I stayed at the hotel about a year ago. It was great at that time. But this time the location was too noisy all the time. Fire department is located very close and motorcyclers were circling around every night... I should avoid staying downtown area next time.

I surprised my husband with a weekend trip to Chicago for his 60th birthday. We were able to move around the city by walking to our destinations from the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful in suggesting using the Blue Line from the airport, giving exact information about which stop we should get off and which direction to walk to get to the hotel. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. There were a lot of guests but they were able to keep things moving so everyone was able to enjoy their breakfast. I would recommend staying here and I will return when visiting Chicago again!

My husband and I just celebrated a big anniversary. And this was a perfect choice for a hotel. We were greeted by a friendly concierge who quickly upgraded us once I told him what we were celebrating. Fifteen minutes later, he arrived with two bottles of water, two net bags of candies, and two drink coupons at the bar. Although the location is near a fire station, the hotel provides, in each room, ear plugs and a white noise machine...perfect.

The staff could not be more perfect and accommodating. They were the most courteous and pleasing group of people. This is the second time we've stayed here and the second time was even better than the first. It's conveniently located. It's walking distance to the Red and Blue line. It's walking distance to the Navy Pier. I wish I had staff this good at my business.

There is a beautiful bar/restaurant with delicious food. The room was spacious and clean. We had a wonderful view of the city from our room. All of the staff was friendly and helpful with check-in and any questions. You also have access to text messaging any questions you may have during your stay. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Chicago.

No good breakfast at all.we stayed there for 5 days and out of those 5, we had breakfast out at the Aloft restaurant(which is right next door and it was very nice). Hotel is nice but don't keep any hopes for good breakfast which the label it as "complimentry".

We liked the easy location to get to everything. The hotel was not overly fancy or catering to the clients, ie there was never anyone at the concierge desk to ask basic questions of. The breakfast included each day was great, however! So nice, with eggs, sausage bacon , lots of fruit, and great coffee. The staff was very friendly and attentive when I needed something brought up to our room. We got a great south-facing view room with the afternoon sun streaming in our room. Very comfy beds, too!

Dan,the receptionist was so nice. He upgraded my room from king bed to queen beds with city view without extra charge. Room looks new and very comfort .Breakfast is good.Staff was very friendly.location is very good

Good Hotel, short walks to train stations and downtown. Also, relatively large rooms if staying with kids.

The hotel is in a nice part of the downtown with a lot of restaurants at walk distance. Instalations are modern and well conserved. In general the cleaness was fine although they forgot to clean my room two days in a row, so I had to call guest office. In addition there were some forgoten objects under the beds. The breakfast was average, nothing spectacular, after three days it is very difficult to continue eating the same. In spite of that, I will stay there again.

My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute! Great view out our huge window, comfy beds, roomy bathroom, pull out sofa and great breakfast. The location was perfect for walking.

$50 for overnight self parking at a 3 block away parking lot and $62 for valet. I should have gotten Uber instead of renting a car at the airport. The room i got had frosted windows., fist time I see this on a hotel.

I had a great stay at this hotel. I will stay here again.

Our family of four stayed at the Hyatt Place River North for two nights over President's day weekend. We chose Hyatt Place for the location and, having two teenaged sons, the room set up and more extensive breakfast. The location was great, but no where on their website did they mention the large fire station that was across the street. We became worried when we saw the ear plugs and noise machine. We survived a less of than restful night and went down to the "skillet breakfast". What we got: watery eggs, partially cooked sausage, and many empty serving dishes 30 minutes into breakfast. The "pastries" were stale slices of raisin bread, no breakfast sandwiches or waffles. The next day was worse: cut fruit, apple juice, peanut butter and butter were all gone and the kitchen had no more when asked. When I stopped at the desk to ask about the lack of food and the difference between what was advertised on their website and what was offered, I was told that I must have seen it on a different website as their was recently updated and accurate. They did apologize and gave us a few points in our Hyatt Gold account, but then I found out that program is changing at the end of the month as well. Truly disappointed in both the hotel and management.

awesome and beautiful, I will come back the hotel was great about checking in and the parking staff was great.

Lots of electric outlets. Great view of the city. Maggiano's restaurant right across the street. Great location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Chicago/River North. We had four adults (2 of which are grown 20+ year old "kids") into a room without issue. Booked with lead time at a great rate and the free breakfast is quite good and a super added value. I will stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. The location is great. We used Lyft (or choose Uber) to get to places we could not walk to leaving the rental car at a family member's to avoid the high cost to park a car...the one watch-out!

Stayed when seeing the Magnificent mile parade with my family. So close to the Mag Mile. Kids loved it. Spacious room. Checked in very easy and staff was very courteous. Will go back again..

Our stay was pleasant. We slept and ate well. The staff was available anytime and answered questions completely.

Amazing. Great location and wonderful hotel. It's within walking distance to almost all the big tourist attractions and in a very safe neighborhood.
