The Westin Chicago River North

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very nice hotel, per friendly with no extra fee. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great location.

Construction noise in the adjoining room was aggravating. Other than that it was excellent

Beds were very comfortable. View was great. However they “shut the air off for the season”. I said I was hot (understanding it may be my own personal preference), and they gave me a fan since no windows open. WiFi was additional $14.95 cost for up to three devices. I went with my family, so I had to purchase nearly $30 worth of WiFi a day.

This was a very nice hotel in our room was large and very accommodating. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and very customer service oriented. The location of the hotel is ideal to walking around the city. Would definitely stay here again

Very nice hotel in a great location - Easy to get all around the city

I love this hotel. Perfect location great for the weekend

This hotel is in walking distance to the Loop and to the Magnificent Mile. Several CTA train stations were also close by. Lovely hotel in many ways. The entire staff was accommodating and friendly. The only possible drawback is not definite lobby; the lobby is part of a bar/restaurant area. But, overall, this place is highly recommended for the room and location as well as the views.

We planned this trip around a Cubs game but, also were thoroughly pleased with the many other sites, shopping and dinning close to the hotel!

Loved Chicago and the hotel was incredibly convenient.

Noise from other rooms quite evident. Toilet seat was broken. Parking was outrageously expensive and they don't tell you about the self park option! Breakfast buffet was not very impressive and the food was cold.

This hotel is great. We can hang out near here and eat food in five miniute walk.

It was great however you need to understand that this hotel will try to get as much money as possible out of you. From expensive Internet to 12 dollar domestic beers at the bar.

Went to Chicago for a girls trip and had a good experience at the westin. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect! Close to shopping, food, and nightlife. A little more expensive to park the car than expected. Alan the concierge was amazing!!!

the location on the river can't be beat. next to all the great restaurants and near all public transportation. the rain shower head was a happy surprise as well.

The location is great. After a quick check-in, we went to our room which ended up being the ADA room (which we didn't request or need). The shower had little to no water pressure and obviously was handicapped accessible, thus, no lip on the shower pan which leads to a flooded bathroom floor. It also comes equipped with two double beds, not a king or queen. We went back to the front desk and were told "since you booked through a third-party, we can't switch you to a different room as we need to reserve the rooms for OUR guests." So when you use a third-party for your booking at this hotel, you are not considered a guest. We then went to the lobby bar for a bit and when arriving back in our room, the house-keeping manager was in our room with the door closed and promptly told us the room is supposed to be vacant and why are you in it! I asked her the better question is why is she in my room? We left for the evening and upon arrival at 3a, our key was deactivated and we had to call security to come up and let us back in. All in all, a very poor experience with terrible customer service. There many hotels in Chicago and we will make sure to visit another next time we go down for an event or the weekend.

Nice bed, quiet, good breakfast though a bit expensive

The Westin is a great hotel. Very convenient location, very professional and friendly staff and amenities. Only complain was $54/day for valet parking. This is a bit over the top. If they are going to charge it, they should say so up front when you are making your reservation, since it is actually part of the price of the hotel.

Great hotel amenities. Good view. Close to shopping and restaurants. But parking was $50.

The hotel was very nice and clean and our room was nice size for a big city.

1. Poor host coverage at restaurant. Had to find a waiter who seated us and then we had to serve drinks to ourselves (coffiee and juice) before a server came over. This was at the restaurant in the hotel. 2. House keeping did not visit our room all day and we had to call for new towels and to have room service dishware removed at 11 pm. 3. Floor ice maker did not work. Rm 502 Disappointed in these but consierge, valets, bar servers, and doormen were exceptional.
