The LINE Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The Line blends in and interacts with the setting for this gem. It contributes and echoes to the sense of place.

I never did figure out how to take a shower without getting water all over the floor, but the design of the room, the comfort of the bed, and the view were all amazing.

Busy street location combined with single pane windows made for at noisy six night stay. Small rooms, no in-room coffee, and dim lighting adds to the fact that this is not a business friendly hotel.

A hip hotel well located in Koreatown, making for easy access downtown and to West Hollywood. The staff is friendly and super helpful, all the way from the front desk, to restaurant, cleaning and security (we had an issue with the room next door one evening, it was taken care of quickly and professionally). The restaurant is good and lively. We thought the room, for feeling tiny, was well designed at least with a small seating area and two small beds. The windows are old and let in a ton of street noise which woke us up at odd hours of the night. Hallways can seem a little austere with all the concrete and popcorn ceilings. All in all we’d come back for the staff, vibe and attention to detail. Thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome!

I enjoyed my stay here. I felt like the hotel was upscale. We had little kids and it was not a hotel catered to little children. Pool was small. Food was pricey and parking was very expensive.

The line was really good! In terms of staff and accomdations I feel that they could do better but overall it’s in a great area LA is a big city so everything is kind of far apart but the line is in the middle of everything. It’s walking distance from a lot of good places to eat! Also if you’re planning to Uber, it’s great! They have their own drive in that your driver can pull up instead of just on the side of the road. The hotel is really suitable for people who like fashion and that modern feel. I’m not gonna lie the commissary at the hotel is pretty pricey as well as the parking.

We stayed here to visit a friend who was staying here on a business trip from back East. Our first impressions were good, except for the excessive Valet parking fee. The room decor was creative & pleasant. There was a very nice, full wall, window view of the city. Several things made the night, very difficult. Most unpleasant, was the traffic noise in the Nineth floor room. It was a Friday night and the honking, tire screeching cars and revved up motorcycles continued loudly until almost 4 A.M. By morning, we were no longer interested in staying there for brunch. Our friend was staying on the 10th floor, for 3 nights. She said that her room had the same problems.

This hotel was a great design experience. The location to Ktown sights and area are great - however, some issues I had were valet was quite expensive per night AND the noise level was unavoidable! We were on the 11th floor of a 12 story building and it felt like the sound proofing could be way better. We felt like we heard the commissary and pool conversations and/or traffic right next to us the entire time. There was also some drilling or construction that was going on AND the fire alarms kept going off. I probably would recommend to go eat, but not to stay for long if you really desire sleep!

What a view! We were amazed the second we walked in our room! This hotel has a spectacular view!

Overall good experience, would of been better if the security would of have more respectful though. There is certain standards a security needs to follow believe it or not in particular in a hotel like the Line I would think. He asked me very rudely I had a room here as I was coming in one night, after I answered his question and showed him my key he just looked at not knowing what to say (did not appreciate his attitude!). Anyhow, thankfully the rest of the staff was friendly, I even received a birthday credit! :) Thanks!

THE LINE hotel is a great place to stay. It was recommend by friends who live in LA and I totally now know why. You'll love this place.

Everything was great. I just wish there were free breakfast!

Great location, convenient. Very nice staff. Overnight parking is steep.

Nice place. Great atmosphere and perfect location with a lot of stuff within walking distance.

Nice hotel, convenience location, friendly staffs. We are staying at 10th floor facing the road. It's a bit noisy but it was ok for us, no complain about that.

I love staying at the Line Hotel when visiting LA. The vibe and amenities at this low key spot fit me like a glove. Access to many favorite spots in LA is convenient from the Line.

I would stay at the Line again it's a great spot downtown. Peter

Small but has everything you need for a great stay. Love the floor to ceiling windows.

I arrived at about 1PM and tried to check-in which I didn't realize was until 3PM. In the meantime, I did a little shopping at Poketo, grabbed lunch at the Pot Cafe, and a drink at the bar. The music was fantastic, the booths were spacious and comfortable. After getting into my room, it was modern, clean, and comfortable. Honestly, it was the best LA hotel I've stayed at so far.

The Line Hotel is a hip, modern, and lively hotel in the middle of Koreatown. There is a Korean tofu joint nearby for those who are hungry late at night. The location is very convenient for trips to places such as Hollywood Blvd, Beverly Hills, etc. During the weekend the cafe turns into a club/bar at night which makes the place a lot more lively. Its award winning Korean fusion restaurant does nothing less than impress us. The staff are very friendly and responsive. Although the rooms are a bit small and the sliding bathroom doors could use a lock, the rooms are very cozy and clean. Overall, a very nice, modern hotel in the middle of Koreatown, LA.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your recent stay. We appreciate your admiration for the raw and modern touches enhanced by designer Sean Knibb. It truly is a privilege to have worked with such an innovator of our time. I am, however, disappointed to hear you didn't find the hotel suitable for children along with your disapprovement of the pool size and parking rates. We realize the parking rates might not be in agreeance with everyone but please keep in mind we are a hotel in Los Angeles and these rates can be seen throughout the city. We thank you again for your review and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Warm Regards, Director of Guest Experience, Nick Giambelluca

Firstly, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I do apologize you found the valet to be overpriced. We do our best to keep the pricing market competitive with our neighboring hotels. I do understand that the outside noise can be disturbing, especially for the light sleeps. We do have sleep kits available and also other rooms positioned inside the hotel that may provide you with a more comfortable sleeping situation. We appreciate your insight on Sean Knibb’s creative design of The Hotel, it is truly a privilege to have worked with such an innovator of our time. We do hope you'll come join us at the LINE LA on your travels back to the LA area, so we may have the chance to introduce you to one of our other room types. Warmest Regards, Director of Guest Experience Nick Giambelluca
