Clean resort. Old school charm. Friendly staff. Food just okay. Beach at sister resort better. Ocean views amazing. Vendors on site will bother you to buy their wares.

Many thanks to Toni-Ann the manager who quickly addressed my concerns and ensured that we had a great trip. The location is ideal to be able to experience the Hip Strip. The ocean view room allows for you to see the beautiful blue waters.

Loved the private beach part. Wish the food had more variety. Extended bar hours would be excellent upgrade

Great location, great view. Upon Check in no info was given about the facility. WiFi is the worst. Room wasn’t ready when I got there so asked to go grab a bite and when I got to the grill a male dining room staff was very rude to me, a couple nights later after the stage show a few guests including myself walked over to the bar to grab a drink and two make bar tenders was arguing so loud and up in each other’s face I thought a physical fight was about to start and it made me lost my appetite for having that drink before bed.

We just returned from Royal Decameron Montego Bay. Had an absolutely awesome time. The resort is beautiful, super clean (and I’m picky about that) and a perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Now if you’re looking for a huge resort with tons of restaurants and non-stop activities, this is not for you. It’s the smallest all inclusive we’ve been to and it’s our favorite. Not crowded, never had a problem getting beach chairs no matter what time we got to the beach. The water is crystal clear and there is a coral reef right off the beach so you can easily snorkel. You can borrow snorkels from the resort for free, but it is about a 3 to 5 minute walk down the beach to the sister hotel. If that bothers you, just bring your own. We probably will next time. Our experience was especially awesome because we were upgraded to the “penthouse” for free. It was up an extra flight of stairs, with a big living room between the two rooms and a huge deck overlooking the property. Have no idea why we got it, can only guess that nobody else had reserved it so they gave it to us because we had reserved 2 rooms (had our 15 and 20 year old daughters with us). It was amazing. Certainly not the norm for our family. But even if we hadn’t been in the suite, we would have still loved this resort. If you’re looking for budget friendly, low key, relaxing vacation with excellent service, would highly recommend!

This was not a 4 star hotel as advertised. A rating of 2 or 2.5 would in my opinion be better suited. The itself is not welcoming not is it well kept. The corners of the floors and base boards are dirty as if they have not been cleaned in years. The balcony chairs and table were cigarette burned and dirty from much use. We did not have a refrigerator and when we asked, we were told that our room (ocean view) did not come with one. The only rooms provided with that amenity were the garden view rooms. However, we were promised one on the morning of the second day and never received it. There were no ice machines so when had to go downstairs to the hotel bar to get ice. On the second day of our stay we were only given bath towels. When we asked for wash cloths and hand towels we were given a bath mat. The next morning we went to the desk and were given only the two wash cloths. The food was acceptable and the kitchen/dining room staff were pleasant and affable. The front desk staff were lacking in friendliness and professionalism. When we arrived we waited 20 minutes to be checked in and the person who checked us in was on the phone the entire time they were supposed to be assisting us. When we brought our bags in later that evening we were provided no assistance. We will not be staying at the Decameron ever again.

The water was messed up the entire time I was there, I would try to shower and the water would cut off after around 2-3 minutes and when we would flush the toilet the water was brown it was also coming out the sink brown. I asked for extra towels and was told “why don’t I use the one’s I had in my room”. Overall nice view but would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only thing nice about this hotel is the view. The ocean view was beautiful. The rooms needs to be upgraded. The pools were always closed for water treatment. The water that we use to shower , brush our teeth , and toilet water were pretty much out the four days we stayed there. Sometimes we were in the middle of showering and the water would cut off and that’s if we got lucky because some nights the water did not even work. I also have a video of how our water color looked ( it was a poopy brown color ) very disgusting!!! We used the same towels the whole four days we were there. The rooms are not so clean and need some deep cleaning. We bought an excursion and could not make it last minute and we were not able to get our money back. My sister went on the excursion and she seen that the driver was handed our refund money but instead of him giving it back to the hotel to give it to us he pocketed the money and just took off when he dropped them back off. We lost 110.00 that day and no one was able to do anything about it. When you are over there you are pretty much on your own. Some staff members were nice but this is not a hotel I would recommend for anyone to stay at. This hotel is horrible!

The property is a little outdated and we had issues with showers but other than that the stay was great. I know next time to book a room at Royal Decameron Cornwall instead.

The price was very good for the experience. The property was well maintained except for the boardwalk that leads to the shoreline. Some of the staff was very nice and helpful. There were a few female staff members who were not friendly but the management and the male bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is a great value and with a few staffing adjustments the experience would have been perfect.

Nightly entertainment was excellent/ Kevin and denisha was awesome love these guys Stacey In the cafe was excellent We did not like the fact that water pressure in the room kept dropping and temperature was erratic

When they fell the pool with bubbles...... Food needs some up dating

Everyone was good and the property needs to get some activities fro kids

Food was great. Staff was nice. Only negative is few bottled waters given and small cups. Its hot, we need alot of water!
