The hotel is very lovely. The architecture is amazing and each room unique. The staff was helpful and room was relaxing and nice to sleep in. Taking pictures was a issue and I did get stopped twice by security for taking pictures of myself in the hotel and was told I was not allowed to do so even as a guest. that was upsetting to me and the only complaint But a big one!
All staff were courtious, helpful and friendly. Front desk helped us get an upgrade as we had an unexpected third person come with us.
I enjoyed my stay as the staff was professional and the room was better than expected for a landmark of this age.....
Grand old lady but very tired. Plumbing is very slow so you stand a couple inches in the shower water since the drain empties at a snails pace.
I visited the Hollywood Bowl for a concert, Beverly Hills, Paramount Studios Tour, Santa Monica & Malibu, LA Museum of Modern Art. Hotel was pretty close to most places a tourist would be interested in .
Overall, our experience was positive. We were attending graduation at USC, so the location worked well as it was close to campus, and it also is convenient to the freeway system.
Hotel is in need of a total renovation. Guest room water faucets did not work. On Saturday, there was a commercial filming in addition to a protest a few blocks away. We could not return to hotel for 4 hours because every street around hotel was closed. Hotel knew about the closures but did not warn its guests. Stay someplace else.
Staff was excellent. Old school classic vibe. Room was solid. Bathrooms need work, sounds like they are upgrading faculties. Overall great staff and location.
If you have something to do in (or near) downtown Los Angeles the Biltmore is a very good option.
Only looby was good, The room was very dirty every things was dirty
It was the perfect location for business travelers looking for a clean room walking distance from LA Live, LA Convention Center, etc.. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable and helpful; from making restaurant suggestions to help with wifi connection issues. I really enjoyed my visit and will stay there again on my next trip to downtown LA.
Disappointed with my hotel room...the room is overdue for remodeling and the mattress is beyond its prime. Clearly felt that I was given low quality accommodation because of my purchase through a discounted website. Overnight parking is ridiculously over priced...$45.00 per night. Park at the garage adjacent to the hotel for $16.00 per night.
I was excited when first got to check in. The lobby is elaborate beautiful and the whole ground floor is beautiful! But, when I got to my floor the third floor. The carpet yet still colorful was bunched up in places throughout the hallways and when got to the room surprisingly disappointed. It was quaint and not one picture on the walls in the room. The dated furnishings added to the quaintness of the room. The gym has older equipment but, in good working condition. I'd stay there again but was surprised by the bare boring room. Good value for the price! The staff seemed a little snobby at times.
Overall my stay was satisfactory but my room was tiny, had no view at all, no mini fridge, no mini bar and the bathroom was cramped. I stayed for two nights and on my second night there was no power at all from 11pm until 5am the next morning. They told us it was due to some power & water test in the area which is fine since that's out of their control. What wasn't fine was not offering compensation for not having full amenities during my stay. No way to charge my digital devices, no TV, no WiFi and most critically, no air conditioning. There are so many hotel choices in downtown LA I won't be booking a stay here again in the future I'm afraid. The staff didn't apologize for the lack of power, didn't do anything except inform us and give us a free glow stick to get around in the dark. Totally disappointed.
The Biltmore is a gorgeous building and I would definitely visit it again.
NICE LOCATION, GOOD HISTORY, NICE PICS ON THE LOBY WALL
Was a great stay! Stayed here for a conference and was very happy with the comfort of the room. Would definitely come back!
The hotel is located in the center of LA. It is close to subway and bus stations. It is located in a safe neighborhood. The room is clean and the furniture is nice and unique.
Enjoyed every aspect of my stay. Nice building. Great location. Everything was good.
