Called from airport never answer phone, when finally answered placed on hold and hung up on, the shuttle was always booked for non airport use, they need to establish a airport schedule as the only reason booked was for shuttle, would have booked at full service Hilton if I would have known.
No Valet, No Room Service, No Kitchen, No extended check out for Honors members and Self service for water bottles. i always stay with Hilton Hotels when i travel. Which is every two weeks. This is the first time I was dissapointed.
Most comfortable vacations at Guadalajara MX. Neat and clean property with amenities just fit for vacationing or business. Best friendly team taking care of guests. Delicious breakfast, shuttle service.
My wife and I were at the Hampton Inn August 25th to the 29th. We are Hilton Honors and made use of the points to stay here. We chose this Hampton vs other Hilton hotels because of its location. Our goal was to use it as a base to travel to the outlining towns.Let begin with the pluses: 1) staff attentive when approached;2) Very busy but will assist then move on to their next task;3) the desk staff was able to give us taxi estimates to each locations which helped us with the negotiations.5) the room service was good. The minus are: 1) the bathrooms need some up-grading but usable, 2) need to take a Hampton Inn card so to show to many of the taxi drivers (Zapopan, Tonala and Tlaqupaque) address as a reference. Many think its the Hilton and get confused. This is not a problem of the hotel.3) we did not know they had a small cafe (bar can be used for snacks, sandwiches etc.). Most important, the breakfast hours changed and we were not aware. The hours during the week are different from the week-end. Francisco at the front desk was helpful in dealing with taxi estimates and attentive. We enjoyed the ambiance and the location as it's in a safe neighborhood. We plan to return in March. Groups of teenagers loudly running through hallways late at night ignored by hotel staff. Large student groups staying at hotel. No one supervised them so teenagers were running through hallways yelling until 2AM one night. I called desk about 11:30 but continued until 2AM.
Arrived in Guadalajara and stayed here for 3 days. As I checked in only 1 room out of 2 was available. We didn't mind waiting and putting all of our bags in 1 room for now. During our 3 day stay only 1 elevator worked. For a 6 floor hotel it wasnt a big deal but what was annoying was that only 1 of 4 keys worked. In order to access the elevators you need a room key, yes only 1 key worked! We had to constantly go to the front desk to get the key activated. Once in the room it was clean, great job to the housekeeper who always had it nice and clean. Upon our 1st night we got a super scare when 1 family walked into our room at 11pm! Shaken up as well they went back out and the bell man called the front. I peeked out and said what was going on? Apparently an error from the front desk, who assigned our room to another family. No apology from the bell man but from the family who was not their fault. I called the front desk and asked to double check that my 2 rooms are assigned to only me. To which they said they had already checked in a rude and snappy voice(no apology). I told them that they had terrible customer service and whay if it was a person who just happened to be under the influence and alone with no bell man. I had children in the room. To which they said that from their understanding it was an error with computer(no apology or ownership of fault). Day 2: The second morning as I came down for breakfast I decided to mention it to the morning staff hoping to get a different reaction. But no, i received nothing but a facial expresion that included a raised eyebrow. They said no one told them it happened and it was almost impossible for such error to occure(no apology). It was hopeless, I later decided to call in the evening to reserve the aiport shuttle for the following morning. I called around 4pm to which they said they needed a day in advances prior notice. To which I cannot understamd give some people only stay for 1 night. After I mentioned this they called again and told me my family group was too big and another family was already reserved for the same time. That they can ask for a taxi. I told them no thanks I can do that myself(UBER). I decided to set up with a local aiport company who have vans because even with an Uber our bags would not fit. After I made reservations, the front calls and says Actually we do have room but you will be dropped off at another location and then the driver will come back 4 you. It wont be very long. I decided to go with it seeing I would save $500 peso van rental Day 3 Last day, we went to Tlaquepaque and Tonala. Good souveniers and time. Upon our return I went to the fron and asked if our laundry had arrived. This girl had to ask 4 other employees to get a yes. When I had already called to confirm, but it is what it is I guess. After they dragged our laundry from who knows where I was just happy to get it. CHECKout day: We come down early to have coffee and be ready for the airport shuttle. I leave the room thinking I have everything. As I get in the shuttle, we actually go all the way to the airport. I was so happy I tipped the choffer decently. As i go through security and decided to buy a snack I realized I have no money nor credit cards. It finally hits me, I left them in the safebox. I ask my family and they all say they didnt grab anything. My fault. I call the hotel to see if they can mail it to myself(no), my next stop(mex city,no) ok my aunt in Guadalajara(No). They said I had to hire a shipping company. They said call "expedia". Im baffled, I look for this expedia and nothing. I call again, they them gave me names of fed ex, estafeta and ups. No phone numbers. I Google a few with no luck. No one wants to transport money nor credit cards. I end up calling the hotel and updating them. They say thats all they can do. So I decide to leave my aunts name and hope she can travel to pick it up. They said thats fine. 20 min later I get a phone call. Apparently I need to fill out a form and sign it. I tell them im in the aiport. They said that they will email me a form. My flight was delaued 1 hr and I have received no email. I call them a 5th time and ask for the email. They said "we havent sent it yet". Im on my flight with very dim hope I will get my money or credit cards. Im happy I have my family who can lend me money. But what of I was a solo traveler? Update as soon as I know anything.
Great place to stay, location is very convenient to get around the tourist areas, the staff is friendly and give options to dine and places to visit, my Family and I walked every night with to security concerns is located around a safe and quiet area, I have spent many days in Guadalajara is this is one of the best location and rate.
Hotel is relatively new, good breakfast, but not a place where you would invite friends or relatives to meet you for a bite. Font desk manager didn't care about Hilton policies or loyalty program, seems to have had his own policy for everything. Actually tried to charge me for my daughter that was 14 years old as an adult, and challenged my knowledge of the Hilton policy and their website and app.
I stayed around 90 days as a part of business trip. Employees at hotel are very co-operative and helpful. They are providing very good complimentary breakfast for all guests. Front lobby and dining is nice. Negatives : No room service for food and beverages, No room refrigerators. Positive : Clean and hygiene rooms daily cleaning at morning. Staff behaviour
The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a parking garage below the structure although it was too small to park our Euro Van so we had to park it elsewhere. The service and the breakfast were good. Overall pretty good.
