I reserved a room but they didn’t have any available for me when i got there.they refused to give me a refund
We've stayed here many times, and it continues to be an attractive hotel with clean, modern rooms and comfortable beds, convenient for our purposes. I do think that rooms overlooking the parking lot rather than the lake are given to customers who do not reserve directly through them. And it annoys me that they charge my credit card $75 for "incidentals" upon checkin and then issue a credit after checkout. Since covid, they do not provide dressers for clothes, and we found that the open shelves are inadequate for storing belongings for 2 people during a stay of more than 2 nights.
Short stay.
The property has not returned both of our 50 dollar deposits 10 days later. The bartender needs to learn how to make a drink and pay for your bottles of water at the reception desk DONT CHARGE IT TO YOUR ROOM. I paid 23.50 for two bottles of water and one bottle of coke even though the sign said 3.50 for coke and water was from the hotel. Not worth staying there for the food/bar the Employees walk around like Robots literally SMH
The room was very clean and smelled fresh. Bed was very comfortable.
View was nice. I requested a suite and reserved it online but wasn't given a suite. It was our daughter's birthday (11th) sleepover.

The Waterfront Inn is a beautiful building and grounds. However, the inside was like stepping back into the 80s. The wallpaper was super outdated with huge flowers and dark colors. The inside of the elevator had a bamboo ceiling and sides which smelled awful.
Good location, nice view overlooking lake and pool. Outdated decor and old bed - very uncomfortable.
Outdated - bad check in process overall clean but decor is old and lobby is small
It’s very old or isn’t and badly needs updating. Rates are way over priced but when you are the only player in town...... Still doesn’t justify $300 per night without breakfast. I was having drinks outside on the patio at 4pm, I wasn’t aware it was a segregated area for the restaurant but the staff made sure I knew as they wanted us to move along because we were only having drinks. I let them know we were staying at the hotel and NO I wasn’t moving till I was ready to leave. Checkout was “I’m checking out room xxx. Okay you are good.” Not worried if I enjoyed my stay or whether everything was okay. It was an inconvenience to them to print out my receipt. Would I stay there again ? NEVER. The lake view seems like a retention pond for the development.
The only down side to our stay was that check in/out was slow, I had to ask a hostess if there was someone working, apparently the printer that is located on the front desk (it actually is a couple Desks) doesn't work with the computer that is at the Desk. So the front Desk clerk had to go to the back room to print out your paperwork. They probably could use a computer room for access by the guest, I had to ask the clerk to print out our boarding passes. There again she had to go to the back room to get them.
very nice location, very close to lake sumter landing
Great location Why should I write more when I was just there to visit It’s just a room which happens to be in the right spot
Nice location to walk around Sumter Landing and all the shops and restruants. The food at the hotel was not the best, mattress in room and tv was dated.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I'm sorry for the confusion in the room types. I see that you booked online through Orbits. Unfortunately, they do not have access to our Suites for booking, that is an upgraded room with an additional charge. Again I'm sorry for the confusion and thank you for staying with us.
Thank you for your review. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again soon.
