Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington D.C. – Convention Center

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Hotel was very nice, great location near the convention center and the staff was great.

We have stayed at Embassy Suites many times and always enjoyed our stay. The only complaint was the lack of view. First property that did have windows on both sides. Otherwise a great stay.

Staff very helpful and pleasant. Each day a text was sent to ascertain if I needed anything.

Walking distance to most attractions. Also had a great breakfast

Close to everything..Huge breakfast area. Get a room on the 15th floor

The relation quality - price is great. Big rooms with a little living room and kitchen. A great pool to relax after a hard day of tourist. Good restaurant and room services. Excellent breakfast. Everything is good. I will repeat when I return to Washington DC

The hotel is attractive which spacious, clean, new rooms. They look great (one caveat is the white plastic towel rods that look like sprinkler pipe - these were totally out of character for an otherwise well decorated room). The pool and hot tub were great. The pool is designed as a lap pool, but on the weekends, is better for kids than for laps. Might be completely different on a school day. There are plenty of (better than typical) lounge chairs. The fitness facility has new equipment. It is a moderate size for a hotel (about 9 pieces of cardio equipment and some weight machines and dumbbells). I thought it might be overcrowded given the hotel's size, but at least when I went (Columbus day, 7am) it was pretty empty. There is a welcome cocktail reception (family friendly). Not sure if that is standard for Embassy Suites, but it was a really nice touch to enjoy a couple of complimentary drinks, chips and salsa. The desk and bell staff were welcoming and helpful. The bar tender at the welcome reception did a great job serving lots and lots of people and kept the line short, but she got a little grouchy as the eve went on. That is probably a management mistake for not staffing two bartenders. At the breakfast: the lines were awful, even worse for the regular buffet than for custom eggs. They need more staff or to rearrange the flow of people. You should not have to wait 20 to 30 minutes just to get through the line. What if you have a meeting our tour scheduled?

We were able to walk to many venues. Kids liked the pool although they were too tired to go more than once. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the valet parking! Room was clean and bed comfy. Enjoyed the free happy hour and free breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

I will stay again , great food in walking distance .

Why stay anywhere else in dc. Great staff great breakfast & two hours of drinks & snacks at night.

This hotel was great. It was about an 8 block walk from most of the sites we wanted to visit. I only wish they had stated the cost for overnight parking so we could factor that in. Other than that We enjoyed our stay.

Good location, about a 30 minute walk to the National Mall. Loved the free breakfast (with omelets) every morning.

A nice family trip and the breakfast was fantastic with hot meals and fresh fruits.

I booked at the last minute to attend a conference at the Washington Convention Center. The location was closer and the cost was 40 less the the hotel that my corporate travel agency had recommended. When I checked in the valet parking attendant suggested that I park in the public lot across the street which was 1/2 the price of the hotel parking. Since I was on a tight budget, it really enhanced my visit. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

The front desk very helpful in getting a sightseeing night view of Washington D.C. Very close to Chinatown to the southwest Walking distance. Just south are Hermes store, I bought a tie. National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum just south at Address: 8th St NW & F St NW, Washington, DC 20001 Hours: Open today · 11:30 am – 7:00 pm

This hotel was amazing. ALL the employees were all so helpful and always had a smile on their face. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The nightly managers refreshment/snack reception was excellent!! They had games available to play with your family - excellent idea! The hotel is right in the heart of the city. We walked to everything!! Lots of nice shops & great restaurants nearby! The only con, and its not the hotels fault is the very thin walls. I heard word for word our neighbors conversation and i believe the people above us through our vents. Other than that this hotel exceeded our expetations and would surely reccomend them!! Had an awesome vacation and Embassy helped with that!!

The hotel staff were able to move our rooms and make sure we had adjoining rooms during a busy time. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and went the extra mile. The kids loved the cocktail hour with the shirley temples and snacks the adults like the wine and beer! We had a great time, is close to the mall, easy to jump on mass transit when needed, and overall a nice experience. We would stay here again.

beautiful experience, great hotel, excellent breakfast.

In town to see a concert. Hotel was within walking distance and the hotel staff were very helpful with any questions. The room accomodations were great. We would stay there again.

My wife and I had a great time in DC. The hotel was comfortable within walking distance of most sights.
