I have stayed at the Hyatt properties numerous times in different countries and they have never disappointed me. The staff at all properties are amazing helpful friendly courteous. The food at Hyatt Jamaica is great no complaints at all they have a good variety to choose from. Don't drink alcohol but I've heard they drinks are great also.

Property appears in poor/dated condition. There is strong odor in hallways. Also, we paid for a suite with an ocean view but got one with a view of the Choisez restaurant. I brought this to the attention of Reception and they offered another room that had the view to the ocean completely blocked off by a palm tree. We felt cheated in that we did not receive the upgrade for which we had been charged a fee.

My room smelled of mold. The entertainment during the day was very boring. I will say the food was delicious, we really enjoyed the jerk chicken. The employees were amazing, very friendly and very welcoming. Shout out to Elvis for his service.

A couple of things; there were no fresh lime and lemon for drinks and food and it is puzzling to us why this resort can’t offer fresh lime/lemon. Another suggestion is please have a business suite with divided rooms for individuals for online meetings. Overall amazing!

We landed at MBJ airport. We didn’t book transportation prior but that wasn’t a problem. We took the authorized taxis to Hyatt Ziva for $35 (it was 2 adults two children). We got to the hotel and they gave us our room right away. Our room was clean and there was no smell which I was worried about reading reviews. We traveled with a 2 year old and a 6 month old so we stuck to eating at the Choicez Buffet for basically every meal and we have no regrets. The food was not bad at all. I generally don’t eat meat outside so I stuck to fish and the salmon was delicious. There were lots of options and the options changed every night. The buffet was convenient for our schedule bc we didn’t need to make reservations like the other restaurants. We were there from Tuesday - Friday. The pool area was generally empty. We found seats by the pool easily everyday. It was SO family friendly. Everyone was with their kids and babies. Everyone had floaties and strollers around the property which was nice. The beach was very small but enough for us with the kids. It’s not where an adult would really want to swim bc it’s enclosed and super calm. Overall, we read lots of mixed reviews so we were unsure of our expectations but it definitely exceeded my expectations. everyone was friendly. The food selection was good. The place was clean. That’s all that really mattered for us and we were very pleased. I would recommend.

The property was beautiful, the staff were wonderful. My room was clean and updated. The hotel provided top shelf liquor. We ate at local restaurants and had breakfast at the resort. The food at the resort was okay but not great. Will be coming back in the future.

The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The staff were extremely nice and attentive. Never encountered someone who looked unhappy that worked there. The rooms are a little dated but very clean. Halls were quiet outside the rooms. Definitely need to ask questions about your room selection and area you are being placed in. Food was good but need to learn ways to control flies around food and food being exposed at outside venues.

Staff was amazing …always went above and beyond! Food was delicious…and great options available at the buffet! Property not very family oriented. The beach is very small which was disappointing! I tried to walk to the adjoining beach also owned by Hyatt with my 15 and 16 year old and was told we could not be there because it was adult only…it didn’t make sense…it wasn’t a nude beach and the beach for family was so small! The restaurant availability was also disappointing if you travel with family! I understand if I had toddlers or small children but 15 and 16 year olds know how to behave …the entertainment at this place was also not good! Some days they even canceled the entertainment because they were using their staff for another private event …that was disappointing as well. I would not go to this place with teens! This is more of a couples focused hotel…although the one we rented said family! The staff however were amazing!
