When I checked in via the kiosk, there was a random $240-some charge prompted even though I already paid for the stay in full. The front desk employee, who was helping everyone at the self serve kiosk, said the charge was just an error and it would fall off. He didn’t say what it was even for. A couple days later, I see the charge cleared my checking account. I asked the person on staff at that time who said the charge was for breakfast. I never opted in, so I don’t really get what happened. He was nice enough to refund me. tldr; if you pay through a third party like Orbitz, be careful about surprise charges. And the self serve kiosk is useless when staff insists on walking you through it. Just let them do the job.

Do not stay here is you have a vehicle!!!! They have zero parking, and are not helpful in regard to finding a parking lot. The lots in the area of the hotel are blocks away from Skid Row! You will be in danger, and forced to deal with begging homeless people. It is unsafe. And on weekends, you will get the opportunity to meet other hotel guests at 6am to “feed the meter” and buy additional parking from the lots around the hotel. They all expire at 6am!!!!!! You will be towed if you don’t extend your parking after 6am. Enjoy!

This place was quite amazing for the money. The rooms are on the small side but perfectly designed. Better than hotels many time the price. Only downside is the umbrellas they have are useless (a weird asymmetric design that means one side of you will get wet if it’s raining). But that’s a minor gripe.

This is going to be my first bad review, but it must be said.. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE! The rooms are EXTREMELY small.. I traveled with my boyfriend and the room was so small that we constantly bumped into each other while getting dressed.. The sink was very small.. There was no complimentary breakfast available, only a “breakfast buffet” that was $24 with coffee, water, and orange juice for drinks and limited food.. No valet and only 3 available parking spaces to the hotel. We were practically told by staff to take a chance parking on the street or pay one of the nearby parking structures, which turned out to be our only option.. No garbage can, microwave, or good working refrigerator available in the room.. If you have leftovers you need to warm up, you have to go do so in the main lobby.. No ice available on any of the floors.. No room service.. No restaurant onsite.. I don’t know who’s idea it was to make a hotel with Barbie house sized rooms, but it was not desirable at all.. Not only for me, but at least 3 other guests complained about the same issues while conversing on the elevator.. Majority of the staff was ok, but was more in tune with each other than the guests.. I’m sorry, but this hotel gets 4 thumbs down from me..
