3.5 out of 5.0

Very nice accommodations. Food was good. Pools were good. Reservations for restaurants and tours were easily made.

Nice beach. Pool area very crowded. Limited restaurant choices. Rooms maybe renovated not long time ago , bathrooms however are in a very bad condition!!! Elevators out of order many times. Scary to use them . Resort do not supply bottled water!!! You have to request a mini refrigerator for your room! Air conditioner extremely loud!!!Food was ok. Liqueurs very cheap and mixed with water.Entire resort is a smoke free which I liked. Cleaning people do lousy job! Floors are dirty!!! If you like luxury this is definitely not a place where you want to stay.Would not recommend this place!

The HHIR was overall very good. It is on the low-moderate end of area all-inclusive hotels and it's a good pick for a first time family. The food was very good and there were lots of options (The Jerk Hut was always a hit and both the Jamaican/Italian restaurants were excellent). The nightly entertainment was lively and varied, as well. Television tuned to US stations (Miami) and also had many news outlets from around the world. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. *Ask to stay in a building further from the action (we did; 5 or 6, if traveling with children) and it was quiet. One area that could be improved was the comfort of the room. It was very clean (and our housekeeper, Paulina, did an amazing job), but the beds were very firm and the building was dated. As far as activities, this is not the resort if you're looking to explore the beach and/or do water sports. Though advertised, this hotel is on a protected reef so full access to the beach (though beautiful) is limited. Overall, my family and I had a good time. I'm likely more "upscale" and when I visited the nearby Hilton, preferred the ambiance and overall decor there.

The bathrooms were nasty. The other restaurants were great but you must book before coming to the hotel.

Front desk staff was rude an arrogant and not accommodating. I didn't get what I paid for....very disappointing experience an I will never stay there again

Nice hotel but it is more made for families great food . Just in general great hotel for a family stay .

Great place especially for the price. Good food and drinks.

Very satisfied, everyone was helpful made our stay a very pleasant experience .

The resort staff were less than efficient or concerned about guest comfort. Our room wasn't cleaned until 4:00 or later. There were frequently 15-20 people in line at the pool bar, with only one bartender on duty. Soda and water were self serve but the rack that held glasses was continually empty. We had water dripping from the ceiling in our room, we were moved when we insisted but offered no upgrades or compensation for the inconvenience. The manager stated that we should have kept the AC set at a lower temperature, we caused the water drippage. There were no signs or warning about where to set the AC, we kept it at where it was when we got there. There were positives: the reservation only restaurants were very good. The pool area was clean and well set up. The resort is close to the airport. The excursion staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

... but adequate is not a word that you want to come to mind when you think of your vacation. The property is right on the beach, and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and nice. Those are the pros. The cons? Everything else. The food was awful - the buffet was bland and didn't have much variety. The pool grill served frozen school-cafeteria-style cheeseburgers and grilled cheese. Funny thing is, that was the best tasting food on the property so that's what we ate most often! The pool could be nice, but it never got deeper than 3.5 feet. There was entertainment at a stage by the pool - this was hit or miss usually, but if you have school-aged children they'll probably love it. All in all I really wish I had booked somewhere (anywhere) else.

One of my best experince ever. We enjoyed our stay at the resort.

My wife and kids really enjoyed it. Will definitely return.

We love visiting! We will come again to take the kids to the beach!

This was my 3rd time staying. The hotel is a nice getaway and kid friendly. Food was good but would've liked to have a little more variety on the breakfast. We were disappointed that there was no Jamaican beef patties available(maybe work out a deal with Tastees patties). Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was tight-style of door. Had a good view of the stage(minus two tree branches)so I could watch the shows at night

No hot water for 4 days in shower. CALLED and went to front desk and we were told they'd move us the following day. It never happened. I asked for a manager to get a hold of me. DIDN'T happen til the night prior to us checking out. Our room was filthy. Looked as though someone went to the beach and attempted to bring it back to the room. Muddy footprints on floor. DIRTY bath tub. We then called and visited front desk. They assured me again a maid would come clean it. (730pm) by 10pm no maid! MY husband then went and tracked one down himself.

Pleasantly surprised at the facility, very clean and staff very helpful. We were there for a short stay and did not experience much of Montego Bay outside the resort

Unorganized late check in. No immediate follow up with lodging problems. This hotel has declined with service. It seems as though they overbook rooms and cannot handle the large volume of customer. Guest should not wait for 6 hours to check in and lose valuable time on vacation. The hotel needs to hire more front desk staff

Overall great experience. Good food and nice entertainment at night.
