Seaside Inn Oceanfront

The hotel location was great. That was the best part. Bathroom was not very clean. The towels were dirty. The room was advertised as ocean view but we had a view of the wall. The beds were comfortable and the air worked well. At check out staff was rude and we received an extra charge for parking even though when we booked we were told parking was free The location was great but the staff and cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

Hotel is a bit out of date and does not appear to have been upgraded. However, the location definitely makes up for any shortcomings. You want to spend more time on the beach than in the room anyway and it is just a short walk away.

This hotel is great. The location is perfect. The roof deck pool is small but fun. The bar next door is a great addition. The maintenance/housekeeping crew are all nice. The front desk staff is rude and abrupt. Eye rolls and attitude!!! #fun oh, the included breakfast is straight up nasty. All that being said...the hotel is perfect and we seriously had a wonderful time!

The staff was nice but when we entered our room, itsmelled very musty. I ask other neighbors around us and there's did not smell. When I told the front desk about it they were not interested in coming and smelling it or trying to fix it. We turned our air conditioner down and eventually the room did start smelling a little better. I don't know if there something that is wrong with the air conditioning system or if there is something in the air conditioning system that is making it smell that bad.

Room with "part ocean view" is a joke, no view at all. A/C very loud and very smelly, high moisture, everything in room sticky.

I booked a room "with view" and "balcony" this isn't a hotel, it's a motel...The "balcony" is your walkway, When I booked with a view I assumed (big mistake) that it meant that we'd be looking out at the ocean. Instead we had the view of another facility's backyard with a crane dead center of our view. The staff was not friendly, they obviously did not want to be there. Our room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, to the point that it was not enjoyable. We had hair and other debris inside our refrigerator. Our sink did not look like it had been cleaned for quite sometime. The staff left a broken supplies cart out in the walk way the entire weekend with other trash hanging off of it. It was pretty trashy. There was no parking available, we ended up parking at the other end of the strip on the street. The hotel only has about 10 spaces at it's capacity and if they are taken you are out of luck.

Good views. Room not the cleanest and breakfast was below average

Room description stated room had a view & was fully remodeled. While there were new colors, flooring & shower tile, the rest left much to be desired. The room did not have a view, it was very small & not clean. The rug was stained & dirty, the walls were dirty, as was the furniture. The bath towels were mismatched colors & faded/stained. The entire room was dusty & it was as if nothing had been wiped down. The WiFi did not work, nor could we get a good cell signal inside the room. Ice machines did not work, nor did the showers coming off the beach. We were not comfortable but unfortunately the room was non refundable. So we wiped things down with Clorox wipes & made the best of it. Don't let the description fool you like it did us!

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. Both times have been in the off season. The location right on the beach. It is a 15 to 20 min drive to downtown charleston. It was impossible to get a uber on saturday night into Charleston. The taxi company was charging $38 one way. There are a few bars and restaurants on the island. Mount Pleasant is right over the bridge.

Due to past experiences at hotels that I reserved third-party and the price being so low I was definitely worried about the quality of my stay. Upon arrival I was Immediately relieved. The hotel was in a nice safe area close to many restaurants and things to do but wasn't so busy that I felt crowded and unsafe. The hotel room was very clean and updated accordingly. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I am considering seaside inn for my summer family vacation. We've stayed at beachfront properties elsewhere for 5 times the cost but not near as nice or accommodating.

Reasonably priced for the location. Rooms are updated and staff is extremely nice.

This hotel was perfect for one night on the beach. We didn't have a view but could walk to the beach in seconds. The staff was very friendly. The room could have been a bit cleaner but I felt comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Great place for a weekend away! Walking distance from lots of great restaurants and a quick drive to Shem Creek where you can enjoy dinner and the Dolphins at RB's!

Not good not good. Not good Not good not adding any more

This is a good, inexpensive motel with a grand location. Everything one needs is within walking distance. Breakfast provided by staff was good and adequate. Coffee was excellent. Staff were cordial and helpful. One of the better beaches in South Carolina.

From the outside the hotel looks really nice and the rooms are decent, however, once you walk inside, the room smelled awful - musty and mildewy. Then after the cleaning people came it smelled like bleach. The towels were dingy and worn. I felt the rooms were overpriced. All the staff were excellent -- very friendly and helpful. No complaints there.

The facility was clean, convenient, and cozy. The staff were amazing!! The room was modern and had all of the amenities you would expect. A really nice hotel for the price. We will come again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea Side Inn. Great location to beach, restaurants and shops. Shane at the front desk was very helpful with information. Also enjoyed the short drive to downtown Charleston (if you don't mind driving over BIG bridges).

The Seaside Inn was everything we wanted for our vacation. The entire staff was the best. They were friendly and helpful. We arrived early, checked with the staff and informed they would phone us as soon as our room was ready. They location of the hotel allowed us to walk to eat or shop if we chose to. It also gave multiple options and directions to drive to eat, shop or play. The beach was great. It was very family friendly and relaxing. I can't wait to go back!
