The Mayfair Hotel Los Angeles

Great location but parking is awful. Valet is overpriced in my opinion.

-Clean room -Close to downtown LA -Was unaware the hotel was undergoing renovations, construction was taking place which meant that the front door was in a different location (confusing), there were common areas that were not pretty to look at -Based on what I saw from the current construction it looks like the hotel is undergoing some really nice changes -Service was basic but not above and beyond or outstanding

the room is small, and the bath room is TOO small (no counter top, no place to hang/put towel, and the shower place is tiny). The facilities are old, shaky chair, and even shaky toilet bowel ... close to noisy street (noisy even we stayed in 14th floor).

We enjoyed our stay and we will stay again, close to the Dodger Stadium. At first we didn't know what to expect from the look outside. When I got the reservation it didn't say it was under construction. We are definitely staying there again.

The room and bath look recently renovated and the bed was very comfortable. However, a few things were strangely missing: a desk lamp, bedside lamp, place to hang a towel in the bathroom. There are USB ports on the desk but outlets are few and inconveniently placed. The tabletop ironing board slid around on the desk so I had to put it on the floor. Main areas were under renovation at the time of my stay so I can't comment on that.

Not a great location. Building is under construction. No amenities for guest. Rooms are very small.

On the website, it states that the hotel is newly renovated. That's a LIE! There is no gym, no pool, no bar or restaurant at this DUMP! Online it shows, what it's going to look like after it's fully renovated. When you walk into the lobby, you meet the unfriendly staff (not all or unfriendly). The charge a 50$ per day incidental fee, the nerve! On the way to the elevator, you look up there is no ceiling, not even plastic covering. Floors 1-3 are under construction and the guest have access to those floor, instead of them shouting those floors off and having the construction workers use the service elevator, but I doubt if they have one. At both ends of the hall it leads to the construction. The rooms are so small and uncomfortable it's unbelievable. The bathroom is so tiny, when you sit on the toilet you are pressed between the sink and the shower, you have no room. There was paint on the floor by the window and the base board was coming undone. The desk against the wall had crumbs, dust and trash wedged in between where the trash over lapped. When the house keepers clean your room, they just make the bed, they don't vacuum the carpet, I was there for 7 days, picture staying with an unclean carpet for 7 days. My total for the stay was 1,085$, I thought I was staying at a luxury hotel but I was mislead by the website. They shouldn't be charging so much, for people to stay at a hotel that's being renovated.

Hotel was under construction during my stay so its unfortunate I didnt get to see its potential. Quick overnight in LA, hotel worked perfect for my trip.

Room was filthy dirty. Drywall dust everywhere thick in the air, tracked on the carpet, coating the windows, -everywhere. Bird crap thick all over the ledges outside the room windows!!! Big fat chunks of bird crap!!! Beds are Murphy wall beds. Rooms have half built cabinetry in them. Dirty carpets. Super weird small bathrooms where one can not move around in the shower. So small, packed, crammed bathroom. No working A/C. Could not breath. Only drywall dust film everywhere. Coughing, could not breath. Moved rooms higher up. Room was so small with just amount of room for the bed. Drywall dust was there too. Everywhere. Hard to breath.

The hotel is basic and nice for a business trip and in a great location to downtown LA Live. The room was small and the bathroom was smaller. I think people live there permanentley but there arent any amenities. The hotel front desk staff arent genuinely friendly, but the concierge and valet staff are. The only food options are less than a block away. 7 Eleven. They are friendly there. The neighborhood is very active during the day and there might be more police officers around than you would want to see. If your a light sleeper get a room that is opposite of the main road, there is a busline that will keep u up at night. If that doesnt the bed squeking will.

When I reserved the room, it said queen bed, but when in actual it was a twin pulled out mattress. Bed was not too comfortable. Room is pretty small. Other then that, it was nice and modern. The bathroom was nice.

The rooms were pleasing. The lobby was a war zone. The concierge was helpful. The valet parking was fine.

Bed and pillows were comfortable. Friendly staff at the desk and valet. The only downside, small room and even smaller bathroom. AC was not working

Parts of the hotel are under construction/remodel at the moment, but room was awesome and staff friendly...

This was a nice stay, I thought the room was nice, and the staff were very helpful. I enjoyed my time there. You get way you pay for and this was a budget hotel but for the budget it was fine.

Centrally located in DTLA, close proximity to many attractions. Walking distance from LA live, and many bars, and restaurants near the hotel.

We had bad experience, elevators don't work, room smells bad, bathroom 2x2 feet. We don't recommend staying. They charge 30 dollars for car per night. Need more info....

Although room are renovated. Bedding not good and hair allover the bed.

The hotel is not in downtown but is very closed. it take 10 min. to subway station by walk. One night bad experience that someone knock door heavy to disturb my sleeping, the security people come but not find anyone.

First off, they said I booked a double bed when I booked a king bed in a deluxe room. After arguing, she proceeded to do me the favor of putting me in a standard kind size bed room (below what I payed for). Room was horrible, the bathroom didn't even have a trash in it. Toilet was an inch away from the wall (against current building standards, I am a contractor). The lobby was a joke and looked like a construction site, and the elevators literally had holes in the top of them. Neighborhood was also very shady. Can't believe this place is still in business, but not even 1 star.
