I love the historial value of the property. I love the museum atmosphere.

This does not need to be a hotel the rooms smell old and they are stuffy the decore looks like an old haunted house i literally walked into this room and booked another hotel for me to stay at and i left. I did not stay in this creepy room and i will never ever stay book at this hotel again

the rooms are old and outdated, bathrooms were dirty , no room service. windows are extremely dirty.

The personal is nice , installations super clean. Not noice at all. I recommended !!!!

The hotel was beautiful! It is in a great location with lots of restaurants in the area and centrally located. There is a really cute bar but no late night food. My son lost his necklace in the pool the night before we left and one of the employees fished it out for us at 6am. I thought that was awesome!

Charged me 55.00 for an early check in...even though my room was ready. TV’s are old and usless. Had to change rooms as a result and the new room was just as bad. They are not very consumer friendly. They want to nickel and dime you to death in a sub-par property, living off past reputation.

Alot of architectural and cinematic history throughout the hotel.

Beautiful and professional.Great location and so so much history!

Not happy to see a $25.00 Facilities Fee added to my bill. What good is Orbitz if I have to go digging through hotel websites to look for hidden fees? Answer: No Good (the $75.00 extra I spent makes me feel I got ripped off. BTW--I found the Orbitz "clause" that freed it from any responsibility for the fee)

Absolutely amazing interiors. Lobby and ground level have decorated ceilings, fresco walls, fountains. Wherever you look, something attracts you.

Lovely historic hotel which was home to the academy awards in the 1930s and 1940s the hotel has historic photos from that era and the swimming pool is from the 1920s and has lovely tiles. The hotel must have been really stunning when it opened. It still has it's historic charms however it has seen better days. In my room the windows were dirty on the outside. The cabinet had a door that was coming off the hinges. In the gym the sauna and steam rooms both had signs that they were closed for repair, from the look of them they have been closed for a long time. The hot tub had a timer you could turn on however the jets did not fully come on when you turned the hot tub on. The railing into the hot tub was loose. The location in Downtown LA was convenient and close to the metro at Pershing square a lovely french bakery Pitchoun and a lovely bar with a roof-top terrace Perch. It's a nice hotel but go in expecting a little rough around the edges.

It's an old hotel. The AC didn't work in our room and once it was fixed, it was either on full blast or off. I really didn't like the daily "resort fee". I have no idea what it was for, other than an additional charge.

We liked the uniqueness of this Hotel. It was beautiful

The best part about the hotel is the history it holds. Everything else needs help.

I loved the architecture in the downstairs lobby and hallways. When I got up to my floor, I expected the same, but the hallways and rooms were old. You could hear the people in the hallways and other rooms clearly.

Dear Traveler,
Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback. We are sorry to hear the rooms weren't up to the standard you've come to expect from us and was disappointed to read that you did not have a pleasant check-in experience. I know our front office team will do everything in their power to check our guests in as soon as possible. However, on the occasion our guests arrive earlier than expected, it may require extra labor from our housekeeping team to clean the room, which might delay and add extra cost for the early check -in.

We do pride ourselves on service excellence with a goal of exceeding our guests' expectations. Nevertheless, I will share your feedback with the relevant department to check if any improvement can be made to better meet the need of our guests.
Yours sincerely, Liana, PR and Marketing Manager
