Nice hotel. We were there to visit family. Clean and friendly. Breakfast could use some improving.

The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be in the center of all the action. The village square was always very crowded, difficult to navigate and difficult to find parking. The hotel was just ok. Breakfast was limited primarily to a buffet I would expect to get at a chain hotel. The room was clean and adequate, but housekeeping was lax. Wet, used towels were not picked up out of the bathroom. One day we did not get new clean towels and the 2nd day we did not get facecloths or hand towels. If I visit the Villages again The Waterfront Hotel would not be y first choice

It was an uneventful stay. The bar closed at 10pm so there isn't much today after that at the hotel. The $10 breakfast buffet was ok, we figure we got what we paid for.

Everything from the room itself to the common areas was squeaky clean at all times. Room and bathroom were spacious and well lit, and included a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Staff was very friendly and well informed, and helped me in any way possible. The one negative experience I had was the morning of my departure when a member of the housekeeping staff knocked on my door at 9 AM and told me I needed to check out. I pointed out that the check out time was noon but she did not seem to understand, so I went ahead and pack and left early.

The hotel is conveniently within walking distance of Sumter Landing businesses and activities in The Villages. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Many rooms have a water view. Wish that the dining room food was a bit better though. There is a charge for the breakfast buffet; it is not complementary. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room had only shower and slide bar didn't work. Property was full so couldn't move. Checking staff so so. Breakfast good. Several places to dine in area. Parking a probl due to bar crowd from outside

We go to the villages a couple of times a year to visit family. We have stayed in several places down there and by far this is the best thing around. Only problem would be the shower in our room. I don't know why we were given a handicap accessible room, but it was difficult to deal with and flooded the entire bathroom everytime it was used. Hotel itself was great.

The location was very nice close to everything. The housekeeping was sub-par. The first day the room was not made up had to call down and the other two days there were glasses left on the dresser and never replaced with new ones, the decorative bed pillows were never put back in place after beds were made, and the carpet could have used a good cleaning. The front desk personnel were very friendly and the matradee was also.

Th entire staff was helpful, friendly, and courteous. Neil, the bellhop was exceptional.

The location was great, There is I lot of resturand in walking distance. The people are great. There is a plaza near the hotel with live music.

Room was nice. Well decorated. not large. Was there for parents birthday and was good for that. Unusual that the pool entrance was thru the dining room.

We had a wonderful room and fun shopping in the village.

Enjoyed every minute at the hotel

went to visit family who bought in the villages, convenient location to everything..only bad thing was noisy...you could hear people talking in halls from your room.

We were very pleased with our 5 nights at the Waterfront Inn. The room was very attractive - 2 queen beds - lots and lots of pillows. We were in Florida to attend the 50th anniversary of my aunt and uncle who live in The Villages. The Waterfront location was perfect - about 1 mile from their home. Several out-of-town guests stayed at the Waterfront and we were all pleased. I have only 3 small complaints. 1) There was no complimentary breakfast. The lady at the front desk said no hotel with a restaurant offered a free breakfast - they would go out of business . . . 2) We needed extra hangers and again, the lady at the front desk said that would probably not be possible. I called housekeeping the next morning and the hangers were delivered promptly. 3) On 2 occasions we could hear the neighbors in the next room - their TV and a phone call. The hallways (wallpaper and trim) were beautiful; walking down the hall to your room was like looking into one of those mirrors that keeps reflecting back the same lovely view over and over and over again into infinity. We would stay there again.

Great. We attempted to check-in and the hotel had no idea who we were. We paid for the trip online with Orbitz, got a confirmation number and everything. So we showed up at the hotel & they did not have a reservation for us, thanks to Orbitz, they never sent the reservation or payment confirmation to the hotel. Let alone that it was the 4th of July, the hotel was almost fully booked and thankfully, we were able to get a room, they had 4 left when we checked in at 5 PM. We came pretty close to not having a place to stay. When we were on the phone with Orbitz, they didn't give a darn about us, made no apologies for their screw-up but after 90 minutes dealing with them and the clerk at the hotel, we finally were able to cehck-in and get to our room after driving for 7 hours.

Loved the view of the lke. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Pool and spa were delightful. A short walk to town and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Water Front Inn and well diffinantly stay there again when we are in the area.
