location is perfect, very well designed, secure, bar is convenient

A great new boutique hotel in the heart of Chicago—one steps right out on Michigan Avenue opposite Millennium Park and just a few steps from the Art Institute and the Loop. A well-designed little gem!

The only good thing about this hotel is its location so near Millenium Park - it is central, a close walk to the subway, electric train, and bus stations, and near to many attractions, including the superlative Art Institute. However, our stay was unpleasant for several reasons: We had to let the shower and faucet run for at least 20 minutes every morning to get hot water to our ninth floor room; the walls are paper-thin, and we could hear every murmer and TV show from our neighbors; and the staff weren't very helpful or kind. In fact, the manager was downright rude when dealing with a fouled up reservation. With so many hotels in downtown Chicago to choose from, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

Beautiful and stylish! The check in was smooth and the room is beautiful

We took a chance on this hotel in its first few weeks of its grand opening, and there wasn't a single review on here so I thought it would be great to get some going. They definitely deserve some recognition! This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded us a lot of the Godfrey brand which we frequent in Boston, and come to find out there is some overlap in the ownership. Very well run, appointed and the design was simply and elegant. Excellent location on Michigan Ave! We stayed here for a Pats/Bears game and the stadium is within easy walking distance.

Very nice hotel. Very modern and comfortable. Very convenient for transportation.

Food at ALK was lacking in something, and my table wobbled.

Perfect location near Millennium Park, theater district, the river.

fabulous location, great restaurants nearby, friendly staff, very comfy beds, luxurious towels, quiet room. Only complaint: electric eyes along sides of bed and in bathroom lit up every time anybody passed by so getting up to use the bathroom at night meant blazing brightness.

Brand new hotel nice clean and affordable in downtown

Great hotel. Only stayed one night but enjoyed everything about it. Would stay here again for sure!

Great location, very good hotel even better staff that greet you every single time you get on and off the elevator also very helpful. There is one thing I didn't like about the hotel and that was the size of shower very small.

Well located on Michigan Avenue across from Millenium Park.

Great trendy hotel in a good location near Millennium Park. Fun lobby with a bar and restaurant that you actually want to hang out in. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I’d stay here again!

Great hotel! Can’t believe it’s brand new. Will definitely go back.
