I recently stayed at the Hyatt, and overall it was an amazing experience that truly felt worth every dollar. The kids club was wonderful—although I didn’t personally use it, my friend did and her kids were safe, happy, and well taken care of. Special thanks to Sophia, who did a fantastic job with the children. At the front desk, the service was good across the board, but Gabriel really stood out. Her attention to detail and genuine care made my stay so much more enjoyable—I honestly wanted to tip her personally for how much she went above and beyond. Tjay deserves recognition as well. He arranged the best driver for us, ensuring we had a safe trip, and even added special touches to make my candlelight dinner with my daughter unforgettable. His thoughtfulness and information truly made the night magical. Entertainment was top-notch too—Rohan kept the energy alive with music, interacted with the crowd, and even played a special request for my daughter. That really meant a lot. The food was solid—about an 8/10, which is very good for resort dining. Lots of choices, and generally on the higher end for resort quality. I did have one small hiccup with my room, but Paul, the manager, immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to fix it, even after I told him not to worry. That kind of service is rare and truly appreciated. All in all, the staff here are incredible across the board—caring, professional, and dedicated to making guests feel at home. Thank you, Hyatt,

This property was beautiful, but otherwise the experience was hit or miss at best. There were some who were very courteous and happy to make the trip special like the water sports employees and some of the cook to order chefs in the buffet 'Choicez". Most employees were neutral and still others seemed inconvenienced to assist. Many frowns and curt tones despite Thank You Sir or Ma'am or Please being given by my family I was traveling with. For food before booking I called and advised of food allergies including 3 of 5 people having to eat gluten free and the representation was the ability to handle gluten allergy restriction but only one restaurant proved able to do so otherwise we had to eat in the cafeteria which was limited as well. The Butlers assigned to our room never made contact and were otherwise absent. Refilling the mini bar was nonexistent as well. The room cleaning was minimal for the Fifth floor but good in the other room on the second floor. We also were lied to about time for "welcome package" sales pitch and it was admitted that the time it would require was a lie by a member of the olaya club staff when confronted. Not a good way to do business. No apology for lying was given. Overall this was not worth the price point and beauty didn't make up for the other parts of the experience. We have enjoyed other Hyatt owned properties like the AMR collection but won't visit a Hyatt Ziva or other property like this in the near future.

I had an absolute amazing experience at this resort. The food was wonderful with so many options. The indian station at the buffet was exceptional. The staff was so kind and friendly and pleasant, a special shout out to Petrina at the French restaurant, our servers Chetaya and Tamara, and Olivia at concierge. They have a heart of gold. The housekeeping staff are the undercover heroes who took care of the rooms so well. The resort is beautiful, both the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara sides. The golf carts to take you from place to place which was so helpful for my mother with bad knees and ankles. Everything was truly wonderful and I would highly recommend!

I recently had a 5 day, 4 night stay. I stayed there with my wife, son and mother in law. We stayed in 1 club room 5th floor, double beds with a terrace. The room was nice. Bed mattress was okay. I felt could have been better. The terrace and the view, loved it. The bathroom had some room. Multiple family members were able to use it at one time. As far as restaurants, you have to make an appointment except for the buffett which is at Choicez. The day we arrived, around 2-3pm, there were no dinner appointments left. Some reservations need to set aside for those that arrive on day off. I felt a bit cheated. We only had opportunity to eat at 2 restaurants in 4 nights. I was not happy with that. The entertainment is "family " friendly on Ziva side, the side I was staying on. Zilara is the adult side. I was told we had access to that side as an adult but didn't take advantage of it. Maybe next time. All in all we had a great trip!

We enjoyed our stay! Our room wasn’t ready at 3:00 pm as promised, so they upgraded the room and gave us a $50.00 resort credit. Other than a private check in and access to the premium bar , I didn’t really see the advantage of booking a club room. There were plenty of food options, but it was very hard to get a reservation. I recommend that you book all dinner reservations as soon as you arrive. The Italian restaurant was our favorite, but the Jerk Hut was pretty delicious. The locations of three separate outdoor bars was convenient as well. The pools were extremely clean and clear and we had no problem securing beach or pool lounge chairs. The beach was also extremely clean and private. We chose to do excursions but we booked them ourselves through trip sites because the cost to book through the hotel was double the price. The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive to our requests. On the day before we left, we did see a small patch in our bathroom despite it being clean. I mentioned it upon checkout and recommended that they exterminate just in case this was a much bigger issue that we just didn’t notice. They gave us an additional $50.00 credit ( I didn’t ask for it but I feel that they should have considered comping one night of the stay). Overall, we were grateful for the experience and would definitely return!

Fun times at Hyatt Ziva

We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Ziva. Spacious room with all the added amenities and comfort -mini fridge with ample selection, robe, slippers, eco dental kits, shower caps, etc. The food options were great, the food was tasty and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. It’s a large property and even though I don’t mind walking the distance, it was challenging for a family member to get from the lobby to Building 3, and to the various restaurants. Also, our room had a musty odor but we spent most of our time outdoors so this was not really an issue until we returned. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and will return.

The resort has beautiful grounds, well-kept pools, and a small but charming beach with plenty of lounge chairs. Breakfast was solid, and cocktails were consistently well-made. However, our room in Building 2 felt dated, and pillows were lacking. Service could be slow, with unanswered calls to the front desk and long waits for basics like towels. There was also a faint musty smell in the hallways, which took away from the otherwise clean appearance. Dinner at the buffet was inconsistent, and the evening staff often seemed disengaged, making the meal experience feel rushed. Overall, a pleasant place for sunshine and relaxation, but the service and upkeep leave room for improvement.

This was our 4th Caribbean island experience and our first Hyatt stay. We were very excited. Unfortunately it left much to be desired as the hotel is old, dated and not very clean. Worst of all the AC in our room was not working properly. After the second time they “fixed it” (they had to fix the ceiling fan too) I asked for a room change. They said they would have to downgrade me to the old building and two beds (we booked the junior sweet with a king and a sofa bed). The old building (no 2 I think) is creepy old so I knew that was not an option, not to mention the attitude from front desk about it. So our 6 day stay turned into 5 hot nights and overall annoyance. The staff is definitely nicer than other Caribbean destinations but overall I would not return or recommend this resort to traveling families. One good quality was the night entertainment. Also the staff at the Kids Club were very friendly and approachable. Overall not impressed with Hyatt and would recommend Zoetry instead.
