The hotel was nice and was within walking distance to a shopping area. There were a variety of dining options and little vendors within the hotel and at other nearby properties (all within walking distance) that served coffee and things in the morning. Things were a little expensive though so be prepared to pay. There's shuttle service to other properties or to shopping centers so you don't have to drive. People were generally nice and welcoming, and it was safe. Although the hotel was nice, it could use some new carpet.

We loved the central Kaanapali Beach location and The Weston's pool and beach amenities.

My original room was a mountain view room. Carpet needs more cleaning. Love the bathroom and shower. Got upgraded to an ocean view room but was very disappointed with the room. Looks old and tired. The bath tissue holder is falling. The carpet is old and need more cleaning. The shower/tub is old and looks like a 2-3 star hotel. The bed is not comfortable. I've stayed in lower star hotels with more comfortable beds. But a Westin hotel - really disappointing. Can't beat the location and amenities thought specially the spa.

We are a couple with 2 little kids and had reserved a room with 2 beds. We also called and requested two beds and were told this would be available. At the time of checkin I was informed that I would only get a king bed. When I said i had requested 2 beds, , I was rudely reminded that: 1. "Beds are not guaranteed, you booked on Expedia, didn't they tell you that!!!" I told the person at the front desk, " Seriously you expect someone from Expedia to call me and tell me that," She replied 2. "Its also on our website you should read that" I replied , "I had called and I was told we would be given 2 queen beds,"at which the front desk tried to belittle me and retorted 3. " We don't have queen beds in this facility", " Who told you that, Did you take a name??"( I mistakenly said Queen instead of full) 4."this is a busy time of the year, we cannot guarantee beds" after i was checked into a room ,the balcony overlooked the top of an unfinished terrace, I called the front desk and said,I didn't get a mountain view as I had reserved 5. " You should be able to see the mountain from the corner" ...all this after we flew over 12 hrs to get to Hawaii, tired, exhausted, paying handsomely for the vacation Marriott did well to acquire Starwood but didn't train the front desk about Courtesy. Very Disappointed. PS: they did change my room the next day and gave us 2 full beds with a great mountain view.

The hotel is beautiful. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Housecleaning does a wonderful job. I loved it! The parking was limited.

It was wonderful! Maui is truly paradise. All the people were so kind and happy. My husband and I would love to go back and bring our children and grandchildren.

The hotel had beautiful grounds and setting. The beach was awesome. The problem with this hotel is that the rooms are super small. We had reservations for 4 people for 7 nights and the beds were double beds and super small. At over 400 dollars a night you would think that you would get something larger then a double bed for two adults to sleep in. The hotel staff was also very callous and not accommodating at all. They sold us an expensive breakfast package and then sold us excursions that made it impossible to use the breakfast package and they would not accommodate us. One morning they allowed us to get two bagels and two coffees in place of our 60 dollar breakfast package. Everything at this hotel is extra. You have to rent beach chairs at $25 a day. You have to rent water toys. Parking was usually completely full and very difficult to find a spot. Next time I will rent a house or condo for half the price ad twice the space.

Awesome experience! Best honeymoon destination. Great service. Beautiful room. Radical water slide! I have a gorgeous wife!

Staff was friendly and helpful. TV in our room had terrible reception and was glitching constantly. Took three days for mgmt to fix the issue. We checked out on the 4th day so it was a frustrating experience at best. The hotel room and facilities are showing their age and the beds were too soft. Again, for the price we paid we expected more. Overall it was an average stay but I am sure other hotels offer more for the same price or less.

The location of the Westin is perfect. The hotel was more than comfortable and beautiful inside and out. It was extremely comfortable. The lanais to sit out on and look at the ocean were excellent. Extremely comfortable bed. The rooms were great!

Love the place......right next to the beach.....n love the pools........breakfast is definitely over priced.........the check in girl noticed that I was a SPG......n up graded me to a partial ocean view...........thank you for that..........

Could not have been more lovely. We loved the hotel and its location to the beach and many the many options to meals. We can't wait to return!

The hotel was very beautiful. The location of the hotel was fair, although the beach was not the cleanest. Not a whole lot to do near the hotel, most things were driving distance. Hotel staff was ok, they did not go out of their way to make the stay the best. When asked staff for assistance it took a while for the assistance. Wifi was slow. The room was either freezing cold or very hot . Overall the stay was fine, nothing over the top.

Plus: Location, location, location... beautiful beach, nice amenities, the catamaran sailing right from the hotel is great Cons: - All exclusive, 25$ per day for a sunbed on the beach and 30$ for a breakfast on top of 350+ for a room plus extra resort fee. Wanna have a beer (1$ kind like Corona) ? It can get delivered to your room for ~8-10$ per bottle (if you take a pack and count in the delivery fee, the tax and the base price of 6$ per bottle) - Too crowded - the territory is small for the hotel consisting of two 11 floor buildings

nice hotel with island feel

The hotel was nice and was within walking distance to a shopping area. There were a variety of dining options and little vendors within the hotel and at other nearby properties (all within walking distance) that served coffee and things in the morning. Things were a little expensive though so be prepared to pay. There's shuttle service to other properties or to shopping centers so you don't have to drive. People were generally nice and welcoming, and it was safe. Although the hotel was nice, it could use some new carpet.

checkin was a disaster, rest was great
