Overall an outstanding hotel. The location is ideal, and the staff is amazing.

The front desk of the hotel, Right now April 2017 is in remodelation, but everything was really good in my trip 4 nights with great comfort in my room. I visited the restaurant a couple times and the food was great!! The Staff was so friendly. Thanks Luis Rios

The Ritz Carlton is central to our preferred prime shopping and entertainment areas of the upper Michigan Avenue beat. It was the best value at this time when compared to other nearby hotels, including it's sister the XXXX XXXXXXX. No issues with the hotel itself and didn't take advantage of the house restaurant or in-room dining so no judgment there. Historically I found their menu to be pretty pricey but all are in that area. We have frequented the area for nearly forty years, primarily for shopping and entertainment venues. Our only disappointment is the loss of many of the shops and stores that we historically preferred, prime among them was Lord and Taylor, an early Water Tower anchor. Sadly, the loss of much of the Water Tower Place panache, is also true of upscale retail in most other parts of the area and of course other cities. While this trend is not forecast to reverse we will probably continue to plan trips of this kind. One point, possibly political, that needs to be said. Whenever we, coming from an even more rural state, mention to friends that we will be in Chicago, they without hesitation question our sanity. For many their only perspective is of the headline grabbing crime situation. The upper retail and entertainment district has a more common or even lesser crime issue but I can only imagine how Chicago could overall benefit and prosper if they legitimately reversed that as fact.

people that worked in the hotel were excellent from checkin to checkout...a couple of staffers were more than helpful...the location is great...we just really miss the old lobby and lounge area...the bellman and parking attendants were very helpful directing us to different attractions...of course the hotel is within several great place to go...we used a stroller and had no problems...

Not enough elevators and many not working very frustrating.

Lovely room, comfortable bed , wonderful view and most accommodating staff!!

This hotel seems old. Very nice but.. you expect more at this price

My two long time friends and I each year spend a weekend together going to a NFL game. This year we chose Chicago. The Ritz is in a great central location. The room was great, the price reasonable and the staff was very helpful. I am going to bring my girlfriend to Chicago next month and we will stay at the Ritz.

Excellent service. Spacious room with lake views. Great location.

Great location. Wonderful bar and restaurant. Fantastic service.

Great hotel, great staff. Beautiful rooms and worth every penny!

The hotel staff was top notch - always going that extra mile for us no matter what we needed (and we found ourselves needing a few things in our one night stay!). For marathon weekend this hotel had a rate not much higher than the rest of Chicago hotels so a big win for us! I will gladly splurge on this hotel for my next Chicago stay.

great hotel. spent a wonderful night at Chicago. however, the hotel itself is quite old compare to all the other five stars. good lake view during the day!

Our experience was perfect, fun food, helpful staff, lobby was so beautiful and the bars and restaurant were a treat at every turn. There was some construction while we were here, but it was of no bother. We were in town for an open water swim and the location was perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. What a great weekend. Our only complaint is that our bed was SO hot. We both woke up sweating, which we decided was due to a down pillow topper over the mattress as well as a down comforter. The pillow topper might only need to be a winter thing.

The staff was rude and arrogant; our room was not cleaned at 3:30 PM on the second day of our stay with absolutely no remorse. When we inquired about a late checkout we were told that the hotel was fully committed and it was not possible. After some screaming the late checkout was granted. We stay at the Ritz in Cleveland frequently and the experiences are like night and day. Cleveland is a real Ritz the Chicago Ritz is owned by the Four Seasons which apparently make a huge difference.

As always ritz aims to please. Great location great experience.

This hotel was amazing. The location was great and the staff was very friendly. We loved it here and the staff even surprised us with a cupcake for my husbands birthday. I definitely recommend this hotel and our next visit to Chicago we will definitely stay at the RItz CArlton.

wouldn't have stayed here without the on line deal but at the price and with parking included in the rate, it was worth it. Great lobby bar. Very quiet room.

Nice location, very close to dinning and shopping. Great hotel staff

First time to Chicago and the Ritz-Carlton was clearly the right choice! The staff was friendly and could not do enough for you. We were supposed to have two beds, but did not. Our room was upgraded to a two twin bed suite. It was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The Concierge staff was so helpful with questions and reservations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
