I thought it was very clean and updated the customer service was great although they could not find my reservations it wasn’t under Orbitz it was under sun, something but they did end up finding it after 25 minutes but it wasn’t their fault. Overall Was very nice
The lobby was beautiful. Fun, funky vibe. Our room was clean for the most part. Flooring was pulling up in some spots. Hair left in tub. The pool area was unpleasant. Dirty water and the building/entire outside area was shabby. Garbage trucks bang in the alley next to hotel. Not very relaxing. Our first night, I went to the bar. Was ignored. The bar was covered in boxes, towels. Unclear where or if you could sit at the bar. Incredibly awkward. I asked for the "free" signature drink--was eventually given a gin and tonic in a plastic cup. We tried to have dinner our first night by the pool. After we sat, it took 30 minutes for someone to wait on us. No service. We ended up leaving and going for dinner somewhere else. Staff was dismissive. Some front desk staff more pleasant than others. Room service never came when we placed an order. After an hour called downstairs..was told it was on the way up. I cancelled the order. Was charged extra to use beach chairs and umbrellas. Would have been nice to not be nickle and dimed for this service. Beach is a close walk. The last morning, upon check out the man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Everyday we complained the Air condition was Either too cold or the room too hot. Found out there were other people with the same problem.

The restaurante at the Hotel is horrible, they have only one person working all the time, she need to take order from the table, serve the Custumers and prepare drinks to everyone. Breakfast was the best so far. I’ll never go back.
Pleasantly surprised. Excellent value/rate at $100/night during off-season. Bed was super-comfortable, good rain shower head, good a/c and wifi. Pool area and design very attractive and stylish.

The heat wasn’t working first 2 nights of stay and bath tub kept clogging up. Staff was nice and hotel was boutique style nice decor

No cable tv! Only local channels and Spanish! Noisy staff early in am. Noisy!
In general is good with some of the problems of an old building.
