Front desk receptionist was amazing, very nice and polite. very informative. disappointed that they advertise parking but its extremely expensive. too much!!! the bathroom wall paper was peeling and and seem like the paint was peeling by the shower. we ate at the bar and the server was very nice an had very good suggestions. food was delicious *-flat bread was delicious and so was the dessert. beds were comfy and clean. we stayed 2 nights and housekeeper cleaned the room on our first day..

Had to find somewhere nice to stop overnight in DC on my way to NY. This hotel is only about a 3 block walk from Congress, so sightseeing was very easy. Staff was very accommodating and polite. I am a Orbitz Platinum member and upon check-in was given an upgrade to the best available room overlooking the National Mall. Room service breakfast in the morning was convenient, prompt, and reasonably priced. I definitely will look to stay here again.

Girls trip to see the cherry blossoms. This is the perfect area to stay in. Waking distance to most places and very convenient.

My family (wife and 2 kids) stayed here last week for a quick trip to DC. It is a convenient 3 block walk from Union Station, which was appealing. The rooms were nice and clean. There were renovations going on during the day on our floor, which didn't bother us at all since we were out sightseeing. The staff was very friendly & courteous. I would definitely have rated this hotel higher in quality if it was not for the additional $20 PER NIGHT "Facility Fee" they charge you each night over and above what is charged by Orbitz. I complained to the desk clerk about this fee, as well as the Manager (Simon) via phone. I got the sense this is something that people complain about A LOT. I was told that the facility fee provides free WIFI, coffee in the lobby, and water in the room. Obviously, these are all amenities provided for no charge by most reputable business class hotels, and these "amenities" are a thinly veiled excuse to upcharge your bill and to make the pricing of their property compare more favorably to other hotels in the area that don't charge this fee. I asked to have the fee removed and was rebuffed both times as I was told the fee is noted when booking. Technical, they are correct about this but its essentially in the fine print that most people don't look at when quickly booking a room online. Because of this duplicitous fee, I won't be returning and recommend others consider this when selecting accommodations. Lesson learned.

This is a very nice hotel that is close to the mall and only a couple of blocks from the US Capital Building. Great place to stay for business or family vacation as it is walking distance from the monuments, White House and the museums.

The location of this hotel is outstanding - right next to the Capitol, Mall and Union Station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the view of the Capitol building, especially at night, was amazing!

We stayed for three nights at the hotel. The mattress was wonderful (I never slept so well). Room is large, clean and comfortable. Staff and location is great.

We took the train into the city and easily walked to the hotel. The neighborhood is decent and non threatening. The staff stored my luggage because I arrived very early but they called me when the room was ready. Only casual dining was available in the evening during my weekend stay. Otherwise I have no complaints.

They accommodated our needs. My roommate was able to check in early. I was able to take advantage of the late checkout while waiting on my flight departure.

Comfortable, convenient, clean. Our stay was very pleasant.

Nice staff, great food, beautiful hotel and great location. Only thing I can complete about is the shower. The paint was peeling off. Otherwise, beautiful hotel.

Staff was very helpful and efficient with small repairs to phone and safe.Location is excellent. We were able to walk just about everywhere. Would stay here again.

After arriving 6 hours late from having problems with Amtrak, the hotel clerk shoved a document in from of me and convinced me to sign it. He insisted on a credit card and stated that it was for incidentals. He could not give me a clear definition of what incidentals were. He insisted that there would be a hold of $150.00 plus any additional charges. He also stated that $69.00 would be charged to my card even if I did not use any additional services. This was in addition to the $821.00 which I prepaid through Orbit Travel to secure the room!

Bartender on duty Saturday evening very rude. Would not accept valid PA drivers license as an ID. MOD also informed the hotel no longer accept PA drivers license. Do not recommend this hotel for anyone with a valid PA drivers that may want to order an alcoholic drink. Total unacceptable! Beware!

The location is great, staff was great, however the renovations to the room (at least ours) incomplete. Poor attention to finishes. There were outlets not functional, fridge not functional, safe not functional, data port hanging out of wall, painters tape still on fire sprinkler, drywall mud on light switches, etc. The bathroom desperately needs ventilation one time set off the smoke alarm taking a shower. The toilet also had a really weak flush to it. I must say though that the water pressure and hot water were excellent.

Great stay, great staff. Very comfortable accommodations, excellent location. Staff was friendly!

Restaurant under renovation when we visited. Elevators fast. Nice lobby.

Great location, friendly staff, superb room. I enjoyed my stay. Perfect for business trips

Adequate hotel, lovely staff, but little character or warmth. Felt like staying in an empty office building.

A well appointed, spacious, clean, and comfortable room. Friendly and cheerful staff. Rooms are starting to show some signs of wear.
