I have no complaints about the hotel. Staff was friendly enough, but didn't go out of their way to be overly hospitable...did just enough. Which is fine. Housekeeping knocked at 9 am trying to get in to clean room, but checkout wasn't until noon. Wires got crossed somewhere. Very spacious & comfortable room.

The hotel is in a great location with lots of places to go to within minutes from the hotel. The property is one of the best in Louisiana.

Thursday night fine. Myself and 8 other groomsmen got dressed there before wedding Friday during day. Everything fine up to this point. Problem: Specifly requested room to be cleaned before wedding over and I return with with my new bride. Room was not cleaned after a face to face conversation with front desk. Over all staff extremely friendly, but somebody screwed up. Unsatisfied customer.

I needed to make last-minute travel plans due to a family emergency. Sadly, my mother-in-law passed away beforre we could get to the hospital from Pittsburgh. The Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel provided a very pleasant environment and comfortable accommodations during this very sad time.

The Renaissance wa a great choice. The staff was pleasant and prompt in meeting my needs and I would definitely stay again!

I booked a junior suite for my stay but upon arrival I was told that there were none available so was given a 2 queen beds instead and was told that they are equivalent. I don't know why they would be equivalent when the one I booked was supposed to be a 2 queen beds with a living room while the one I got was without a living room. Usually a better room is offered yet at Renaissance you get a downgrade. I had called a day ahead to let them know that I will be arriving late and that I would like to request a microwave since I have an infant with me and was told that I will get the suite I've booked along with the microwave since I have a young infant. Upon arrival I was given none of those instead I get to deal with a receptionist who lacked customer service skills. She told me that there were no notes on the call or request I've made hence I guess it was her justification that it was okay to downgrade my room. She insisted that I named the person I had spoke to the day before so that they can rectify but why does it matter who said what when what they have focus on is they did not deliver their promise. I was upset but let that pass yet the next day I could not get housekeeping to clean my room. Their justification was that when they came by earlier there was a "privacy" sign up...well I am requesting one now yet due to an early action I was not allowed to get room service as a consequence. What is this blasphemy!! One the second day I made sure there's no privacy sign up and even walked up to housekeeping to personally request service with a pleasant smile...I did get my room service but all it was were my beds made, new towels and the remote moved. Nothing was wiped down, no toilet paper, soap or other toiletries replenished.

When we checked in I did not realize we were not in a suite. We quickly put our bags in the room and left for dinner. I didn't think about it until later that night. I went to the front desk the next morning and they said they could change our room for the second night or comp us breakfast. I asked for a refund for the room difference, I was told this could not be done. Very disappointing.

The room was so clean. Friendly staff and a great location for shopping and eating. it was 5 mins next to the Mall of Louisiana. The Hotel was beautiful inside along with the rooms. Me and my husband loved it here and definitely would come back.

The service in the restaurant was exceptional as was the food. The rooms were nice, and the amenity brands were great. It would have been nice to have a new bar of soap after the first night or 2, but they did give us one on the 3rd night. I would stay there again, but would probably try another hotel first.
