When we booked or when we checked in, we weren't informed there would be a pool party grand opening occurring the night of our stay. The loudness of the dj and people partying outside seemed as if our windows were open the entire time. After an hour of tolerating the noise, I called the front desk to ask if they had ear plugs for the guests. They did not and referred me to walk across the street at 11pm to get some from the 7-11. After trying to fall sleep with no success, i got out of bed, got dressed and walked out of the hotel at 12am to get earplugs at the 7-11, only to find out they don't sell any. After walking back into the hotel, I attempted to speak with someone else at the front desk to find out if they had earplugs or if their management could attempt to help their guests that needed sleep by going to bring some, to which the person at the front desk said that wasn't their responsibility and referred me to try to go find another place to buy some. Furious that i had to get up at 5am for a business meeting after spending $200 for a room reviews assured was in a nice quiet hotel and area, I felt taken and completely unsatisfied with my hotel purchase.

The hotel was trendy and modern. Elizabeth at the front desk was amazing! She was super helpful in resolving an issue with my initial room. Overall, the staff and service were great. The restaurant in the hotel had great food and service, too. Enjoyed my stay.

Very beautiful staff friendly the hotel was in the center of everything

There was an infestation of roaches everywhere in the room. On the bed, the walls, door frames.

It’s a cool historic place that has been well updated.

Love this hotel. Friendly staff, cute rooms and gorgeous renovations.

Loved the roaring 20’s theme. There should be more about the history of the hotel. Lights in the room and outlets need an upgrade.

Close to staples center. No breakfast, not even coffee in lobby.

Hi Angelina - thank you for letting us know about this issue. Please accept our sincere apologies for this experience. We are aware that the event on the pool deck did cause some disturbance to guests and we did our best to mitigate the problems in real time. This was our first event in this new space and we underestimated what the noise level would be in the guest rooms. Moving forward, we are doing everything we can to make sure that any outdoor events do not affect those on the floors above. I do hope that you consider giving us another chance to better serve you in the future. Please reach out to us directly if you would like to discuss this any further.
