My wife is in a business trip and I am in my country (Costa Rica) and today is her birthday. I called the Residence Inn London Downtown and asked for a special request for her. They bought for me some flowers, helium balloons and chocolates and delivered them in her room! The People who work at this Hotel is AMAZING they help me to do something special for my wife... I really want to say THANK YOU!!!

I am a Marriott Platinum Elite member, other than the in room air conditioner fan (a bit louder compared to newer hotels) and tight clearance (1.87m) and turnaround at underground parking entrance I have no other complaint. Price is at average in London ON, room is clean, free Breakfast is decent with great varieties. This two bed room update offered by staff was an excellent choice for my family visit.

I arrived at this hotel after a long travel day and immediately was very unimpressed. I pulled back the covers to climb in bed and to my surprise when I woke and daylight was shining I found I slept in a bed with both urine and blood stains. Upon further inspection of the room I found a wine cork in plain sight. Housekeeping here is obviously not doing their job and I would 100% stay away. All I can say is pics are worth a 1000 words so you can judge for yourself if you would be happy with the bedding, the most intimate part of the hotel say. I asked the manager to call me but never heard a word. Also upon checkout I found my bill to be incorrect which just proves my point that they are asleep at the wheel here. Very disappointing for a Marriott. I would give zero stars if possible. In fairness, upper management at the hotel did try and reach out after checkout but I had already spoken to three other people and I am sick of hearing I am sorry for something that cannot be rectified. I do not want nor asked for any type of refund nor would I accept it if they offered. I wouldn’t want them to think money can fix this issue and let them off the hook that easily. I would prefer that they fix the internal issues so others do not suffer the same horrific stay I did.

This Residence Inn was more than adequate for a one night stay with teen agers. The suite had two bedrooms and a pull out which was perfect for two adults and 3 teens. The breakfast was decent and the teen agers were able to fill up before we started our day. The rooms while clean looked a bit dated. The bathroom off the 'master' bedroom was very small with a shower designed for a very small, thin person. The lobby area and public spaces also need some refurbishment as they look a bit tired. The area the hotel is in is okay but not exactly picture-esque. Again, if you are traveling on business or to see the university, the hotel is more than adequate and only 10 minutes by car to the UWO campus.

Building looks very basic when you pull up. Rooms have spacious living room separate from bedroom. Underground parking was very convenient. Decor in room was not modern, but worked well for Alumni weekend.

We were in London for one night for a wedding. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Arriving at 2pm we easily found parking in the above ground lot (hadn't expected to pay for parking let along $15 for one night, but it was fine and convenient). The front desk staff are excellent, they helped us find a nice pub for lunch around the corner where we ran into some close friends. The suite was a really good size for what we found a very reasonable price. We are a family of 3 (parents and teen), we found the layout perfect. However be aware if you need more privacy that one of the "rooms" is open concept so not perfect for two couples for example. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom had lots of counter space. Nice big closet as well with lots of hangers. The kitchen is really nicely finished and has a full sized fridge, while we were only there for a short stay this would be fantastic if you are there longer. There is a convenient variety store right next door that has some pretty decent staples, and the hotel has a stash of nibbles at decent prices if you get the munchies. Didn't make it down for the included breakfast but heard from family that it was unexpectedly good, full hot breakfast with lots of choices not just a plate of stale danishes and muffins. We would absolutely stay here again.

A great sunrise view from the 12th floor. A quiet restful stay in a clean room with a hot breakfast included . This hotel would do Marriott proud if not for the dated couch. The sense of style is from the 1990s ! Or is this part of some retro tourist tour look?

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. Parking situation is very poor as mentioned in other reviews, and the woman at the front desk was very rude and unwelcoming from the moment I arrived. She then put me in a wheelchair accessible room and didn't bother telling me. I got up to my room and discovered that I didn't have a bathtub (i.e., nothing separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom). I call down to the front desk to ask for another room. Three times. The phone rings, and rings, and rings, and no one answers. I go down to the front desk less than a minute after the last call (my room was on the second floor). Of course, the same lady who checked me in is sitting in the back room reading a book (it's 9:30 p.m. - not exactly the wee hours of the morning). Why she didn't care to answer my calls, I'll never know, but I have my suspicions. In any event, I give her my complaint, and all I get is "we're sold out". No explanation of how I end up in a room without a bathtub, no sorry, no sympathy. I left the hotel that night and am never going back. Extremely disappointed with the quality and service of this hotel. Never staying there again.

To begin, let me say the staff were all very nice and helpful. Top notch, so many thanks for that. The building, however, is old, decrepit, and in dire need of a renovation. The elevators are slow and undependable. The rooms have potential, but the furnishings are old and uncomfortable. Speaking of uncomfortable, the bed was so hard that sleep was nearly impossible. Additionally there was a deep depression in the mattress so that you could only lie in it in one spot and on your back. The hide a bed mattress was appallingly bad, and my daughter managed only a few hours of sleep on it. The Marriott hotel chain, I thought, has minimum standards. This particular establishment failed to meet my expectations of that hotel chain. Very disappointing, and I will be advising anyone I know planning on visiting London to avoid this hotel.

Having essentially a small apartment with a full kitchen and living room is a key if you are travelling with the family for a number of nights. The Residence Inn staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It is an older building so don't expect modern furnishings and decor. We enjoyed our stay and had very good sleeps.
