We were the last to check in the hotel according to the staff. Me and my 2 small children were given a room next door to the laundry area across from a dingy stairwell. There were so many other rooms I could have been given as hotel was not full. Empty rooms everywhere. The room smelled of old smoke and general nastiness. We pulled the top comforter back and slept on top of the sheets with our on balnkets and kept our shoes on until we went to bed. The bathroom smelled worse. My kids were like "mom this is the worst hotel ever". I felt awful for my kids. The pictures or Orbitz did not accurately reflect the hotel. This was more like a 45.00 a night hotel experience. The sign out front said contractor discounts. I should have just spent the money and went to the nice new Hampton Inn next door.

Check in was awful. Very time consuming even with online reservation confirmations for 3 rooms. It was dark outside and no lights were on outside to light the way to the rooms. The outside lights must have been on a timer because they came on about 30 minutes after the elderly people had to walk in the pitch black to their rooms. Rooms were not very clean. Daughters feet were black after playing in room for an hour. All 3 rooms had roaches overnight when people went to the restroom. Spoke to manager who advised they did not have roaches and how dare I say that. Well guess what, when I took pictures she refused to look at them. Toilet stopped up at 7 am and went to get plunger. Manager refused to give us a plunger and said maint. would take care of it when they got there at 8. Told her I had family of 4 in room and they were waking up needing to use bathroom and get ready for day. All around a terrible stay.

Not the nicest days inn I've stayed in but better than some of the other value hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are outdated and the beds aren't that comfortable, but the location is good and the staff was friendly.

We were in the mood for a snack and found no snack machines on site. And there was only one drink machine on the property. Also the Breakfast area was very small and crowded. The price that we got online was really great though.

We stayed in this room on the weekend of Cooper River Bridge Run. Is was an old hotel, and the rooms were not that nice. We paid outrageous price for rooms but this was due to the race weekend. Someone was knocking on our door and walking away. I did not feel comfortable from a safety standpoint. Next year I will make sure I book my hotel far ahead of the race.

Well about 3 am I awake scratching my arm, then my leg, then my chin. I could not go back to sleep. After about 15 minutes of scratching I go to the bathroom and look at my arm and it is huge. Very red.. so I did not go back to sleep at all that night. I got up when the sun came up and showered and put on my clothes. while putting on my close I saw a little brown insect come out of one of the pillows. Looked up bed bugs and yep looked just like what was on google. I got the bug took it up front and also showed them my arm. before I could get a refund. What an experience. I informed them that I would do the survey that is sent after my stay and it would not be a good one. So here you go!!!

I live locally to the hotel. Hubby and I booked a get away weekend. It was everything we had hoped for and more!!!! Our room was great, the cleaning staff was very helpful and it was just an all around relaxing weekend! Thank you!

We booked our hotel and received a confirmation. When we got to the hotel the lady at the hotel said they were full and they had canceled our reservation. I never received an email from the online booking, a call from the hotel or anything. We were also told that all the hotels around the area are booked, but we crossed the street to another hotel and had a great night stay, their hotel was recently renovated and in great shape.

Exactly what I wanted for the price paid. Clean room, nice staff, good location. No thrills, no frills

Comapring this Days Inn to the one in Orlando and thinking it would be close to the same was a very huge mistake on my part. For better or worse, this one (N. Charleston) needs to be renovated immediately. Paying $60 plus a day for an air condition that worked at half of the time was a killer. Everything was outdated to include hairdryer, refrigerator, microwave, especially the television. Some of the sport channels were not there. Housekeeping did do there job and I really appreciate their services (big plus). It is not the staff fault for the place being in the shape it is in and that is why I gave it average. If I had to choose, I would scrape up the extra money for the Holiday Inn down street or for the A Loft behind this Days Inn. In Orlando, I spent less than a hundred dollars more for seven day stay, with more to offer, and better services and facilities under the same name (Days Inn). They just need to upgrade and lower their prices. I do not need to see the handy man running from room to room because things are not functioning in various rooms before I check in....

The atmosphere was relaxing. The beds were excellent. The breakfast was free, however, the lines was too long to get into the dining area.

Rooms were just ok, somewhat clean, and very outdated. Do not go by what you see in the pictures. I was expecting it to be a little nicer, but instead it was pretty much a tired old motel. The one good thing is the location, it is less than 10 minutes from downtown.

This location was great for us to get to Downtown, the beaches, and to Daniel Island for tennis. It is run-down, but was clean with friendly staff and a filling breakfast.

I liked the hotel because it was convenient store, gas station and a restaurant.

visit family the room was full of bugs dead and alive even the tub..the room was extremely dirty the carpet was unbeleivable dirty you could not take your shoes off..the staff was very unfriendly.. the worst experience we have had

Our room was just fine we had everything we needed and it was clean, the continental breakfast needs improvement but overall we were comfortable and the staff was very nice.

Not the nicest days inn I've stayed in but better than some of the other value hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are outdated and the beds aren't that comfortable, but the location is good and the staff was friendly.

bed bugs

Well about 3 am I awake scratching my arm, then my leg, then my chin. I could not go back to sleep. After about 15 minutes of scratching I go to the bathroom and look at my arm and it is huge. Very red.. so I did not go back to sleep at all that night. peaceful get away

I live locally to the hotel. Hubby and I booked a get away weekend. It was everything we had hoped for and more!!!! Our room was great, the cleaning staff was very helpful and it was just an all around relaxing weekend! Thank you!
