Great place, excellent staff, but they can reduce the amount to times they call the room. They were calling the room twice a day to check how things were but at really bad times. The grounds were well kept and lots of activities, the resort it self is pretty nice.

Far exceeded expectations! Food was incredible staff was aMazing! Had basic room which was perfect for us!

This Hotel was on point. From the Reception staff especially Kavon, the floor coordinator Nadine the gym staff Jeffery and others. They were very welcoming and made sure your stay was enjoyable. The food, beach, activities and entertainment fantastic. Overall great place for vacation.

Had a great time. Will definitely go back. The staff, pool, beach excellent! The food is ok.. the jerk hut is good I ate there everyday.

My phone was stolen by one of the beach vendors (aka, drug dealers) walking the beach at night. The hotel staff first blamed the other guests, than they finally just said 'tough.' My phone had a credit card attached to it, which started making charges in a shanty town 20 miles inland the next morning. The resort did nothing to help me and I was stuck with paying the $150 insurance deductible and spending a morning of my vacation reporting the theft to my credit card company. Almost everyone in line when I checked out, had some extra charge to contest. I get that people forget that they may have ordered pay-per-view after a night of drinks, but twenty couples checking out all had the same problem. This place, like so many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Latin-America, are designed purely to separate you from your money by giving you the cheapest product possible. It is a typical Caribbean resort that caters to an international crowd, with typical int'l resort dining options, and overly sugary tropical drinks served in ugly plastic cups. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation look somewhere else; there is no party-pool, they are all party-pools. Between the idiotic water-aerobics and the non-stop 'jock-jams' remixes, it was very difficult to find a place that was quiet, or at the very least easily sociable. Fortunately, I was there with an extremely fun group of people who can make the best out of any situation...so we made the best of it.

We got upgraded to Royalton Blue Waters which is a brand-new resort (less than a year old). This resort and the White Sands are next to each and share the same amenities and this review would apply for both. The next day we were asked to meet with a vacation club rep (2 hours), which we did. We however declined their offer and got a gift basket (jerk sauce, rum & rum cake) along with 5 days of free stay with our next visit. A fair trade off for 2 hours of our time. The rest of the stay (7 nights) was great, here are some highlights: • Restaurants – we are vegans and chefs came out talked to us and cooked special awesome food. Chef Ricardo from Jade, Chef Dexter from Gourmet Marche and Chef Karl from Calypso did a phenomenal job. OPA had the most vegan options in the menu, but the quality of the food and service was the poorest. We did not visit the CX, Jerk Hut and Hunter Steakhouse (vegan!). • Fitness – the staff is the finest, Jeffrey, Caffin and other are good and would push you to the limits. We attended Bootcamp, TRX and Aquafit at least one per day and thoroughly enjoyed the workout. • Entertainment – there was something going on throughout the day. We won various gifts (5 rum bottles among other things) by participating in fun events throughout the day. In the evening, the shows were fabulous (circus, magic, reggae, rock …) and themed differently. • Amenities – only good things to say about the swim up bars, infinity pools, massive slides and lazy river.

Our stay was wonderful and Chad our butler was great!! The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. I would suggest to bring bug spray when you open your door the nats rush in your room. Other then that it was great. We will definitely be back!!

Terrible food bad customer service can't understand employees , weak wifi service

I fell in love with this hotel what makes it so special is the people that works in the resort. I traveled all over the Caribbean and have never seen such honest, nice, real people that care about you for real. Not fake not training. The rooms were comfortable but the cleanliness was disappointed.

We got married there in May 2016 and it was absolutely wonderful. All of us and our guests had a great time. Since then we have been back two more times and each time it just got worse and worse. They built a new resort next door the Royalton Blue Waters and I guess they just dont care about this resort anymore. The staff could not do their jobs because they were not given the resources to do so. It was an absolute disaster. It took forever to get food from anywhere except of course the buffet, which was not that great this time either. It was extremely disappointing considering we looked forward to coming again and seeing friends we had made there and wanting to spend our first anniversary there. Needless to say we will not ever be going back to this resort and its a real shame.

Staff where great rooms where small and needed updating. Lobby, on site restaurants and pool area awesome o

Great place to vacation with friends and family. The food was great, awesome pool and beach!!

If they give you a corner room ask for a different room. It is really small and the bathroom smells like sewer.

We loved the staff and the kids loved the play areas and the kids club. Food was alright. Zen by far was the best restaurant. There was construction close to the hotel and the beach so that was a bit annoying but other than that everything was great. Do wish they offered the round trip shuttle from the airport to the hotel. All in all great hotel, great experience and would recommend it.

I stayed in Negril at Sunset at the Palm and did not like it at all. I checked out early and booked my stay here and it was the best decision I made on my trip. The pool is large and amazing. The bartender Remon is so welcoming! He remember both my partner and my name throughout the whole trip. I highly recommend this resort.

If you are traveling with children under 10 this is the perfect hotel for you it's designed specifically for kids . We ate in the steakhouse it took an hour and 45 minutes to get our meal and when it came it was inedible. Morale of the staff was very low most of them didn't seem like they wanted to work there and didn't really go out of their way whatsoever. If you go to their sports bar make sure you put plenty of mosquito spray on it's kind of dark in there And the mosquitoes love it around their bench seating four of us all ended up with mosquito bites all over our legs by the time we left. That's a huge concern because because Jamaica has the Zika virus When we complained to the staff about it they were well aware and told us it's best to sit outside. The other great experience there is when you come out of the elevators they have people stationed there that are trying to sell you timeshares and don't really take no for an answer after the third day of being hassled I had to threaten the guy that I was going to management if he spoke to me again. The beach is very nice it's all Sandy but they do not have enough chairs or umbrellas for their guest so you must get there early if you want an umbrella or chair. I have stayed in over two dozen hotels on this island and there is no way this can be rated a five star hotel please look elsewhere for the price it's a rip off unless you're taking children.

Best hotel ever!!! Will defintely be staying there when I go to Jamaica again..

This was our second stay at the Royalton, The second time we came back with 15 other people for a family vacation because we had recommended the resort. We LOVED the staff, food, beach and amenities the first time. The second time around we opted for the diamond package- this made our experience no different although we had paid more- our butler was always MIA and did none of the things we were hoping for (getting our crib in the room, booking our reservations at the restaurant or bringing room service food, . It was faster just to go down to the buffet. Butler was VERY nice but not very proactive. Still a great stay! Love the food, would like to have seen more traditional Jamaican dishes in the buffet (only had oxtail, ackee n saltfish once for the week!) :( but the food, chefs and spa were still amazing!! Also we attended the time sharing presentation the first time and was given a voucher for free accomodation: when we looked into booking with it the 2nd time a around, it was going to cost us a little more than if we didn't use the voucher! DONT GO TO THE PRESENTATION unless you want a free massage (massage was great tho)

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff was especially courteous.

We had a good time at the resort. First day was rough..took over 4 hours to get our room and then our carry on was lost but found a few hours later. Nice property, nice diamond club beach, nice adult pool with lots of activities. Food was good, just not alot of restaurants. We had a suite for our room that was very nice. Overall i was pleased with our trip.
