The room was spacious and clean. Our view wasn't the best (overlooking the parking lot), but we still could see the mountain. The bed was not that comfortable, I kept on sinking down while sleeping. The tile was cracked in our room. There was loud construction noise every morning near our room, so that was annoying when you'll trying to sleep in. The pool area was nice though.

There is NO beach at this property. It is also impossible to walk either North or South for any distance on the beach without cutting through or going around (by street) other properties. Hurricanes in the 80's claimed what beach this property had. One cannot safely swim in the ocean from this property. We drove to a park South of the property & walked the beach from there to Black Rock & beyond. Property is directly across the street from Snorkel Bob's, grocery store, & other shopping. ABC store, fish market & farmer's market are also within walking distance. Restaurant food was good although happy hour nachos use "cheese sauce" like what you see at movie theaters rather than real cheese which is a bit odd. The entertainment was excellent: one night was a hula show another was a singer/guitarist in the restaurant. There are 2 hot tubs and 2 pools. We could see whales from our lanai & from the pool deck. Yoga class is offered MWF mornings. Lei making and hula classes are also offered. Carpet in the room felt weird, almost sticky like old Tupperware, one lampshade had holes in it, the ice dispenser jammed regularly and dumped ice all over the floor, appliances all had minor issues otherwise the room was fine. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. The parking ticket machine was broken for the first few days & I never did understand why we were required to take a ticket even though we had a parking pass taped to the windshield. Not recommended for those who love to walk beach.

Beautiful grounds, Amazing views from the balconies. Usually you get offered a garden view room or a pool view or an ocean view we got all three!!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Really nice 1 bedroom condo with a great view to watch the pool and garden. Easy access to our room from parking and great staff taking care of you. Really enjoyed ourselves.

This Hotel offers beautiful grounds and very clean and comfortable rooms. We had a wonderful "garden view which also had a view of the ocean. Wonderful vegetation, waterfall, and other water features. Two pools and hot tubs, one for the adults only. We had a one bedroom suite with full kitchen. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is also a very nice restaurant open for all three meals and reasonably priced for the area. We loved it and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was great and worked for our vacation. The reason that I couldn't rate the facilities higher is due to the beach erosion. We expected to have a nice beach for our kids to play based on the photos. We were disappointed to find it almost completely gone and very close to the hotel wall.

If you're from outside the 808, this hotel is more in keeping with island life than a huge mega box hotel. This hotel has simple yet pleasing grounds, ample lounge chairs, an adult centric pool, and a nice clean, fun family pool. It has one restaurant and the food is again, simple and good. It's close to great golf, is right on the beach, has a check out booth for all beach fun stuff including great towels. There's shuffle board, which whether you play by the rules or make up your own..fun. The room is great, clean and the bed is cozy. It would be nice if the bar was open past nine but, again, there's a store right across the street and you can easily get your own evening beverage bling. Inside the 808, this is a cozy get away that allows you to enjoy why you live in Hawai'i.

When I booked it, I did read reviews of how dated this hotel was and unfortunately it was all true. When we originally checked into our room, we were not happy at ALL. We didn't know we would be facing a parking lot not to mention that the room we stayed in was cold, dreary and very dated. We definitely didn't feel like we were in Hawaii. This was such a disappointment that my husband and I decided to change rooms. Definitely not what was pictured when I booked it. When we requested to change, you would have thought that maybe it would be an even exchange to change rooms but we ended up paying $200 extra. Very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the location was great, close to everything but to be honest, this hotel is really dated. The hotel is well maintained, clean and the staff is ok but we were not impressed at all. Also be aware that there may be times where the beach is gone....yes gone!

We were just staying overnight after a wedding in the area so didn't have much time to enjoy the accommodations beyond our studio room. The property seemed well maintained. I was surprised to find additional charges added to our bill at check-out. I don't recall seeing anything mentioned when I made and paid for the reservation through Orbitz, but I do see on the receipt that it was a "deposit". In any case, it was a brief but nice stay. I would consider staying a this property again. Sincerely, Ronald Kobata

We've stayed here twice before and enjoy the facilities. Conveniently located and friendly staff.

Relaxed and at peace. Enjoyed hula dancers and breakfast at restaurant.

Excellent Hotel Have rooms with washer dryer, kitchen Great place Only downside is the beach is small and rocky

The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly. They also had presentations every morning for tourists on the area and nearby attractions. They also held a raffle for guests. One of the best places we've ever stayed at. Loved it!

went to Maui for the weekend as hawaiin side trip. Hotel/resort was beautiful ,staff was nice, helpful, and professional.

Over all a good stay I thought this being our 4th time here in 8 yrs I would have a better room. If I went to the far end of the balcony and leaned over I could see a little bit of the ocean. The room has been updated since our last stay, but could use a little more. Considering a different condo next time.

I liked the location, but I was very happy to leave the resort after a week. I happened to look under the bedsheets and the mattress protector was FILTHY. We asked for it to be replaced and service just left new sheets in the room for us to do it?!?! We pretty much had to beg for coffee pouches too, supposedly included in the resort fee. The staff just seemed like they didn't feel like working, rude at times. We ate in the resort restaurant a few times and I hated it every time. Mouldy grapes anyone? Yuk!!

My fiancé & I stayed here in September for 7 nights. We chose a studio room which had a full kitchen. We were hoping we would use the kitchen & at least make breakfast or lunch in to save money, but no we ate out every meal, that's what you gotta do on vacation. This location was amazing. We could walk to the ABC store, Times grocery market & much much more places from our hotel. 10 min drive to the most beautiful beaches Napili & Kapalua bay. The beach our hotel was on was gorgeous & not too packed. I loved this location, we had a rental car & drove everywhere with ease. My mom stayed at the Hyatt the same week we were there & we went & hung out with her for a day at her hotels pool, granted it was gorgeous it was super crowded there. At Aston Kapallua you get 1/2 the people, much more peaceful. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The pool was right next to the beach. Great happy hour prices on cocktails. They were renovating their larger pool while we were there, but the pool they had even though it was small was still very nice. I would definitely stay here again. But I'd pay a little more & get an ocean view. Awesome deal, great bang for you buck.

It was great and it meet my expectations and I like the hotel and my family love it and also will stay here again and let my friend knows about it

We booked this hotel since we wanted to be near where the action were. I wouldn't necessarily call this a 4 star hotel. A 3/3.5 stars is more appropriate given the amenities and the condition of the rooms. The hotel lobby is nice and new but the rooms would need some updating.

Great place very family friendly. it has to pools one connected to bar/ restaurant. It was really busy so we hung out at the other pool that was next to the grass so we could pull chairs under trees for shade. beach is not the best but for the units are way better then a simple hotel. The kitchen was half stocked enough we were able to grill which was nice saved us some money. great location across the street from a grocery store and a few restaurants that were normal priced plan on going back soon.
