Hotel staff not especially friendly or welcoming at check in. Also, needed to ask about parking pass. Usually hotels asked if you have a vehicle. Furthermore, there was a $15 fee for parking.

Room was clean, bed comfortable.King bed room had refrigerator, microwave, ironing board. Breakfast was ok...typical cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffle maker, toast, prefab eggs, sausage. Shuttle to airport excellent and punctual. Front desk friendly, efficient, excellent. The highway and airport was outside my window...I could not hear it..sound proofing was great. Area was not great. We walked to the bar at the Westin, but many might feel unsafe walking in the neighborhood. Didnt want to drive....We used LYFT car service to get to downtown to a concert at WaltDisney Concert Hall after eating great tacos at Grand Central Market....l.took 1hr 35 in traffic, around $20. for the two of us. Also used Lyft app car to go to Getty Center and back which was excellent.The hotel was great at around $160.a night. Not sure I'd that was a special rate. Would stay again.

I purely stayed at this hotel as it was the cheapest in the LAX vacinity that did not have reviews mentioning prostitution traffic. I needed to be at a hotel close to LAX with a free shuttle for ease of travel with my toddler and we were leaving the country and didn’t feel up to exploring LA after a 4 hour drive from San Diego (really bad traffic). The hotel smells a little moldy and one of the 2 elevators was out of commission and constantly backed up. Also room service did not have any vegan options so we had to use uber eats, which wasn’t the biggest deal, although the appeal of room service is not having to get dressed and leave the room for food x many times. The staff was incredibly nice and the shuttle was efficient. Breakfast goes quick so it’s best to get down there early. Breakfast was included in our room fees and they had fresh fruit, yogurts, coffee, tea, juices, waffle maker, eggs, bread and bagels, and sausage, and oatmeal packets- from what I saw. Shuttle is not available by need but rather runs on a schedule.

It is a nice hotel but some rooms have issues. Initially they allocated a room which smelled like someone smoked heavily in there. Cannot enter the room with kids. Then they gave another room next to Ice machine room which was sounding like running a big generator. Finally they gave me another room which is a nice one. Other than these initial struggles, rest of the trip went fine. Breakfast is good. The drawback is, there is a parking fee 15/Day.

Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. We over nighted in LA on our way to Kauai and it worked out nicely, hotel was close to airport. All staff were very friendly especially shuttle driver Melody?..

Overall good place for the money. They refused to give Wyndham points because it was booked thru Orbitz. This is the biggest negative for me.

I think the people behind the desk need to pay attention more to the incoming guest but they were quick to answer my questions.

It's ok for one night to stay. The hotel located by the highway so it's a little bit noisy.

The night shift front desk staff(2ladies) are not so friendly nor helpful while when I am just checking in. And will leave the hotel early in the next morning. I asked them about shuttle buses and the service time, how to make sure to get on the bus. They two of them just charting with each other and show me the time table,earliest bus comes at 4:00am. And tell me I have to stand outside the hotel front gate and wait to see the bus. But the next morning when I check out, a male staff told me I don't need to go outs side, the bus driver will come in and clock time, so that is a very important information for me! And thank him, we didn't have to stand cold outside in the early morning 4am!

Hotel lies about time to pick up. Waited 90 min and met others waited longer. 1 tiny vehicle.

This hotel was very very comfortable and very close to the airport. Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Complimentary breakfast was delicious everyday. Staff was very friendly and most of all the bed was super comfortable. I'm glad I made this decision to stay at the Wingate.

It was a short trip and we stayed at Wingate for just two nights, very pleasant hotel.

great!! location is convenient and close to places to eat

Overall Hotel stay was pleasant. The airport shuttle was our only disappointment. It took 2 hrs wait time at LAX Shuttle pick up. When it finally arrived it was over crowded and barely had room for one person. I had to sit on my husband's lap for the duration of the ride back to the hotel.

The key card didn't work half the time I was there.

Nice upgraded room! I was impressed of the room cleanliness, a comfortable King Bed, a funny cool shuttle Drive (Melody), and the no fee early check in. I always stay at Marriott but since it was a last minute flight to LA for 2 nights, they were the cheapest I found compare to Other LAX hotels. The building looks older but oh my the interior design of the room looks similar as Courtyard Marriott. Great stay Wingate! thank you!

Nice clean room that includes breakfast..affordable parking.

Very close to the airport. Staff was very nice and the room was very nice and very clean. Breakfast was fine. I had read some bad reviews after I made reservations but this hotel was clean, convenient, and again, the staff was very, very nice. I have no complaints at all. I'd definitely stay there again!

We needed a place to overnight at LAX, and this was a fine place for it.

comfortable room close to airport.

lax convenience for necessity

nice hotel. but previous guest did smoking

It is a nice hotel but some rooms have issues. Initially they allocated a room which smelled like someone smoked heavily in there. Cannot enter the room with kids. Then they gave another room next to Ice machine room which was sounding like running a big generator. Finally they gave me another room which is a nice one. Other than these initial struggles, rest of the trip went fine. Breakfast is good. The drawback is, there is a parking fee 15/Day.

Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. We over nighted in LA on our way to Kauai and it worked out nicely, hotel was close to airport. All staff were very friendly especially shuttle driver Melody?..

close to the airport
