Royal Decameron Montego Beach - All Inclusive

Vacationers dream about sitting in a chair on the beach with their toes in the sand. I once wrote that this hotel had 2 chairs for every guest. Since they opened their new sister hotel on the same beach, you have to fight the other guests for a chair. The losers end up with no where to sit. So people go out at 7am to claim a spot. By 8am they are all taken. This hotel is saying, " we don't care about you....go away". So we will not be going back to Montego Bay.

Departing flight from Buffalo scheduled on the Itinerary #7201118502710 was to depart at 6:20AM left at 8:40AM, we were never notified, barely made Charlotte connection due to this late start, we were the last two passengers on board. When I booked the trip you upgraded us to an oceanview room, Royal Decameron had no such information, even after I showed it to them on the itinerary, disappointed all they had was a garden view room. This was our third time at this resort, never had a problem. Orbitz you dropped the ball on this vacation. Called customer service 2/3/2017, which turned out to be useless, on hold 27 of 30 minute call, and got no where. I believe we should receive some type of compensation, or that's the last time I'll book with Orbitz and I will share with everyone. You can reach me anytime 716/632/6249, James Jozens.

Fantastic employees that keep me coming back. The rooms are in a bit of disrepair and the food is nothing special. But the employees make this place feel like coming home.

Fun entertainment. Every night something different

My fiancé and I had the worst experience in this resort staff was unfriendly room and accommodations horrible no water pressure dirty rooms power failure all the time with blackouts extra fees for everything unsafe to stay would never come back here AGAIN!!!!

Overall I give the hotel 4 stars bc it was the nicest looking hotel but the staff was soooo nice. I went with my sister for a last minute weekend getaway and it was perfect. We only had Saturday to do excursions so they Referred us to a private car and we went to Dunns river. We could walk to all of the clubs we wanted to go to, we even hung out with the staff. It's a good place for young travelers, plus it's right on the beach! I loved it.

This was our third year coming to Montego Bay Royal Decameron. Overall, it was another successful trip. Much of the staff remembered us and greeted us with smiles, handshakes and/or hugs. The staff, from the front desk, restaurant, grounds, pool, bar and entertainment staff are great as ever. The things that were troublesome had to do with the new hotel built on the property. Those staying in the new hotel can use ALL the facilities on ground. We, on the other had can only use what's on our side. We can only use our pool and go to our shows. I can understand we can't go to the restaurants on that side, but there isn't and signs telling us to stay out, only security guards. I think ALL guests should be allowed to use all the pools and have the ability to see whatever show they want to. I'll have to rethink whether we return or find another place.

Hotel was comfortable. People enjoyed the food but I'm a picky eater so it was slim pickings for me. I would of prefer a few more Jamaican meal options besides 2 days a week. The local staff were great and welcoming Management did speak down to staff which was very unprofessional especially in front of guests. Location was good for walking and shopping Good night life also Very close to the airport Be prepared there is no microwave We had dinner outside the resort and my husband wanted to heat his left overs and there was no microwave available We had to ask the kitchen staff to heat it in the oven. Which they did and my husband was happy

Clean, nothing fancy. Room was very spacious and includes a separate dressing room. The food selection was better than expected. Every employee has a happy smile, very polite. The piers, beach, restaurants, bars, all very clean. Plenty of beach areas with lounge chairs. The water is very clear even after a heavy rain. Snorkeling the reef is excellent, plenty of colorful marine wildlife. There is a natural fish hatchery where you can swim with infinite amounts of minnows. Night time entertainment was a ton of fun for all ages. The staff interacted with the whole audience, making it more personable. During the day the plenty of beach activities.

The beach was the nicest part of the hotel, the staff were sloppily dress, cursed at every opportunity even in front of the guest, the food needed greater variety and the room especially the bathroom was old and has rust around the edges of the toilet, the shower curtain had no lining and the floor had black patches.

rooms need updating, but outdoor amenities and beach are very good.

Everyone was very pleasant. Would stay there again if we ever go back

The Royal Decameron exceeded my expectations. I went for my 30th birthday with my 3 girlfriends, the beach was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time! The entertainment was really fun, the food was great and we literally cried when it was time to leave. The staff made us feel at home and we will definitely be returning for a part 2!

We stayed here for 2 days after 4 nights in Negril. Check in was quick and efficient. Bar staff was attentive. Pool/beach entertainment was lively, but they did not pressure you to participate if you were not interested. We only ate at the buffet, but the quality of the food was good. It would probably get a little repititious is we stayed longer. Overall an excellent value. We would return here.

Had a great time at Royal Decameron. The resort is very safe and secure and is located near everything. Only 5 minutes from airport, nightlife, and shopping. My only complaint was the alcoholic drinks. No top shelf liquor and the mixed drinks are to sweet.

Great deal and Hotel.... Having to pay $20 per day for Wifi No Bueno or at least provide free wifi in the Lobby. Staff was amazing especially the front desk

We've made several trips to Jamaica, and this was our second stay at this resort.Of all the resorts we have stayed at this one has the best snorkeling by far directly from the resort beach. The sea life was just as interesting as what we saw when scuba diving from another resort on the same trip. The food is average compared to other resorts with a limited selection. The staff is extremely friendly. Tipping certainly enhances service significantly. The location is only 5 minutes from the airport and you have direct access to the Hip Strip for shopping. For overall value this property is hard to beat. We will definitely visit again.

It was a good time great people this was our 10 th time to stay at tha property

First time in Jamaica and we will probably come back. The hotel was in a very good location. The room was on the upper floor, ocean front. The all-inclusive package was really great. Plenty of food to chose from and unlimited drinks. Beer and cocktails all day, very good quality. Highly recommended!

Hotel is very nice all of the rooms have Oceanview they just bought a new section of property which is probably the nicest beach in Montego Bay
