Close to the Capitol. Rooms updated and clean. Comfortable beds and space to relax.

The Hyatt Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the mall.

Very clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and wonderful friendly staff. I was really comfortable and slept well which I never do at a hotel! Very quiet.

Pros: It was close to the mall. It was inexpensive. It had a great breakfast. Cons:No restaurants nearby, loud from nearby train and fire station

Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are very nice and clean

The bartender in the evening was super knowledgeable about bourbon and scotch- real opportunity to learn from a pro. The rest of the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Rooftop bar. 24 hour restaurant. Excellent staff. Great service.

Check in staff were super helpful, Lance was wonderful throughout our stay. Great location, within walking distance of the National Mall, District Wharf, The Spy Museum, Metro etc.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, including eggs and meat every day. Steelcut oatmeal was superb. Staff was friendly and helpful, particularly Dean and Gianni. Hotel is over a fire station, so noise in the middle of the night can awaken you most nights. Request not to be on 4th street side.

Overall i have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Washington/National Mall for a family trip. It was a great location for us for walking to all the monument, Smithsonians, Capital Hill and it’s close to the Metro. We loved the room, it was clean and quiet. The pool was loved by our younger kids! The breakfast in the morning was pretty crowded and a little underwhelming, but okay. I would stay in this location again for the price and location.

I really liked how the concierge texted me daily to inquire if I needed anything or how my stay was. The only thing I didn’t like was low water pressure in shower but may have been a busy time for others showering too I’m not sure.

The hotel was clean and very family friendly. The staff were very responsive. The outdoor pool, although a little on the smaller side, was fantastic.

good place, walking distances to many important museums and shopping and churches

Lobby furniture is badly in need of replacement. Chairs are soiled and ratty. My room was adequate but dated. There is no place to get food other than the ok breakfast buffet. My room was not cleaned the last day I was there. The bed was “made”—wrinkled and sloppy. Housekeeping sent someone to clean when I called, and she did clean the room. There are no newspapers for sale. In Washington, DC there should be the NYT, The Post, the WSJ AND/or USA Today. Internet news is not complete or analytical enough for what one might need. The nearest place to buy a paper is several blocks away— in the opposite direction from the Mall or the Capitol. It was an underwhelming experience.

Thank you for staying with us and was able to enjoy our proximity to places of interest for the right price. As in any city properties, it's inevitable from the sirens and trains which is one of the most utilized mode of transportation for locals and visitors. We do look forward in serving you again in the near future.
