and property are incredible. The staff members are very efficient. The food is fine (we are not that picky). The major minus for the hotel is that the check-in process is far too long. Our flight was delayed and we were tired, aggravated, and eager to get the vacation started, but we felt we were stuck in a check in loop. The staff are very friendly and are only doing their job, but the process is exhausting. A heads up: after you check in, they will give your card to your concierge, *who will hold your room card and try to sell you on extra things*. They will try to get you to attend a breakfast or lunch where they want to pitch some service or membership to you. We were so tired, we said 'ok' to the lunch for the next day, but then, having time to read others' reviews on it, we decided not to go. We are glad we skipped it, given the other travelers' descriptions of the sales pitch being hours long. We paid too much and our time is too valuable. We have stayed at other Secrets in the past and we do NOT remember having to wait for a room key for this purpose. The other locations would host wine tasting parties, etc., to try and sell you, but now it seems they have made their approach more aggressive. TLDR: The hotel is great, the property is fantastic, but don't agree to anything extra. Check in with concierge sales pitch takes close to 1 hour, so ask for the fast track. Nonetheless, we would definitely return, just a little smarter and more assertive next time.

Liked the hotel and beach, but it was really busy and felt very touristy. The staff was not very friendly and often seemed annoyed when asked for something. All with the exception of the pool bartenders, they were great and fun.

We like the Secrets property overall, however our room wasn't cared for consistently over the 5 night stay. Sometimes we had a bath mat, or a rug by the sinks, or washcloths, or rugs by the bedside, or chocolates on our bed at turn down. Never all at once, which would have been perfect! Even the water wasn't always replaced in the refrigerator. The resort itself is beautiful and relaxing.

We went for a few days between Christmas and New Years to relax and get away. Had the best time. The resort was so nice, amazing beaches, great pools, delicious food, and very good liquor. Have been to a few other Secrets resorts and this one is the best one I've been to. Highly recommend.

Congenial staff, good food and plenty of activities to take part in throughout the day.

View was beautiful food was ehhh staff was great and very friendly

Excellent hotel of this class kept extremely clean upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. As for the hotel itself, from the kind , courteous and friendly staff to the meticulous comfortable rooms with very well equipped Mimi bar our experience was nothing less than exceptional

The bartenders at the Manatees swim-up bar were AWESOME!!! They truly made our vacation memorable. Kenrick, Dowaine, Marlando, Ryan, and Leo were funny, hospitable, and definitely know how to make a drink! :-) Our room was nice and the housekeeping staff was very attentive. Good food at all the restaurants. Everyone from the folks who work at the front desk to the drivers were very welcoming. Not our first trip to a Secrets resort and definitely won't be our last.

It was so fun the entertainment staff by the pool are fun and the bartender Leo is so fun and hilarious.

For a return visit, we were disappointed for how most corners were cut since when we first visited in 2011, when the resort was almost brand new. We were happy with the entertainment team for the most part, but there were some who rubbed it in they were not happy with their work or their co-workers, which is unprofessional for a customer to see/witness. The food was terrible. I recall it being high quality when we first visited. We've stayed at many Secrets and Dreams resorts, and the Oceana restaurant has always been high-quality. Yet, this time, it was just awful. We wanted to get up and leave half way through. My husband couldn't even cut through his steak. We'd each ordered the surf and turf, and it was cheap. Three popcorn shrimp with a tough, cheap cut of sirloin. Service is slow, the workers flat out refused on numerous occasions to bring drinks we'd requested. They ran out of Red Stripe at the Showtime, but couldn't swap out their keg for one at the nearby other restaurants or bars? One of the lifeguards tried to hit on me in front of the chair I shared with my husband poolside and asked me if he could buy my Fitbit Charger because his girlfriend wouldn't be coming from the States for another month. One of the Entertainment Team members said very loudly at the pool, "They don't pay me enough for this s**t," which leads me to believe many are unhappy with their jobs. One of the managers told my husband they are having a hard time getting food sourced in to the country.
