We loved the new updates. The only issue w/ the room is it could have used a little more light. It stays a little to dark even w/ all the lights on. The same goes for the bathroom! We had dinner the night we arrived at Stinky's and I will have to say we were a little disappointed. Service was slow because they seemed under staffed and had they had a large table in the restaurant and that seemed to have everyone's attention. We waited for every course of our meal for extended periods of time. We liked one of our apps but the main courses were bland and we thought it was going to be better. We had higher expectations then what was delivered would be the best way to word it. The hotel staff was friendly accommodating!

It was great, the Staff was grear but no free breakfast and no free wifi sucks for the amount I paid. Plus my room lost power for a hour at 9pm at night and we had to wait in the dark until the maintance man got off break to do something about it.

Great hotel. Very nice newly updated hotel and great staff.

They overbooked the hotel and sent me to a Residence Inn down the street despite me being a Gold Marriott member. Completely ridiculous

Very impressed with hotel. staff and amenities. My new go to hotel when staying in Baton Rouge.

The hotel is under renovation, which should be a good thing. The Lounge area is pretty terrible. Not a good atmosphere at all. Not somewhere you'd want to hang out. The staff was all new and not knowledgeable. Cant even charge drinks to your room. The room was nice, renovated. The air condition is centrally controlled. The high fan wouldn't work, the ac said it was on 60F, it was more like 75F. The water in the bathroom faucet wasn't controllable. Hot was cold, cold was hot and fluctuated back and forth.

We stayed at Marriott Baton Rouge on March 10th and had a horrible experience. We stayed at 13th floor and after been inside the room for 30 min a lot of black smoke start to come out of the AC vent. Within few seconds a big flame of fire start to come out of the AC wall. Kids panicked and start to shout and scream. I immediately call the front desk about the fire and took the kids and wife out of the room. Smoke alarm went off. Hotel rep came up and try to extinguish fire with a fire extinguisher with no success. A lot of smoke start to come out of the room. We went downstairs to the reception and been assigned a room on 15th floor immediately and told that its safe to use elevator. By the time we reached 15th floor emergency alarm took off and announcement made to all occupant to leave rooms immediately and go to muster area using stairs. My wife had a knee condition so she panicked going down 15 floor but somehow managed to come down. When we come out there were alteast 5 fire trucks with a big crew preparing to go upstairs to handle the fire. It was past 11 pm by now. It took them till midnight to take control of fire. My kids were scared to go back to a different room but we were out of choice at that late in night. The next morning the receptionist ask me to stop by before leaving hotel. He promised to compensate us of our ordeal and said will call later. He did call the same day and said 40,000 points to our rewards account. Till date I've not received those points.

I 'M SO HAPPY BECAUSE THE FRONT DESK LADIE HER NAME IS BETTY SHE WAS SO WODERFULL VERY FRIENDLY THE SOON WE GOT THERE FOR CHECK IN SHE RECOGNIZE MY VOICE, BECAUSE I CALL A DAY BEFORE TO COMFIRM MY RESERVATION. BETTY SGE IS A WODERFULL EMPLOYEE. I WANT GO BACK BECAUSE I LOVE HER SERVICES. MARIA M.

this was a nice hotel, convenient to just about anything. nice little bar inside the hotel, with very friendly bartenders, but not really fully stocked. I didn't use the pool, but it looked nice.

Overall our stay was pretty good. Had a couple of run-ins with the revolving door. I really think that could become a serious situation. We ordered room service at 10:30 PM and were told it was closed. But it was clearly written on all hotel information and the menu that it closes at 11 PM. Also found items under the beds that were not ours. Items you would not want your children to find if you know what I mean. I also believe that the rooms in a Marriott Hotel should come with a microwave and mini fridge. Especially if Room service is not going to stay open until the advertised time. Did have an awesome bell lady to take our luggage to the car when we checked out.

Hotel staff was exceptional. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Disappointed that there was no mini fridge or microwave in our room. Also there was no fan or ventilation in the restroom. Unless you kept the door wide open, the restroom became very warm and stuffy. While Wifi is available at this hotel, it is not free for their guests.

I was in town to see some friends play music in Baton Rogue and chose the Marriott Hotel. It was easy to find, very clean and the staff was super. I would stay there again.

Clean, quite, great staff... Kudos to check-in staff car rep Kayla :-)

Great value for the money. Location was nice and good place to stay for a couple days in Baton rouge

very friendly, helpful and courteous staff. clean nice room. great location. will stay here again.

The Front Desk Staff were absolutely incredible. The Hotel itself is a bit dated (late 60s, my guess) but undergoing rehab. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast definitely lacking - a bit overpriced with few selections. Wait staff VERY attentive. Overall, priced for the completed renovation - not the current condition.

The staff was awesome. everyone was super nice. Will stay there again next time i am in Baton Rouge. Hotel was close to everywhere we wanted to go!

IMprovements needed: A/C was semi-functional. TVs are old school. Bar closes at 11 pm. Room was clean but you can tell the rooms have been renovated a few times. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with supplies. Staff is friendly and helpful.
