Warwick Allerton Hotel Chicago

Hotel was nice. Elevators were slow. They had a sign that they were working on them. There was a wedding one day and they shut them down for a half hour to let the guests enter. The rooms were smaller than I imagined and the bathrooms were small. There was one very small shelf for my things. Other than that the location was great, the rooms were very clean and the staff was excellent. We went with a group of friends for my husband's 40th and we were able to get almost all of us on the same floor.

Elevators are not up to code and often one of them is broken. Takes an average of 40 minutes to get one. Guests often takes the stairs. The staff seems to be unhappy. They do not smile and behaves like you are bothering them when you ask them for help..ahhhh

The doors slam shut very hard so if you plan on sleeping in, you probably won't. Once someone leaves their room the door slams and woke me up every time.

Great location, loved my room, friendly staff, but $60 for parking just seemed to be excessive, even with downtown Chicago parking what it is, feel like paying guests should be given a bit more of a break.

Very helpful concierge. They assisted us in everyway possible. Highly recommended. Rooms were timely and neat when we arrived. They actually had our room ready 9 hours prior. Great place. Will come back!!

Very clean, nice staff and perfectly located! Everything was close by and we felt totally safe at this hotel. We will be going back soon and this is my hotel of choice!

The hotel has a good location and a beautiful exterior; however, the elevators were too few and took ages to get to you, the room had dirty carpet and the shower was old and not clean.

This place was rough. "Family room" consisted of two queen beds about a foot apart from each other, and a desk. Really awful for most family situations. Spent more time waiting for elevators than anything else. Very very slow elevators. Zero amenities for such an expensive location. Very pricey parking.

The Allerton Hotel has very small rooms and limited amentities. Some of the staff, mostly housekeeping, were cordial, thoughtful, and helpful. The front desk staff could improve politeness and soft skills. I would not stay here again.

We have stayed at Allerton in the past and I have always been well looked after--great beds and staff are very helpful.

Great hotel with lots of character in a prime location. Enjoyed coming and going as the staff was always very friendly and the hotel had lots of cool character and comfort.

Clean, but oddly designed room. The staff was friendly and included things like a gym and breakfast buffet which were a plus. The view from the room was pretty great and all in all was a pretty solid and comfortable room.

We have stayed at this hotel every year. We have never been put into a room like we had this time. The room was so small, we could barely find space for our luggage.

Close to everything and a half a block off the miracle mile. Walking distance to restaurants and some of the major attractions

I read the reviews before booking and was kind go skeptical. I checked in on a Sunday night and checked out on Wednesday. I had a single queen room overlooking Michigan Ave. My room was clean, the size was just right for me. The staff was friendly. There was plenty of hot water and nothing was out of sort. I ate breakfast at the restaurant once and had the crab cake benedict, they were not the best I have had, but definitely not the worst. If I had to say a negative it was that housekeeping never replaced the mitt that I used on my first night. So when I removed my make-up the following nights I had to use a towel. Was not the end of the world and it would not prevent me from booking a room here again.

Excellent staff and great location. Beautiful older building. Elevators are small and can be cramped with more than 3-4 people

It was great for what we needed. Just a place to sleep. Didn't spend much time in the hotel. Great location price was awesome

Nice hotel, great and friendly staff. Elevators very slow and small. Hotel will be working on them soon. Like that toilet and shower is separate from sink. Hard to get ready when, its just a sink and no countertop for personal items. There is a small edge. Bed comfortable. Overall good experience and would recommend. Parking $60 and tipping does get expensive fyi.

Great location but rooms could use a little upgrade plus they are on the smal side...

The only problem was slow elevator service. The location was great and easy to get around the city.
