Great location. Room had everything I'd want. Would stay here again!

Close to relatives in Westwood but room is small and heat did not work on cooler nights in January. Offer made to move rooms after the weekend by weekend staff but did not happen after the weekend was over.

Easy check in great room and close to UCLA to watch gymnastics basketball etc

We had a very nice stay at the Royal Palace. It was located quite near the building where my aunt lived so we could walk. We had a suite which was convenient for both my parents and myself.

Hotel was in the Westwood neighborhood, close to Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Room was basic, clean and quiet. Staff helpful.

The hotel is not fancy, however, it is clean and the staff is beyond amazing and very helpful. Good bargain in West LA.

Nicely appointed suite. Helpful Staff. Windows that open to enjoy the SoCal weather. Walking distance to the UCLA campus, shops and plenty of restaurants. I would stay here again.

Perfectly adequate hotel that is close to everything in Westwood. Rooms were certainly clean. Hallways had a vaguely musty odor, but not unbearable. Plenty of great restaurant options nearby. Quiet at night, which is always a plus.

The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and willing to answer any question. The free parking was always available. This was my third stay and I plan to return on future trips to Los Angelos.

Considering this hotel is listed as two stars, I was expecting a sketchy experience. I was pleasantly surprised and found the room to be nicely decorated, extremely comfortable with superb bedding and very clean! The continental breakfast was not stellar but was certainly edible. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, especially because of it's proximity to UCLA (walking distance) and the reasonable price for the room.

We were pleased with the cleanliness and spaciousness of our room with two queen beds, though the bath was very small, and the hallways rather dingy with old wallpaper. We were disappointed that the free WiFi was limited. If too many guests tried to access the internet all at once, we couldn't get on. This made finding a restaurant, or planning the next day's itinerary difficult. Also, while there is a nice microwave and refrigerator available, there are no microwavable cups or plates available, and only plastic glasses and plastic silverware. Breakfast room was nice, with an assortment of bagels, muffins, sweet rolls, bread (but no whole wheat,) fresh whole fruit, hot and cold cereal, coffee, tea and juice. If you want to prepare and eat meals in your room, bring plates, cups and utensils. The parking is free, but one guest must park in front of another, and a key must be left at the desk. Some of the spaces are very small, and we ended up with some minor damage to our car doors. Pete's and Starbucks within one block, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods within two blocks. Denny's next door and a great Panini cafe two doors away.

This is our first time staying in the Westwood area; we were attending a campus tour. The hotel is only blocks away from the UCLA and has an easy access to local resaturants and grocery stores. The interior of the property is a bit old and does not have a pleasing looking. The good part is that the room we had is spacious and the bed (we had a king bed) is quite comfortable; lying on it, you feel relaxed. However, the in-room mini refrigerator would make a long and loud noise periodically. We didn't complain to the management, since we only stayed for one night, and being tired that day, we weren't bothered while asleep. The management is OK; the young representative seemed to be not as friendly as the older gentleman. Overall, we like its location and the convenience it offers. But we might try abother amenity next time.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting UCLA for a faculty meeting. The good parts: - the room and bathroom were clean, beds clean and comfortable. - breakfast is not all that varied (some pastries, cereal, coffee and juice) but good. - convenient location (its' really close to the UCLA campus) The bad parts are: - poor sound isolation. People walking in the corridor make the floor shake and are clearly audible. If you're lucky, there won't be too many guests and this will not be a problem for sleep. - the wireless connection is flaky. It will work well for a while then fail and be unresponsive for an hour or more. Overall, a decent hotel if you're visiting UCLA.

The room was very nice inside. The elevator kind of smelled but I just always took the stairs anyway. It was really close to a lot of great places so we just spent the trip walking around westwood mostly. Overall a very positive experience.

Hotel room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Common areas are extremely basic compared to room.

a comfortable hotel, I like it, but the breakfast is too poor .

We stayed one night to attend a play at UCLA and experience fine dining, which doesn't seem available south of LA. Outside of hotel wasn't impressive, but parking was free, as was WiFi. Complementary breakfast was adequate but not spectacular. Room was very nice, quiet, and very clean. Bed was comfortable. There are several excellent restaurants within two blocks of the hotel. We had dinner at the Napa Valley Grill, which was excellent with a very nice ambience. For the money, it was excellent.

i just needed a cheaper place to stay close to UCLA for a day trip. this place was clean and convenient. it was a little loud at night, as I had a room off the main hallway. there was a nice breakfast in the morning and the staff was helpful.

My husband and I have stayed at this small hotel in Westwood near UCLA several times, and we always find that it fits our needs perfectly. It's a short convenient walk to UCLA as well as the shops, restaurants, theaters, and Hammer Museum in Westwood. I would like to see their continental breakfast expanded a bit, but the other basic amenities - comfort, convenience, cleanliness, and location - at the hotel make up for it.

Comfortable, great location.
