Great area to stay

The location is excellent and it's very quaint. The staff went out of their way to help us. The only thing we didn't like was that we found the back entrance very difficult. The code didn't seem to work in the door at the top of the stairs and it was difficult to be figuring that out while also keeping our luggage from toppling back down.

It was ok Room a bit smaller than the picture

Location was great. No elevator was a bummer.

Love the old fashioned style.

Room was tiny and good for short stays like one nighter. Bathroom was also small with no space to put ur stuff. Hot water became hot fast which i liked. Bed was comfortable with clean sheets and pillows. Staff was nice; they also let us check in early for free (2hrs before it was time to check in). I didnt mind stairs; i think of it as extra calories burned!

The lobby is on the third floor and there is NO Elevator - so you need to lug you luggage up. The "free" parking is 2 blocks away. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished - but very small.

Terrific value, attentive staff, free parking, clean rooms, walking distance to great places to eat, the Americana at Brand shopping complex, public transportation, and couple miles from Amtrak/Metrolink station. Just need to keep in mind that hotel was built in 1924 so it’s not ADA compliant. Don’t be surprised when you open entrance door and just see stairs. There is no elevator. You’ll need to walk up the 34 stairs to reach the lobby and if you have a room on a higher floor traverse even more stairs. Didn’t mind because it makes for great exercise. The downside is that common areas have a funny smell. Difficult to describe. Not sure if it’s coming from behind the walls, in the carpets, someplace else, or just the smell of an old building. It was strong enough for it to be a concern for wife who wouldn’t recommend staying here because of it. Otherwise, a great place to stay for a unique experience. Rooms were very clean. Staff offered to help with luggage when checking out.

Cons: The room was small and cramped. The floors creaked excessively and loudly. There was no elevator and no bell service to help with my luggage. Pros: The hotel decor was nice, and there were a fair amount of restaurant options in the area.

Nice cozy hotel, old style looking, elegant, friendly staff, good neighborhood, for LA standards it's walkable. lots of good restaurants around, fast reliable wifi

Check in was a breeze, Arthur helped me and my friend. Best service made us feel at home and very welcomed. The location is the best you are in the heart of Glendale! Truly walking distance from the best malls, Americana, rafis ect. Make sure you book in advance cuz you won’t find a better hotel in Glendale.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and room service was great.

Great downtown location. Room was clean and in order. I'd stay here again if I'm in California again, hopefully not. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The room was cozy and very efficient. Loved the complimentary bathrobes!

Very old and needs lots of improvements

Pleasantly quaint. I had a single King room which was very small but vey well arranged and decorated with quality furnishings. No microwave or elevator. Parking is a block away. Large flight of stairs to climb to check in but staff is more than happy to help with luggage. Great for a 1 or 2 night stay. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice.

The staff was so friendly
